I can do basic wiring but never worked with conduit. Instead of bending to get the offset coming out of the box why not have a conduit clamp with the appropriate spacing?

You could definitely use offset clamps and factory 90s to do this. Personally I prefer the look of the conduit flush against the wood instead of having a gap.

Is there a reason why you didn't cut the pipe and tee it off to a new run?

Very good observation. Honestly, I had planned on using a PVC T to run from the outlet box controlling the fans to the bug zapper outlet but at the time supplies were hard to come by and I had to go to 2 home depot just to get the PVS LBs and boxes that I needed.

Personally I think it looks cleaner, plus less bell connections make the wire easier to pull.
