This was delightful and joyful to watch. Those fabric designs had me positively drooling! It was lovely to see the block nicely basted for us to see. Your quilt will be incredible once it’s finished.
I managed to snag the pattern bundle ( I might just have ordered the blenders). Also, I have made the Queens Ann Walk pattern worth the effort. Love your channel
I purchased the fat quarter bundle today as well! I have not yet picked a pattern yet but absolutely love what you are doing with it. The fussy cutting is spectacular with this fabric and your background is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Oooh, so exciting. It took me a while to pick out the pattern, but I'd been thinking about it for a few weeks 🤣 thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy your fabrics x
@@stitchwithrachel I just bought both collections today. The blenders are eucalyptus and olive branch (thin leave are olive). And the green bird was the second fabric you put down. I’ve saved the EPP quilt details and hope to buy both the papers and acrylic templates (the acrylic templates are out of stock currently).
Hi Rachel! Those fabrics are gorgeous, I've been admiring them online as well. I love the pattern you are using. That will make a lovely quilt. I sometimes use a lightbox for cutting and basting my EPP shapes. And you can always make a template from a cereal box, where you cut out the center shape, so you are left with a window. That's quite usefull, especially for those center pieces. Looking forward to see the progress!
Thank you for the idea! I am starting my second block today and I'll definitely make a template and maybe hold the fabric up to the window when fussy cutting the centre xx
Wow. The combination you used for your first star worked so well. Ive just started playing with fussy cutting. Sometimes there are too many options and i dont know where to start! I want to see how they all look all at once😂 i look forward to following the progress on this project 😁
Thank you Tina, I tried not to think about the fabric selection too much and just pulled the fabrics I like, but I think I will find it harder to select the fabrics when I've used my favourites x
Oh those fabrics are just beautiful aren’t they Rachel. I’ve been looking at them for a few days now. How about cutting the card pieces from the pattern from plastic/template plastic to make the placement easier for fussy cutting. That said, your placement looks pretty good to me.
Here’s an idea that might help with fussy during since you don’t have the acrylic piece would be to use a frixon pen and trace where you think is correct and if not you could erase the mark with an iron and try again before you cut them out. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for sharing this Rachel, I've bought The Queen's Walk pattern, such a lovely way to showcase these beautiful fabrics. You are missing a green fat quarter though, there should be five. Great video, really inspiring.
Hi Rachel, just found your channel - I'm in Suffolk and a long way from my home in the Midlands, so it was lovely to hear your voice! :) I've just bought the Tilda Hibernation pack - delivery tomorrow!! Thank you for the preview, I'm more excited than ever now. I started EPP last year and am already completely hooked. I've subscribed, and looking forward to seeing what else you make - so glad I've found your channel!
@@stitchwithrachel I do! Two cushions for new blue velvet chairs in my dining room. I thought the blues and pinks would be great. And then maybe a mini EPP star quilt... eventually :)

Love that fabric. How do you remove the paper once you are done the quilt since you are gluing it? I'm fairly new to EPP so wondering how that works when gluing - Thanks! Really enjoy watching your videos!
Thank you! Because you only use a small amount of glue and it's not super strong you can just run a crochet hook around the seams and it will unstick the glue, super easy but you can also iron the piece first and the heat will loosen the glue and use a hook or similar x
Is there a reason you don’t iron before you start cutting fabric? I’ve seen other people not press fabric before starting work and I can’t figure out why you’d work with creases.
Good morning, If I was going to use a section that was creased, I would iron it, but I'm not cutting all my pieces at once, just a few from the edges that weren't creased.
I ordered the templates for the Brick Quilt and am happy with them but they did not contain any pattern in them as far as the sizes, the design to lay them out, etc. please send me the pattern for them. I ordered both the Square and rectangle that you showed in your tutorial. Barbara
Hi Barbara, I am glad you have decided to make a quilt as you go project. However that is not my company so if anything is missing from your order you will need to contact the company you purchased from. If you are referring to my previous video making the rectangles, that is my own layout that I made for the video but there is no written information that goes alongside the video. Your fabric requirements will vary depending on how big you wish to make it.
I just got it as well. I am so happy I found your videos. What a light in the world you are 😊
Aww what a lovely thing to say, thank you! The fabric is gorgeous isn't it! I can't put this project down x
Beautiful fabric. It's going to make a lovely quilt. Thank you for sharing.
The fabrics are beautiful Rachel and the way you have used them in your first block really does make the centre and star 'pop'. xx
I’m another Tilda fan from Canada . Thanks for sharing your collection. 👍❤️🙂

Copy onto template plastic, then place on front to make fussy cutting easier. Lv Di.

Gorgeous! You did a great job on the fussy cutting. I love the block.

I wish that we had easy access to them here in the US. So hard to find Tilda fabrics here and I love them and her patterns.
Oh no! I never knew that, such a shame!

What a clever idea! Yes I can make a template from the paper pieces! 💡💡
This is a beautiful collection! Reminds me of William Morris. I'm so used to seeing wild colors from Tilda, this is more my style!
Yeah this has some lovely earthy colours in it, but also the blue and pink is an unusual combo but works so nicely x

That is a very good idea! Someone else suggested using the paper shapes to make my own templates with plastic, I like both of these ideas xx
Oh my goodness, so cute! Love them! Your quilt is going to be so cute and fun!
The animals are just the cutest! Thank you for watching xx
Bless you, exciting to get beautiful new fabrics! So lovely 😍💖
It was like Christmas morning! X
Omg that fabric is so beautiful. And it came out stunning
Thank you xx
Oh my goodness!!!-It's beautiful!!!!
This fabric is too beautiful to cut up into small pieces. If I were you, I would cut them into 5" or larger blocks and make a quilt❣❣❌⭕
Beautiful 👍Thanks for sharing
