Quick theory idea: "Blessings from the earth, Devil's palms, The Holy Corpse, etc." are all reoccurring things in this universe and are directly related/causality based to each other, all with the Corpse being the catalyst. We learned in part 8 that the corpse was taken by the Speedwagon Foundation, and they are based in America. Hawaii is a part of America. What if someone, either a part of the organisation or a completely different descendant of a Steel Ball Run character or something like that, just straight up stole the corpse like Johnny did after part 7, and did so because they could see how dangerous it is. And the only way they thought to permanently and completely get rid of it was to drop it into an active/lava-filled volcano, thus transferring it's power to the land/island/only the volcano or whatever. Hell, it could've even been this world's Joseph who did it, mirroring how the original Joseph tried to kill off Cars in a volcano as well. Just an idea. Could be possible, could be completely off track. I dunno
So you gotta re read Jojolion, because the corpse is literally still buried in the Higashikatas backyard. But what you have to remember? Saints are those who master the spin. There can be more than one and there have been more than one as pointed out by the characters in steel ball run. What I’m concerned about though, is what else is out there. The Lava Rock reminds me of the corpse and wonder of u. Attracting good fortune to the rock itself.
@Darth_Bateman Uh... I really don't want to be "that guy" and correct anyone or anything, but it is specifically stated in Jojolion that after Johnny's death, the Speedwagon Foundation agents that were following him since he stole the corpse took it for themselves. Probably for research purposes. It didn't remain buried in the hill, and the hill wasn't even in the Higashikata estate. It's where Shakedown Road is. The shrine to Johnny's legend there has a counterpart which is found on the estate, which is where some of the wall eyes are, and is where the equivalent exchange can occur in the ground. Also, "Saints" aren't specifically people who master the spin. As Gyro said: "A person can only be called a Saint after at least 2 miracles can be attributed to them after they died." Some Saints surely would've mastered Spin, but it's not a requirement to be one. The main reason I'm thinking about the Holy Corpse from part 7 is that it was a major part of the story obviously and also contributed to the events of part 8. It's also the corpse of Jesus Christ, so I'm pretty sure that that's something worth capitalising on for story purposes. Plus, if any corpse of a saint can somehow survive a lava bath, as well as a couple thousand years of natural weathering, it would be the Holy Corpse
First of all, psychopathy is a personality disorder, not a mental disorder. Its not something that can be cured or treated. With that out of the way, here's my theory on how I think things will go on. So, the lava rock. It attracts objects with sentimental value, not necessarily ones that have monetary value. The protag is a self-centered asshole who just wants wealth and doesn't exactly cares for his partners. Now think back to gangster movies like Scarface, where the asshole protag fights to get to the top of the world, but to get there loses everything he ever cared about in the process to the point that his victory is ultimately shallow and phyrric. Now back to the lava rock, and what I believe is the central theme of this part's plot and what's coming Jodio's way, learning and choosing what really matters in his life, what it is that is really valuable. He will have to make those choices, whether to stand up for his partners/friends/family or sacrifice them.
I think you misunderstood Jodio completely. He may not be capable of caring in the typical way, but he believes in “rules” and those rules keep him grounded. Rules like fair play, trust, and family. Furthermore, Jodio DOES care about Dragona. Enough to square up with a cop packing heat. He cares about his mother enough to use his connections to make her life comfortable. Most importantly, he cares about rules enough to let an undercover cop nearly bust him.
Psychopaths lack any form of empathy, this makes them very self-centered and manipulative. They will "care" for other people if they see those people as his "property" or an extension of themselves, or if it is on their best interests to care for those people and treat them well. Jodio is likely the latter.
@@MagmaMKIIPsychopathy is a spectrum, meaning that not all psychopaths are the same. Some of them may have a certain level of empathy and care for some people, though it's a very tiny group of people.
it definetely feels like a breath of fresh air compaired to jojolion since we got to read wonder of u for like 3 years straight its nice to go back to more simple stuff but this part definetely has room to develop
im loving it so far, reading jojos monthly and thinking about how it might go for like 10 years of my life is so much fun. I only first watched jojo and became a jojo fan right near the end of part 8 coming out, and then I fell out of it and in 2022 I read part 7 and in 2023 read part 8, now im reading it weekly and will be for like a decade 💀 thats so cool
Jodio character seems interesting, darker direction of the gangster Anti-hero. Giorno who was ruthless but had moral boundaries he wouldn't cross, such as selling drugs to minors. Ultimately had morally good intentions, that involved taking control of mafia in order to make the streets safer. Constrant to Jodio who is not only self-serving. His a violent, impulsive and arrogant street thug who wiling to use any means necessary to acquire wealth. Well as being a psychopath. Essentially Jodio and his crew are Villian protagonists. Fascinating too see where the Big Bad stand is he/she gonna as be evil as Jodio, we get an Evil vs Evil conflict. Or is the Big Bad is gonna more evil making him/her just a complete monster, in comparison to Jodio and his crew making them anti-heroes as they have the higher moral ground in regard to the conflict. Araki pull twist Jodio becomes the Big Bad antagonist if continues on the trajectory his on. This definitely has potential.
I LOVE the anti-hero jojos above all else. But personally I don't know how I'd feel about an evil Jojos protagonist. I kind of like the idea that despite how morally questionable some of them may be, at the end of the day all jojos are still heroes. But idk. I'm down to be proven wrong if the story of a villain jojo protagonist is good.
@@bigmanontheinternet3824 I agree, a villian JoJo protagonist would be interesting but execution wise would need masterfully done. In comparison to the Villian antagonist, Villian protagonist would need likeable traits that would ender the viewers. Uphold to certain moral principles and individual he cares about.
As much as the plot is definitely leaning towards a capitalist bastard with a volcanic rock like the Jolanders being the villain, I'm really hoping for a villain that wants to get rid of the Jolanders and their families to just wipe the slate clean, leading to the crew caring about each other and their families and resulting in a "Hero" trying to defeat the "Villains", leading to the Villains wanting to become Heroes for once
So this is kinda random but I honestly would like this to be heard by someone. This is basically a cool stand idea that would be fun in part 9 as a major side villain ability. The name I thought of was “Duel of the Fates” a double sided blade with the handle made from steel and dark wood. It has the power of granting immense physical strength, fighting technique, foresight, an extendable chain in the hilt, and can push/repel anything in contact with the side of the blade. It does play off some of the ideas of Anubis from part three of adapting to opponents over time which I feel makes the user quite terrifying. This concept makes me think of the user feeling similar to Toji fushigoro from jjk who is an assassin for hire which would work for the story. I wish I had any good capabilities of drawing since I feel this would be a really cool ability to see since brawling stands make for good fights. The only reason why I feel it could backfire is how there is so much given in “Duel of the Fates” arsenal but that is to make him an overwhelming threat. I’m probably going a bit far in detail by this point but I could see this ability’s user entering the manga after doing a job to take down king crimson using the foresight to react and kill him. I hope you see this Metas as I feel like you might find this really fun to read but have an awesome day bud and keep up the good work!
"First action is to get cash from Rohan" Why does this sound so familiar? 11:03 I can vaguely see where the wind blows from. The throughline of the original story(additionally strenghened by the anime adaptation, but it was always there) is that Jonathan grew up to be a symbol of positive change upon the world and thus it is fate that in the future, his family will always appear to combat evildoers. Under that idea, even morally questionable criminals have to ultimately be good people, it would make no sense otherwise. Araki wanted to do other things, so we went to an unrelated universe. And that thematically allows for Jojos that aren't strictly in the right because suddenly none of them are related to the original Jonathan anymore, so it wouldn't mess with anything. If anything, some specific things seem to be specifically inverted here.
I'm enjoying the story so far. All I'm really hoping for (in terms of what ifs and fanservice): humanoid november rain or a suprise evolution. Something decent for Jodio's stand
Funny to hear that you were worried about the Joestar siblings not getting development before the most current chapter gave them SO much great development less than ten hours ago 😂
Well at least 2 counterparts (well 3 for SBR) have stuck with the cast in the new universe Johnny, Gyro, and Lucy Josuke (Kira +Josephumi), and Yasuho So unless Dragona or Charming Man are counterparts. They join soon enough
Dragona fairly obviously seems to me to be a counterpart to Anasui. They both have androgynous/feminine designs, their stands have similar abilities of altering and rearranging matter, and they both have the letter D prominently featured in their design (on Diver Down also in Anasui’s case).
I wonder if Rohan being relatively untouched in this universe compared to the others where they had counterparts to the original universe such as Kira who's a serial killer in the original but part of the Joestars in this universe will be important later. Or it's just a case of Araki self inserting to give the plot device.
4 months after this I just want to say I'm so fucking excited to see how this continues, I already love Bobby Jean, Lulu, AND Howler! I cannot wait to see everything develop and how these silly characters grow Charmingman also quickly stole the spot as my favourite character lmao Araki is absolutely cooking, and even though I was admittedly a little bit bored during the Cat Size stuff, everything since has absolutely captivated me and I am genuinely SOO excited to see where it goes! I have so many questions lmaooo
Since part 7, Araki has been bombarding us with a lot of mystical metaphors like the corpse, the rokakaka fruit, and now I guess it's the lava rock. The lava rock is just going to be another "thing" the characters fight over for control of I guess this time would be "wealth" or the "mechanism". But what I'm most interested in has to be how Spin is going to be added to the story this time. We've seen Spin become a consistent thing to the Joestar bloodline from part 7 so Jodio and Dragona has to obtain it at some point.
JoJolands so far has been a great start to a new part, I have hope that it will become one of the best parts in the series. Jodio is honestly one of my new favorites in JoJo characters
Honestly i find all the stands so far pretty interesting, including how they changed Heaven's Door, now instead of having to pull out his stand to turn them into a book, he just has to touch them and they fall unconscious with the pages flipping, November rain is cool with rain with weight applied to them, The Hustle is still a little confusing to me, like how he can kinda absorb things into his flesh, but i'm just not 100% sure yet how it works. The wired cats are cool as hell, again not 100% sure how the power works, it just seems like the fur of the cat turns into steel wire that they can fully control.. Sorry that i'm not mentioning the other stands but i just don't know their names, sure all their powers are cool and they all have their time to shine so far.
Correction: Rohan didn't ONLY touch them, he touched them and then the ability activated with a delay, similiar to KQ's bombs. He also appeared to be unable to use his stand to turn them into books, only able to do it when he actually touched someone with his own hands.
I know this isn’t much related but… My secret theory (that i hope will happen) is that Jodio will find the Saint’s corpse that at the beginning of part 8 to defeat main villain get rich etc.
scaling jodio 😍😍: strength: human level durability: human level speed: idk (probably MFTL if we compare to rohan) AP/DC: small building (was stated to have a 3x4 meter AoE) IQ: above average hax: gravity manipulation (he can change the weight of his droplets, weight is just the force of gravity), soul manipulation, fluid manipulation, luck manipulation
I feel for a monthly release the storytelling isn't very packed. The latest chapter picked up the pace, but it took a year to get what even the conflict of the story even is, and we don't know much about the cast. It will surely be better on a re-read, but previous parts felt more straightforward in establishing what the group's goals are.
I like jojolands so far, my favourite character is Usagi, but others are cool too. And i hope Araki will give enough screen time to each of them. Also chapter 13 was amazing!
8:37 I find this idea genuinely hilarious. Araki sets up an entire JoJo part, does the first 10 or so chapters, sets up some really cool lore, and goes, yeah I like sand boy charmingman better. Here's my headcannon: Charmingman is a false name, and this is secretly Jojojojogiojojojojojo Joejoekuhigashigiojostarshikatastar, the most ultimate JoJo.
We need dp to get the anime going again we need part 7 part 8 and part 9 we’ll what’s out so far I especially want part 7 as it is one of my favourites part 5 my second favourite
The main cast just feels so cohesive to me right now, I love their interactions and their personalities. Not fully attached to CM yet but Usagi just makes me giggle with his dumb faces and little hair poking from his wet suit it’s just great can’t wait for the chapter today
We'll see. It's only on like chapter 14 at the time of me writing this (it was probably on like 11 or 12 at the time of this video), so things have only just started to take off. The Stands of the main group seem pretty situational and "weak" to me at this point to be honest, which means they'll probably get major boosts later in the story at some point.
I don't think they need a boost in power at all, they're all perfectly capable stands which all point clearly towards how this part will play out. The plot has been set up (as of chapter 14) to be very Man vs Society and to have any emphasis on stands designed to fight head on would make little sense cause you're not just going to beat up The Powers That Be into submission.
I feel like having an absolutely psychotic lead who wants to conquer the mechanisms of the world is the story we all want to read rn. The main cast being unapologetically criminal but also relatable and human adds a lot to the story. something is cooking.
So far the part still needs to cook a lot, i got used to small main groups like Johnny/Gyro and Josuke/Yasuho/Mamezuku, and it still costs me to care enough for this one aside of Jodio. My biggest issue is there's nothing that catches the interest so far, aside of the damn lava rock, and this may go through the same route as part 5, which means it may not have anything to complement parts 7 or 8 and could be more of a filler part. Also i'm still salty over not seeing any humanoid stands (aside of Heaven's Door), November Rain is cool but Soft & Wet still slaps him on every aspect🗿
I actually like the jojolands characters more than josuke/yasuho/mamezuku, since most part 8 characters kind of just stopped having personalities after the vitamin C arc
@@lucascaracas4781 Mamezuku started quite stoic and got a bit better as the story progressed, Josuke stopped being as goofy and fun as when he started but that's mostly because of how much happens, and Yasuho is a similar case. Now the Higashikata family, yeah aside of Jobin and Mitsuba they just kept existing after the Vitamin C arc, with a few moments here and there up until the ending when Hato finally had something to do.
Hey METAs, my friends and I were having a debate earlier. In your opinion who would win in a fight between part 3 Jotaro with no stand or part 1 dio with no vampiric abilities. Or basically just Jotaro and dio with straight hands. Thanks for reading have a good day
For the record, the Hawaiian Islands (or at least some of them) are populated by a large number of feral cats, so this is setting appropriate and not completely random.
I really like Araki exploring fate/luck vs unluck and how the Lava Rock seems to be a monkey's paw magnet of fortune, paralleling the Wall Eyes, which was a source of a curse, from where hope was eventually created in the form of Josuke's fusion birth. On the other hand, this has to be the wackest and lamest set of Jojo designs. Aside from Jodio and Dragona, I really dislike everyone else's designs. Too Araki-esque, in my opinon.
This is a question I had on my mind for quite a while, and it irks me to no end that I do not know the answer for certain. Could Wonder of U beat the Godhand from Berserk? Either you or Kaleb IA could answer this, and I don't know who to ask about it
you *SIT DOWN* when a new Jojolands releases I *SIT DOWN* when a new Metas or Kaleb vid drops seriously fuck with all the stuff you guys make, keep it up lad
he doesn't try to make relatable characters he tries to make characters that are more or less metaphors for things or situations in life you see no matter what continent you're from
I really think that jojolands still raw for jojo standards, it's excellent at least, interesting stands, characters and environment, but in my experience as a jojo reader, usually jojo parts start to get more centered on the main mystery or plot until the half of the manga so only the holy corpse knows how long will take to jojolands to finish I really beg araki to not take another decade to finish this part,
Still reading part 8 here, just watching the video as i don't mind spoilers that much but ngl...the more i read about this main cast (Jodio and co) the more i lose interest on them lmao. Idk, i'm just no really into evil protagonists, i really like Johnny and Giorno as they aren't human trash, but it just seems that Jodio is that human trash...he's even a psycopath lmao. But i'm certainly jumping to conclusions, even if i still don't feel like i will like him, i also feel i'm being too hasty so i will try to take it slow
I definitely enjoy Jodio so far, his relatable and non relatable aspects fuze really well for me. The stand feels very straight forward so he’d probably have to be WAY more creative than others. Dragona, Paco, and Charmingman are interesting to me. But the primary thing keeping me paying attention is the mechanism stuff, the lava rocks and how those connect to the Corpse/Fuits and equivalent exchange. I’m currently waiting to critique the series myself until I understand the entire story. Idk
i'm going to copy and paste something i said on my Tumblr and it's very hairbrained BUT here is my "theory" on who Jodio's a parrallel toward "so i'm thinking about Jojo Part9 and the current universe in general and i realized do we even know who Jodio's supposed be a parallel toward? like Jonathan to Johnny, Josuke to Gappy, and then there's Jodio. it's not Jolyne obviously and i don't see it being Giorno because he probably would have the name Jogio or something. thematically Jodio being Giorno makes sense because they're both criminals with a name that stems from Dio in some way (remove the second have of Giorno's name and replace the G with D and you get Dio and Jodio just has Dio in his name). and November Rain is kind of like Weather's stand with the overpowered rain so...is Jodio a parallel to Weather? because spoilers for Part6 the Green Baby gives Pucci and Weather (and later Emporio) the Joestar birthmark"
Instead of saying the time-frame why not state the chapter count. People really forget this is a once per month thing we're dealing with and the story literally just started. Not as bad as sellout xForts, but now I see why Hamon Beat is my preferred and only JoJo UA-camr
Honestly don't like that they're directly mentioning musicians because it makes me question if people are knowingly naming stands after music references.

@brotheranimations1848 it’s been enjoyable to me too. I was being sarcastic with my last comment
Jojolion had plenty of flaws. Steel ball fun though I can agree with
I love how Metas says “supposably” instead of “supposedly”.
Its such a shame because he wants to sound smart too. Poor fella
Quick theory idea:
"Blessings from the earth, Devil's palms, The Holy Corpse, etc." are all reoccurring things in this universe and are directly related/causality based to each other, all with the Corpse being the catalyst.

He's gonna become Griffith at the end of the Manga
Psychopaths lack any form of empathy, this makes them very self-centered and manipulative. They will "care" for other people if they see those people as his "property" or an extension of themselves, or if it is on their best interests to care for those people and treat them well. Jodio is likely the latter.
@@MagmaMKIIPsychopathy is a spectrum, meaning that not all psychopaths are the same. Some of them may have a certain level of empathy and care for some people, though it's a very tiny group of people.
@@lisboah oh yeah, I was gonna mention that in relation to the Griffith comment.
before i watch the video my response is
YES, I love part 9 so far
it definetely feels like a breath of fresh air compaired to jojolion since we got to read wonder of u for like 3 years straight its nice to go back to more simple stuff but this part definetely has room to develop
Jojolion just felt like wasted potential. It's the only part I actually dislike
im loving it so far, reading jojos monthly and thinking about how it might go for like 10 years of my life is so much fun. I only first watched jojo and became a jojo fan right near the end of part 8 coming out, and then I fell out of it and in 2022 I read part 7 and in 2023 read part 8, now im reading it weekly and will be for like a decade 💀 thats so cool
Nah, Araki is too old… I’d assume it won’t last longer than 5-6 more years
@@filipsamlik9338 then it'd be a lot shorter than jojolion which tbh im fine with. sbr length is perfect tho
@@bigmanontheinternet3824
I agree, a villian JoJo protagonist would be interesting but execution wise would need masterfully done. In comparison to the Villian antagonist, Villian protagonist would need likeable traits that would ender the viewers. Uphold to certain moral principles and individual he cares about.
@@supoa9489 So true!! We definitely gotta keep seeing how this whole part fleshes out. It'll be super exciting.
"First action is to get cash from Rohan"
Why does this sound so familiar?
Funny to hear that you were worried about the Joestar siblings not getting development before the most current chapter gave them SO much great development less than ten hours ago 😂

i cant believe its been one year since we learned araki watched breaking bad
Well at least 2 counterparts (well 3 for SBR) have stuck with the cast in the new universe
Johnny, Gyro, and Lucy
Josuke (Kira +Josephumi), and Yasuho
So unless Dragona or Charming Man are counterparts.

Charming Man feels like a Death Stranding name.
I love that JoDio has Dio in his name showcasing his Dio like personality he has.
Yeah and originally Dio was also driven by his motivation for wealth which got seconded by his hatred for jojo
Honestly it's way too on-the-nose. That and he's not even related to Diego/DIO. Jodio is just a way crappier version of Giorno.
Araki went full kojima with "Charmingman"
I wonder if Rohan being relatively untouched in this universe compared to the others where they had counterparts to the original universe such as Kira who's a serial killer in the original but part of the Joestars in this universe will be important later. Or it's just a case of Araki self inserting to give the plot device.
i find it funny how araki somehow made rohan into part 9, and honestly i hope he gets a mention again in future chapters
4 months after this I just want to say I'm so fucking excited to see how this continues, I already love Bobby Jean, Lulu, AND Howler! I cannot wait to see everything develop and how these silly characters grow
Charmingman also quickly stole the spot as my favourite character lmao
Araki is absolutely cooking, and even though I was admittedly a little bit bored during the Cat Size stuff, everything since has absolutely captivated me and I am genuinely SOO excited to see where it goes!
We've seen Spin become a consistent thing to the Joestar bloodline from part 7 so Jodio and Dragona has to obtain it at some point.
part 4 could have been a summer in everybodies life. i love it. ❤
JoJolands so far has been a great start to a new part, I have hope that it will become one of the best parts in the series. Jodio is honestly one of my new favorites in JoJo characters

Another METAs upload, another good day to be alive.
Its so hard reading monthly. I caught up to Jojo with Jojolion around the skilift fight, so ive never had to wait like this!!!
I know this isn’t much related but…
My secret theory (that i hope will happen) is that Jodio will find the Saint’s corpse that at the beginning of part 8 to defeat main villain get rich etc.
Definitely think so far it has the stronger start of the series
"I don't want to be here for 20 min"
*proceeds to upload a 20 min video*
scaling jodio 😍😍:
strength: human level
durability: human level
speed: idk (probably MFTL if we compare to rohan)
AP/DC: small building (was stated to have a 3x4 meter AoE)
IQ: above average
hax: gravity manipulation (he can change the weight of his droplets, weight is just the force of gravity), soul manipulation, fluid manipulation, luck manipulation
I feel for a monthly release the storytelling isn't very packed. The latest chapter picked up the pace, but it took a year to get what even the conflict of the story even is, and we don't know much about the cast. It will surely be better on a re-read, but previous parts felt more straightforward in establishing what the group's goals are.
because you probably binged previous parts
Pls upload weekly 🙏
18:25 : I see it as a artistic choice, where we can focus on what happend in the second plan.
My friend had a good theory on how jojo ends and it sounded very plausible
As for Rohan being there. There is a voice in my head:
"Stands attract other Stands"
Fun fact: in most hispanics countries "JoDio" means "Fucked up", that word comes from joder which its the closest word to Fuck on spanish
We need dp to get the anime going again we need part 7 part 8 and part 9 we’ll what’s out so far
I especially want part 7 as it is one of my favourites part 5 my second favourite
Rohan Kishibe is PEAK, favorite character from part 4 with my favorite stand ability. (Im only halfway through part 7 so my opinion may be invalid)
The main cast just feels so cohesive to me right now, I love their interactions and their personalities. Not fully attached to CM yet but Usagi just makes me giggle with his dumb faces and little hair poking from his wet suit it’s just great can’t wait for the chapter today
Seeing how Part 9 the counterpart to Part 5...and how long part 8 is.... we might get backstories from the side character soon.
Chapter 13 with the siblings, man, further establishing how great these protags are.
19:26 AYE AYE CAPTAIN! AM GONNA REREAD PART 7 AND READ 8 & 9 AYE AYE CAPT.❤❤❤
PEAK AF. Had me playing Stardust Crusaders on Spotify when old mate tried to drown him
I feel like having an absolutely psychotic lead who wants to conquer the mechanisms of the world is the story we all want to read rn.
Thanks for reading have a good day
Both in their prime btw *
@@Snoc_-hf3lb good fight. I'd say jotaro because he has insane durability feats

I like November Rain, but I really do hope it gets stronger later in the manga.
Part 3 and 5 were my favs. 👌🏻

Honestly I’m really enjoying Part 9, Jodio is so refreshing as a main character
I’ve been liking JOJOLANDS so far it’s hasnt been perfect but I really like it
I definitely enjoy Jodio so far, his relatable and non relatable aspects fuze really well for me. Idk
Character designs have gone insane at this point
i'm going to copy and paste something i said on my Tumblr and it's very hairbrained BUT here is my "theory" on who Jodio's a parrallel toward
"so i'm thinking about Jojo Part9 and the current universe in general and i realized do we even know who Jodio's supposed be a parallel toward?
like Jonathan to Johnny, Josuke to Gappy, and then there's Jodio. it's not Jolyne obviously and i don't see it being Giorno because he probably would have the name Jogio or something. thematically Jodio being Giorno makes sense because they're both criminals with a name that stems from Dio in some way (remove the second have of Giorno's name and replace the G with D and you get Dio and Jodio just has Dio in his name). and November Rain is kind of like Weather's stand with the overpowered rain so...is Jodio a parallel to Weather? because spoilers for Part6 the Green Baby gives Pucci and Weather (and later Emporio) the Joestar birthmark"
