- In this video we hook up the wire that we trenched underground and complete the electrical installation so we can have light and power in our backyard pavilion.

You're brave for posting these videos, but I appreciate it. It helps when planning my own projects.
Thanks, it can be frustrating at times with some of the comments but I hope it can help people.
Thanks I'm going to be using 12/2 romex underground in pvc for some outlets and go to 14/3 for the ceiling fan in the middle.
Just build a Costco pavilion and found the perfect video to see how to run conduit and wiring. Thanks !
Conduit run underground is considered a wet location.12/2 Romex Type NMB is not approved for wet locations. UF cable or THHN/THWN wire is permitted in wet locations
24:45 Those wire connectors (Wagos) are reusable. To remove the wires, pull gently on the wire while making a "cranking" motion. It definitely works better with solid wire, though.
Great job on the install!
The Wago connectors we have at work have an orange lever that you can release and re use. They are really handy, especially if you have to doe something hot.
I have a pignose plug outside…can I run power off that?
Dad: “Cooper”
Cooper: “…yea Dad…”
Dad: “whaddya doin?”
Cooper: “keeping you from hurting yourself…duh Dad…”
I wouldn’t of put spacers, I would’ve ran it flat and then place pipe near fire for 2 minutes or heat with heat gun if you have one and gave it and offset, looks much cleaner
I think if you use Weggo wire connectors you don’t even have to cut the wire.
That is a very decent job.
I use them at work sometimes. You are right I would imagine that the blade in there would cut right through the insulation.
What's the distance between the posts?
On the narrow end it is 10 feet 8 inches to the inside. The long side is a little over 15 feet. I was straddling a 10 x 15 paver patio.
You don't have to use offset boards you can use a heat gun to worm your PVC and bend it. it looks much nicer.
I did it that way so it would clear the rim board at the top and allow the pull elbow to fit better.
Why use a justion box ? Could of ya not just wired it directly into the main inside the house ?
I used a junction box so I convert to Romex style wire and not have to run conduit to the breaker panel since there was another 25 feet or so to the breaker panel plus a few turns to get there.
Why not just make two offsets?
Is it me or are you bugging #12 wire onto #6 or did you oversize the wire for voltage drop? I see it was put on 20 Amp breaker, which makes total sense
I oversized the wire for the long run and in case I needed more capacity in the future.
No offense on your workmanship but a single solid piece of decking board running from bottom to top would have looked alot better. Just my opinion.🤷♂️
I had considered doing that but a: I did not have a piece long enough on hand and, b: i did not want to make one of the pavilion legs look thicker than the others. I was hoping the conduit would sort of disappear.
