I am simply in awe. Certainly you can't live every moment as cheerfully and positively as you do in your videos, but the strength and courage with which you publicly embrace your disabilities are absolutely inspirational. The value of these videos for communicating awareness not only of Tourettes but other disabilities is simply incalculable. I'm delighted to have discovered your channel.
I'm gonna be honest, I've never personally met anyone with Tourettes or tics. But watching you and other UA-camrs with this condition is fun to watch. I get to see what it's like and what to expect when I do meet someone like this, and I just think it's really sweet. It's something you can't control but I think it's sweet. I don't think it's bad or weird. Everyone goes through various things in their lives, but you have to endure a condition that makes it constantly hard to focus. I don't think it's bad. I think it's really sweet.
This reminds me of a group project my friends and I had to do for my French class. We were told to make a dish/dessert from France and my group chose macarons. One of my friends in the group had tics similar to yours that day (we will call her Terry) and let me say, batter and filling flew. We had started one batch of batter and we were about halfway through with making it when that friend picked up the bowl and threw it on the floor. (luckily it was plastic so it didn't break) We all froze and stood there in shock, including Terry, and then just laughed so hard our stomachs hurt! We made a second batch and it came out successful but thinking back to that moment I can't stop laughing about it.
Tip for unlocking hands is to pull the pinky. It is one of the weakest fingers so it is the easiest to release then the rest can follow, sometimes with a bit extra force. Disclaimer: I have never met someone with Tourette’s nor do i have it. I just learn these kinds of things from my dad. Not entirely sure if it works for people with Tourette’s and FND.
Its really fun to see someone else experience my condition cause they know like how i feel and how to deal with it!! Btw thx Zara for tricks you gave out to control it! Appreciate it!! :D
You have such a good attitude, no matter what. Ruby is a great friend who understands your condition and loves to work with you. A great friend to have.
Omg I love u and ur vids gurl keep it up. Also u did so well with the knife and not stabbing urself bc if I had tics I would’ve been dead with that knife in my hand bye have a great day ❤ u
it's interesting how the apparent shock of chucking egg onto yourself calmed the tics. Thanks for these videos though, you're really an inspiration with the way you handle your circumstances.

Hey! Just been coming across your videos lately. If you've already answered what I ask in a video you can just direct me there! I'm curious when you feel the tics coming on as well as when you're expressing a tic, how does it feel in your body? And your thoughts IN the moment/expression/action of the tic, are you present in your mind during that moment? Do you have thoughts during/preluding the tic? Are the thoughts related to the tic or do they differ? Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Watching this made me think of one thing: Zara, can you dance? Because, I've had a girlfriend who had stuttering issue, and she told me that there is a special technique to counter that, and that was by speaking in a certain manner, as if you sing or read a poem, and this somehow helps to bypass that "bug" in the nervous systemthat makes you stutter. So she could sing, but had problems with talking normally. So I wonder if it works in the similar way with body twitching ticks. Will the ticks still occur if you will dance (for quite a while) or, I dunno, swim? Run? In other words - doing something in a specific manner while being highly concentrated on doing it in a specific manner (or algorythm, if you will). Will teh ticks still occur and interrupt that algorythm, or will your body "run that script" properly, and only "glitch" when there's no specific "program to run" (sorry, I'm a "computer guy" so I see living organisms as "organic machines" an nervous system is, in a way, an electric circuit with line nerves being wires and the breain being the CPU or something, so those ticks are like software bugs and glitches or hardware malfunctions in the system). Another thing, btw, is that my girlfriend coould talk normally when she was angry. And, as far as I've learned, being relaxed or playful (or anxious) is increasing the ticks, but how does being angry affect them?

dystonic limb locking can be a symptom of FND, also PANS/PANDAS or you can have similar locking tics with tic disorders or Tourette’s too :)

do Tourette’s sometimes hurt? (Sorry if it’s offensive)
By what I was seen yes they are they can also cause bruises and injuries
Yes, and this is not offensive. Sometimes people with Tourettes smack themselves, or seriously hurt a bone. Hope this helped
Yes, some tics do. There are harmless ones, but a couple of my tics hurt me, such as jerking my head or hitting myself.
You know… i actuali love your tics they arnt Weerd or something they are Cute and sometime they are very Funny 😂❤
