When youre at that window running your mouth--be sure the judge is very close by.

      The same thing applies to law enforcement if they stop you for a traffic violation. The last time that I was pulled I was speeding 10 over the posted limit and I knew I was. I was about three miles from the closest convenience store and my bladder was about to explode so I was in a hurry to get there. I laughed with the state trooper about my plight and he wrote me a ticket and I went home. I decided to show up in court to try to have the 10 over charge reduced to improper equipment so it would not affect my insurance rates. I didn’t know if but the HP officer wrote a note on my ticket saying that I was extremely cooperative and suggested a reduction in the charge would be acceptable to him. Judge changed the charges to improper equipment and I paid court costs and left.
      Bottom line is that it doesn’t cost a dime to be nice and respectful to those who are required to enforce the laws. If you believe that you have been wrongly accused/charged then court is where you can win. Nobody has ever won a case beside the highway.

      The attorney did that. And I can tell you from experience, when you have a client that has nothing going for him and you can't truly find anything redeeming to present to the judge on his behalf, you'll pull just about anything out of your azz to help your client. That's the type of attorney you want representing you.
      The attorney knows it's bs, the attorney knows the judge knows it's bs and the judge knows the attorney knows it's bs. You're just giving the judge something to hang his hat on if he's inclined to do so, especially if the judge respects the attorney. There are many underlying intricacies in court that lay people can't see or understand. That's why it's always best to have a lawyer.

      Attorney Danien Woodson represented Isiah Williams in the online court hearings, but I don't know if she continued to be his attorney after the Washtenaw County Probate Court declared Olisa dead in 2023.

    • @johnharling5246
      @johnharling5246 Рік тому

      @@nowasiwassaying...1699 Yep that is the case.
      My point is that there would be every chance of Mr Williams escaping prosecution if he only could only control his erratic and manic behaviour.
      There are no witnesses and there is no body and it was 40 years ago.
      Any lawyer worth their salt would be able to put across an argument that no such crime happened.
      They would address the jury and ask
      "Would you be able to sleep at night sending someone to jail for the rest of their life based on no evidence ??"
      "How would you feel if in 10 years time the victim turned up???"
      They would then list numerous cases where innocent men and women have spent decades in prison for crimes they did not commit.
      I can think of half a dozen cases where defendants charged with a similar crime with more evidence against them who were acquitted people like Casey Anthony Zimmerman, O J Simpson etc etc
      In my experience there is always at least one Jury member who would be reluctant to put someone away for the rest of their life based just on circumstantial evidence.
      Fortunately Mr Williams bizarre behaviour will convince even the most sceptical juror beyond any reasonable doubt that he did commit the crime he is charged with and find him guilty.
      As I said his behaviour will convict him and that will be a just decision.
