Absolutely. Just to add on to that, the salt is not an antiseptic, its there to make sure the osmolality is similar between the liquid and your sinuses. Unlike the salt, xylitol does actually have antiseptic properties, although its effectiveness in the sinuses is not confirmed.

Here in Japan my friends and family have used the closet shirt space saver for literally decades. It's pretty much a must have considering how small our houses are.
11:07 I guess another thing is for college students who don't have stoves or a kitchen in their dorms. This could help cook food easily without having to go find a kitchen to do it.
13:45 aquarium owners have used those for decades :) as for the banana machine, it's much easier without - with the banana still in the peel score it all the way down, spread it open and fill with peanut butter, Nutella, Cheez Whiz, etc; then peel it. Also that gadget wastes perfectly good banana
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme wouldn't it be easier just to get one table knife, cut the banana, spread in a bit of stuuf, and then peel and eat; basically the same as celery and CheezWhiz? tomatoes tomahtoes.
Hi Mrwhosetheboss, we wanted to provide you feedback on your review of the Lazychef Pot. You gave this a 3/10 which is understandable from your perspective but we used to tour with Disney On Ice and lived in a hotel for 10 months a year. This pot would have been perfect mind you that we would not have used this on our bed or lap! That’s just ridiculous, but having 1 item that both heats and serves as a pot would have been amazing for our hotel stays. It was always a pain carrying the heating element and the pot around in our luggage!
20:45, I've seen that before on infomercials, it's basically an unofficial disability aid for people who have Parkinsons or who have had a stroke or have some other disability that impacts their ability to grip things. There's lots of products like that. Any time you see a product that does something this simple and wonder "who on earth needs that?", remember that there are people who are less able than you are.
Devices like the veggie slicer shown at 8:17 seem fairly common in Japan. We have one at home called the Bunbun Chopper - it's essentially the same thing. Nice to see Arun's reaction to this!
@9:30 When using a nasal irrigation system (neti pot, other versions, etc.) make sure to use distilled water or boil the water you are going to use and allow it to cool down to a comfortable temperature first. There are some amoeba that can survive the water treatment process and will cause very bad problems if it starts to live in your nasal passages.
Love how you always make sure to test things out (not based on hypothesis or anecdotal basis), present in a very entertaining, concise yet still plenty informative manner. I wish you all the best with the sub situation with Apple and happy to be on board with your endeavors! :)
Make sure you use cooled boiled water for the nasal system next time Arun, this will prevent infection from any bacteria in the tap water, it is very dangerous to do otherwise.
@@loganlyons1634 No joke. There is a type of amoeba that survives in tap water and then can get to your brain. Most amoeba types are harmless, but not every one, alas.
That pot is actually very good if you're travelling. I've got one that can boil water (I don't trust hotel Kettle), cook, steamboat, etc. If you travel alone the portion size is perfect too.
woudlnt it make more sense to just buy locally a bit of vinegar, boil it in the hotel kettle to clean it and you are good to go instead of carring this thing with you :D
20:30 there's also a much simpler solution to this: a spring that clicks on the hinge. I have them in my house, they work great and you barely notice them
The AAA to AA battery adapters are overkill. For years I’ve just wadded up a small piece of aluminum foil at the springy end of the battery compartment and it’s always worked. Also not a waste of plastic 😊
I think you mean Naegleria fowleri, Naegleria fowleri is found in warm or hot water that is unclean or lake water and even if there is a risk it is very minimal.

Also, those magnetic two side window cleaners or whatever they're cold, I remember my uncle having one in his fish tank ages ago, I guess they wanted to make it bigger and the banana filler, change bananas for churros or hotdogs with cheese
4:28 No. I does not suck out air and create a vacuum. It does the opposite. Fizzy drinks go flat because you remove the pressure when you open it, and the more you drink, the more space for the fizz to escape before the pressure builds up high enough to stop the reaction from happening. With this device you can pump more air in and create the pressure faster than the fizz can do it on its own, thus stopping it from using up the fizz to pressurize and ending up with a flat drink.
The pressure that is removed when opening is the carbon dioxide used to make the drinks fizzy in the first place. When the can is left open it give the opportunity for the carbon dioxide to escape. The same thing happens with bottled soda. If you do not close it correctly, the carbon dioxide will escape and make it flat. A SodaStream can help flat drinks become fizzy cause it injects the carbon dioxide into the water thats used to make sodas or carbonated water.
@@GrimRaider666 that is why those pump things don’t remove air, they add, and build pressure, to stop the co2 from escaping. Again, what I said in my initial comment.
It doesnt add air thats the thing. It actually does remove it. I have one and have put it to my hand, It has a suction meaning the air is removed preventing the carbon dioxide to reside in the drink instead of escaping with the air when the cap is not on. If air was being built up in the can, itd be harder to squish the can when putting it away. You dont need air to maintain carbon dioxide within a can. You just need a proper seal. which the cap provides. @@BuzzBazzJ
@@GrimRaider666 no. If you push it to you hand it pushes the air out of the way, and thus creates the suction you are talking about. When you place them on a container the seal is correct (compared to your hand) and thus it can pump more air in correctly. What you are referring to can be done with a bicycle pump, and you can “create” suction, because the seal is incorrect and as it has some flex/molding you end up “filling” the hole with your squishy hand flesh. If you took the air out you would create a negative pressure inside the container and it would collapse if the force is too great for the container to handle. The problem with removing the air is that you are extracting more of the carbonation making the drink even flatter than before. I swear, you can do this example very easy. Take a new soda bottle, empty some of it, then squeeze it until there is almost no more air in the bottle, then close the cap as you have it squished. You can let the bottle be or you can shake it to see that the carbonation will expand the bottle back to its original, full state. Proving my point in how these pumps function. Just try it before you post anything else. I’ll even pay you for the soda thought paypal if I’m wrong.
9:29 In ayurveda this practice is called Jal-Neti, and it is used to clear out your block nose. Traditionally, it is performed by pouring salt-water solution into one of the nostrils using a container with a small orifice for water to pass into the nostrills (using a conch or a cup with a small tube to pour out water from), and allowing water to pass out from other nostrills. One key point to remember while doing jal-neti is to breathe from your mouth to prevent water from going in the lungs from the nose.

We have one of these too in Canada it works well

Yeah perfect for people that cant chop.

I have one in the Netherlands as well, i thought it was a standard appliance
@9:30 When using a nasal irrigation system (neti pot, other versions, etc.) make sure to use distilled water or boil the water you are going to use and allow it to cool down to a comfortable temperature first. There are some amoeba that can survive the water treatment process and will cause very bad problems if it starts to live in your nasal passages.
Came on here to say this too!
Naegleria fowleri is the amoeba. It’s caused at least two deaths from tap water in a Neti pot. Definitely use distilled or boiled water!
“very bad” i.e. death
the fizz preserver doesn't create a vacuum it pushes in pressure to stop more co2 leaving
Love how you always make sure to test things out (not based on hypothesis or anecdotal basis), present in a very entertaining, concise yet still plenty informative manner.
I wish you all the best with the sub situation with Apple and happy to be on board with your endeavors! :)
15:14 Am I the only one who cracked up with the way he said "Think Innocent things" 😂😂😂
The can bulb doesn't draw air out. It pressurizes the can so the carbonation stays in the liquid
Make sure you use cooled boiled water for the nasal system next time Arun, this will prevent infection from any bacteria in the tap water, it is very dangerous to do otherwise.
🎉
This is very serious. Like you could die serious!

You could get spring hinges for 10× less money than the door closer
20:30 there's also a much simpler solution to this: a spring that clicks on the hinge. I have them in my house, they work great and you barely notice them
The AAA to AA battery adapters are overkill. For years I’ve just wadded up a small piece of aluminum foil at the springy end of the battery compartment and it’s always worked. Also not a waste of plastic 😊
Uhhhh... What
@@Emma-ex8gx Jup, and u can just wrap some thin cardboard around it with some tape and it also doesnt wiggle
That feels like a fire hazard, also, those AA to AAA adapters are reusable
Yeaaaah, that's a gigantic fire hazard. Hope you're kidding
You can make AAA to AA by filling the gap with a foil
the question for almost all these products: how long do they work?
PSA: use distilled water when shooting water up your nose. People have died from brain eating amoebas in tap water.
I think you mean Naegleria fowleri, Naegleria fowleri is found in warm or hot water that is unclean or lake water and even if there is a risk it is very minimal.
When I was a kid I used to use tin foil on my AAA batteries so it would properly fit and that idea of the case is just genius.
2:22 Arun the science guy!
I think the self heating pot has better use for campers (given they have a mobile power supply unit) or people living on the road in small vehicles.

I was thinking the same thing. Creating a vacuum in the can would cause all the carbon dioxide to come out of solution.
So we are just gonna ignore the video at 13:05? Unbelievable. That baby is cool. 😎😎😎😎😎
1:50 if you spray the fluid on the cloth it wont leave a mess🙂 love your videos
9:29 In ayurveda this practice is called Jal-Neti, and it is used to clear out your block nose. Traditionally, it is performed by pouring salt-water solution into one of the nostrils using a container with a small orifice for water to pass into the nostrills (using a conch or a cup with a small tube to pour out water from), and allowing water to pass out from other nostrills. One key point to remember while doing jal-neti is to breathe from your mouth to prevent water from going in the lungs from the nose.
