I've seen and done this challenge on TikTok so I thought I'd bring it to UA-cam too!
I have Tourettes Syndrome, and I can't control what I say (I don't choose what my tics are, they're completely involuntary).

I have very, very easily triggered tics but still decided to watch this video (I had my cousin for back-up just in case) And believe me, my vocal tics have never been so crazy 😭

A person I have just started seeing has Tourette’s+ and I am autistic with echolalia/ echopraxia so us learning one another and ways that our conditions intersect has been a really good experience for both of us. So I’ll hear something or see something and repeat it, and his ticks will occasionally respond and then my brain’ll find something it likes and’ll repeat it, and honestly it’s just been a very beautiful journey ♥️♥️
I think you popped up in my algorithm because we’ve been doing research and understanding of one another- but I really appreciate the ways you communicate ♥️

the video was great and your own reaction to the ticks was brilliant. it showed you can have fun with it which is great because you cant control it but have learned to deal with. These videos helps people to laugh but the awareness it brings to people about tourettes and the random behaviour that cant be helped is awesome. To mw you are a star!!!!

You are awesome. You have such a good spirit about this whole thing. It is actually really interesting to me but it's almost like a different part of you comes out and decides to speak. I don't think I understood completely everything about tourettes but you have made me see quite a bit. I really like you have such a good spirit about it all. I have absolutely no idea why the algorithm decided to put this at the very top of my timeline (I don't have Tourettes, I never looked up content about Tourettes), but this was insanely funny, so thank you. I have a question, since you have no control over your tics do you know when they coming? Also does it feel like you can’t stop it because when you have some tics it looks like you are trying not to tic. like one of those impulse reflexes. Anyways loved the video! Also you are absolutely stunning!
Hi! I have tics but I am waiting for a diagnoses in a few months. Before you tic, you might feel like an urge. An example for vocal tics could be that you might feel like you need to yawn and if you're suppressing or holding those back it might be like you're holding back the yawn and it can be very uncomfortable.
For motor tics it could be like how you feel the urge to scratch an itch. And if you suppress it could be like you aren't scratching that itch which can be uncomfortable as well. And sometimes you can feel your tics "build up" like if you need to sneeze or something.
