The Stewart S-51 replica Mustang should be back in production by Fall 2021. It is a wee bit of a different airplane but the desire and allure of a replica P-51 Mustang remains. And it was designed around the Chevrolet V-8 engine from the start in the early 90’s with many of the original drawings scaled down.
What Mods if any? Speed wings? How much help did you have from TITAN during construction? Fast build kit? No fuselage gear doors? Dual electronic ignition? What other tweaks are incorporated? What indicated airspeed do you see at cruise such as the passes in the movie shown with second aircraft?

Hi great aircraft would love to build my own one day.. can I ask on choice of engine are you allowed to install the v8 or v12 car engine under UK rule as in some builds elsewhere around the globe.
My feeling is no matter how you look at it...you still have an experimental aircraft...and although it may not cost millions to run...it still requires a maintenance schedule similar to the full size P51. So it's not for every pilot that is for sure. It's got to be a big responsibility to take on an aircraft like this even if it is a replica.
Didn't sound like it was coming up to full power on take off.

My question? How come no new full size Mustangs...? I mean they have 600 hp v 8s ...with no Armour self sealing tanks...guns ..bomb shackles. Again ..why no full size MUSTANGS?
