I'm always scared of messing up, yes! but my love of seeing a complete sketchbook filled with my stuff is bigger than the fear, so that keeps me going. Even if you mess up, remember there're ways to cover it or change it or tweak it. Post it notes are great for that! Also, sketching with a pen and not a pencil is super helpful to build your confidence and it will eventually start showing through your lines :)!!

As soon as I saw you had uploaded a sketchbook tour, I couldn't wait to watch on my computer! 🤩 I love your style and color choices/experimentations, they are so fun and vibrant! I really like your tip about pasting sketchbook pages together if you used alcohol markers on one side, I will have to try. And what you said about the sketchbook being for playing with different styles for fun-- that is something I try to keep in mind, but being a perfectionist its also a struggle for me because I want the page to turn out "finished" if that makes sense. 😅

Just know that a sketchbook it's a sketchbook. You can mess it up however you want. Or buy a cheap one, so you lose the fear
