Rockvilles 800w 10” super slim (6.86cm/2.7in) is only $149.95 and it has its own built in amp. They’re a good company I’ve run them for a few years now.
The sound distorts through the mic so hard to hear what it sounds like but yeah you're right you'll definitely have a cleaner sound with bigger setups 💯🙌🏼
You can't just guess at an arbitrary number like 70%. It all depends on the source voltage level. Trial and error will determine where it needs to be set.
@@giggsl5011 Not so much quality, but signal strength. A gain knob is like a ratio adapter. If your signal going in is not strong, you can adjust the gain high and not have clipping. If you feed in a very strong signal you might need the gain turned way down.
Just no... you match your gain to the cleanest input signal. If your radio puts out 4V clean at max volume you set the gain to 4V if it puts out 2.65V at 60% volume you put it at 2.65V
@@taung9535Most of these units draw 15A-20A max at full volume. Most of the time the amp draw is way lower so no worries about needing electrical upgrades.
Thanks for this video You mentioned put the 50 Hz will that enhance the bass also someone said lower the gain to 70% is that will make it truly mild and clean when I up the volume!? I bought one called d class isudar good quality one since a year or so, it sounds good But i could know what the correct adjustment i should use with it 😢 I installed it correctly but the base controller light isn't lighting anymore since before what could it be wrong!? Sorry for making it long I wish you can help me out solving this issue Thanks 🙏
Hey matey. It comes down to your headunit. The amount of gain is the amount of bass you want your sub to take over. If it is at 70% it will only play that amount through the sub and the other 30% through car speakers. That will make it sound nice and clean but everyone has different taste of how much bass is enough 🤣
Would this be suitable for lwb ns 2008 If you remember my rockford don't work any more Also would it compatable with kenwood. DMX8520DABS Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Hey Robbie. Yes I remember. I reckon it will. Just have a look at the back of the headunit, there should be a sub input. Do that and then yeah you'll have a sub 💯
that fart sound is the sub distorting turn down the gain to 70% or untill it stops making that noise also the remote wire is +12v so I hope you added insolation to it so you dont get a short it looks bare in the video
You'll probably want the crossover set around 80hz low pass, not 50 for that sub. You'll definitely not want the phase set on 180*. Leave that to zero. At 180* it is out of phase with your other speakers and will not sound as good.
@@Mike.D.843The phase setting will be different in each installation. Thats why they make it easy to switch it. You have to try both and pick the one that sounds better. You also need to set the crossover by what sounds best. You can not rely on the markings by the knob.
This^ Phase changes where the sound wave starts because if your mains and your sub starts at the the same wave position, they cross (phase) each other out. Even the crossover depends on what main speakers you have and what your settings are. I usually prefer setting my sub to only handle 60hz and below so it's not so boomy.
"...720 peak power wattage..." Meanwhile, the built-in amp is pumping 50rms. "...and the phase to 180 degrees so the sound travels through the whole car nicely...." OMG! These UA-cam Hobby installer are GOLD! Can't stop laughing! Cheers!
Nice mate. It came with the product so will be fine. Bigger wires are suited for massive amplifiers and subwoofers like over 1000w. This one only 300@@kalisto1
@@kalisto1This Masten is probably drawing 15 or 20 amps at most and that is in musical surges. It probably averages out to 5 or 10 amps. You don't even need to go to the battery. These units will run fine off a cigarette lighter outlet since they are usually fused for 25 or 30 amp. If you want to know true current consumption get a DC clamp ammeter. It is not a high powered amp, but good enough.
You're listening to sound through a crappy mic hence why you can't hear the exact sound. The sound farts are because the bass is too much for the mic to handle so it distorts. In reality just clean bass no rattles🙂💯
