Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Hi Jay, I'm sure you're aware anyway. Greggs do their own re-usable coffee cup. Grab yourself one of those mate. Had mine ages. I think also they knock a few pance off the price if you take it back in for a refill. Cheers mate, stay safe. Norm.

We have some old 40ft tandem trailers for internal shunting they catch out a lot of drivers when reversing

NO trucking for me ATM . Old enemy back pain , mobilty standing , walking issues , resurface . WAITING for MRSI , SCAN . & 59 now Thats what 33 yrs HGV/ LGV driving does for you lol.

Great video jay i delivey barrel's of oil in my job and that thing is a bit difficult to reverse sometimes lol did send you a picture to your messenger mate
problem with towing caravans is you are towing a fairly heavy ..dolly (essentially) from the back of a vehicle that's realistically designed to tow anything. making both the weight and turning point very inconvenient. that 5th wheels makes a world of difference to handling and centre of gravity..
the other problem with towing caravans is you can just pass ya licence get to the point where you have lost the plot enough to think a caravan is in anyway a good or fun idea, and go off and tow one.... no legal requirement to get training or any certification to make sure you can do so safely.
unless ya in the states... they can get pickup trucks that have a 5th wheel.
Can you add cameras on any truck or do you need permission? I was thinking that the rear camera would be a great idea to have that extra visibility for when I (hopefully) start HGV driving. Thanks
Permission from who? .. some trailers have internal cameras i suppose you could leave your back door open on the reefer for a different view 😂
I don't know what you thought you delivered with those small bore pipe bundles ..... think large about Nuclear fuel rod assemblies aka MOX fuel cell for reactors. Their are the right size shape etc... just some welding & spacing plates to be welded on & bingo you got .....new.

Jay ma man... info pls 🙏 just found you and gone back to your beginnings 😊 watched Video3 C2 multidrop lol which is where I'm at 😮 in your hindsight wisdom can you clarify is C1 longer hours, greater distance but less physically demanding that C2? Got a wee C1 trial next week and can't decide whether it's worth the upgrade. TIA

yes its free no duty free though.
Sorry jay but reversing a trailer behind a car is a lot harder than HGV class one I think you should have a go at it before giving car drivers a bad name but there is a lot of crap car drivers that put trailers over the speed limit I do 55 or 60 but I love to tow a trailer in the rain keeps the tyres cold lol so don't push car drivers with a trailer behind them mate
