I get a few requests like this. What people don't seem to understand is that the GoPro is a pretty crude instrument. If you were to simply leave the recorded 'noise', what you'd have would be mostly the roar of the wind, the whistle from the various parts of the airframe . Any remaining engine noise would not be authentic to the actual engine and each 5 second clip would be a nightmare to edit...as each Go pro mount location is affected differently. The net result is very irritating sound. Sadly.
Ben - just a suggestion, perhaps add in a formation low pass, down the runway, at high speed. Shoot the scene with a ground based camera, with good audio. And, to fix that rubber-bendy-prop-syndrome, how about adding an ND filter to your camera? That would really make a great video totally awesome! Again, only suggestions, my friend.
I Really Like That They Did The P-51B, As Its Shape Is Quite Unique, & The Original Form & Shape.! Glad You Did It, `Cuz It Looks Really Killer, & You Guys Did A Really Great Job On Both, & I Can't Even Imagine The The Feeling You Get Out Of Flying The Pair.! Sexy, & Genius As It Gets, & Thanks For Sharing.!
fantastic Ben , beautifully edited / constructed and the same goes for the video ! However I admit that if I ever do get to fly in your plane i will leave my testicles locked up in the gun cabinet . Joking apart I am very impressed .
My pleasure Grasshopper . Unlike you I am a very slow learner , but that still makes me a lot quicker than most people ( old chinese saying ). For example I cannot conceive of how one can make a plane as beautiful as yours . I get the propellor bit , but where do you attach the other end of the rubber band ?
One warm day Ben I would be really pleased if you could show me your plane and give me some rough idea how one constructs such a thing . Maybe in spring .
According to Moccas website this is a full scale replica, but a quick Google search tells me that this is 75% of the real thing. I just got confused though about the claims but still a very interesting project kinda one that I'm hoping to build too one day....
Hi Ernie....well If you are sure the Moccas Mustang website says that, I'd better put it right because it is definitely NOT. Yes 75% replica or thereabouts.
Must have been a wonderful time hopping around those clouds!!!!👍🇺🇸

On the all important Home Page, where the T51 is described, Ernie, I state that it is a 'scale replica,' . However I have clarified it some more.
