This is a legit question, because I'm still struggling with the mentality of art; why is it that you don't feel ashamed?

@@MikeMozzaro well honestly, I kinda feel it in both ways, in one way I don't feel ashamed because there's always room for improvement, in the other, I also feel like a disappointment. I have only very recently gotten into digital art, however i do have a few years of experience with doing pixel art. Pixel art taught me a lot about colors - in a medium with so much restriction, a good pallete is an essential part of getting your ideas across.
The biggest thing about colors which i learned, and what i would consider an essential tip for any artist, is hueshifting. When shading, dont just change the saturation and brightness, but make sure to change the hue as well. Shifting lighter colors and highlights towards yellow, and darker colors and shadows towards purple, makes the lighting look a lot more natural and more pleasing to look at.

"You can't force art. It has to come naturally, when you feel like it"
That... that brings me to tears 🥹

4:26 if you’re on ipad or iphone you can go to accessibility shortcuts in settings and add colour filters, then go to colour filters and make it grayscale. now if you triple click the home button (on later iphones its the side or top button) then your screen goes grayscale! i find it way easier to just triple click and check the colour values

I found your video to be really helpful. I used to draw as a kid but stopped as I got older. I’ve picked it up here and there but have stopped again due to life or not knowing where to start regarding art lessons for improvement. Your video helped me to feel more comfortable drawing again and I appreciate you sharing some of the techniques you use like references, mirrors, and figuring out where to shade 💚

I've heard of this flipping canvas thing for a while, and I've never understood it, you're the only person to actually explain it. Thank you.

literally never knew WHY people flipped the canvas and i never felt like i needed to but having it explained why made sense and was very useful! i have been trying to flip it and still sort of struggle to see the differences but i found it useful for drawing the other eye though
but thank you on this! i think seeing a rendering tutorial would be really useful and great especially with your amazing art style! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
