Index cards are perfect for templates
Daisy and Grace seemed to be the only ones selling house shapes as I want to make a quilt with them. Very strange for such a simple shape. I now have two sizes. I hadn't thought I'd see them at the FOQ so had a look at their stall. Looking at a few UTube videos of people's visits I could swear I was at a different Show😂!! I had a day on Thursday and part of Saturday before I had to give up and get home as I'd toured a few sights of Coventry on the Friday and was so tired and had a train journey with two changes to manage with my luggage. Haven't been since before Lockdown so knew what to expect but enjoyed myself seeing old friends and beautiful quilts.
I have considered their house shape aswell, are you going to leave it as a house shape or make it into a plus quilt style? They were in a strange position at the FOQ, they were facing the back wall so easy to miss. Sounds like you had a tiring weekend but so worth it!
Hello Rachel, I would be interested to see a tutorial on the Daisy and Grace templates too. I'm presently working with one of her hexi templates, but it would be interesting to see how some of the different shapes are worked.

Hi Rachel! You’re working on lovely projects! Can’t wait to see your finished pumpkin, really clever to make it come to life with the 3D effect. It was also really nice to see your purchases from Festival of Quilts. I hope to be there next year! We have a similar festival here in the Netherlands but I think the UK one is bigger and has more nice stuff like Liberty fabrics! Hope you have a good weekend! Gwen

Hi Rachel, I try my socks on when I think it is long enough and begin to decrease for the toes when the sock reaches the beginning of my little toe. Thank you for showing us what you bought. Lots of lovely projects 😍
Thats a good tip to try them on, I did try them once but I was mainly concerned with the sock width. Thank you.

Loved seeing all of your purchases. I have ordered Eli elephant and also the flat cap pattern from Lilly Rose. I'm really looking forward to getting that. There are so many others I wanted, but Eli was the one who initially caught my eye from your FoQ video, so I had to have him first 😂 I have lots of the Daisy & Grace templates too. They are really good. I haven't got the rectangle one yet. Congratulations on your beautiful pumpkin pattern, I'm sure you will do very well with that. See you next time ❤
Thank you! I absolutely loved eli too, you'll have to let me know how you get on! Hopefully it will come soon, the lady did say that it will take her a week or so to get herself sorted after the show as I enquired about ordering online too x
I would love to see a tutorial on the quilt as you go Rachel. I do have Daisy and Grace stuff and they are such great quality but I have the more ‘shaped’ templates and i think yours would be less wasteful on fabric maybe??!! And the ones you’ve done so far look so darn effective!! I’ve been following your sock journey too and up to now have resisted the urge to have a go but….its niggling at the back of my head, I want to try them but it all sounds like a foreign language to me😂
Join the sock gang! I watched simply in stitches tutorials and she made it so easy with step by steps. I will do a process video next week for the QAYG, yeah its definitely nice and efficient on fabric, especially important with tilda fabric because I tend to hoard that!
@@stitchwithrachel the templates are in my basket waiting for the tutorial! I’ll have a look for the sock tutorial….will I succumb….well there’s a new craft shop opening nearby and I should really do all I can to support it shouldn’t I😆
@elizabethsmyth8057 absolutely and I've heard that sock yarn doesn't count towards regular yarn stash!

You can purchase both of these templates on the daisy and grace website. You will need to go to the quilting templates section and tab through the multiple pages of products to find them both. Happy stitching.

It's very addictive once you start, so much fun. The fiskars pinch is 1 inch and they sell it the XL punch x
