As a long retired trucker I really enjoy your videos. they bring back all the joys of life on the road but also all the frustrations and stress which just about convince me I'm glad to be retired!
Multi drop is a pain, I used to do multi drop in Europe, tramping around, mainly with my Renault Magnum , manual transmission, Reefer trailer. No GPS , just maps and no mobile phones, just bliss.
Finally got to meet Jenko on Sunday despite knowing him for 5 years and him living just 3 miles away from me, what a great bloke, I also met Nessa too what. Lovely lady, Was a great morning was well worth the drive up to Llandovery. My Staffy and Nessa got on like house on fire lol.
Brilliant loved the visit to Manchester Train care Centre , my company use to clean the Virgin Trains there about 25 years ago brought back some memories
Another great video mate. Saw you on Wednesday in Gateshead passing team valley trading estate stuck in them lovely road works. Give u flash n wave but you not see me. Looking forward to next one mate.
That another trip today(14th July2023) to Scotland when I spoke to you at charnock richard then seen you parked at the pumps at todhill outside Carlisle
I guess you were told to put your Hi viz on (12:50-13:15 ) 🤣. Used to deliver kitchens and hadn't a clue what the part numbers mean't as they didn't correspond to the paperwork . Just hoped it was loaded right !
HI Jay, you were following the guy from ''Mainline''. . . that company was the love child of a guy named Ron Atkin, who sadly passed away last year . . Put his life into building the company. . Take care .
8:50 there are few difficult places where I deliver and need to reverse from busy street. Always makes my day when somebody around says well done or something
Kirkham trains depo 👍🏻 have a delived there may times over the years and it's a busy place too. Love the vlogs I've been watching them for the last 6/7 years since your class 2 beginning. I am now a class 1 driver my self finally and I love it❤. I'm working my way up to tramping so I'm going to need some tips & tricks 👍🏻. Keep up the great work safe journey 👍🏻
thats some milestone there m8 makeing a drop at whifflet b&q and making it out with the tyres still on your truck lol even the trains go through there at 60mph
love seeing you in the hood and not understanding a word haha not sure if you showed all drops but some of them could ave been in a better order but i know as well all about drop off times
The one place you would expect a site induction lecture would be here! Beware were you are when strapping etc. That coy you were delivering to should certainly of had CB aerials on their checklist! At level crossings, the clearance height is 5.6m for loads; For a CB aerial, I am not a fizzist, but I would certainly rein it in long before that! Hah-hah! Brill vlog!
Multi drop is nightmare small van ,LGV its always the same you need eyes in the back of your head. When errors occur it helps if someone in charge has been in your position rather than some jumped up pen pusher. The collection from the railway yard was downright dangerous there was was insufficient roadway around the tracks. Regards Crawford
Great vlog Jay. The scottish accent can be a nightmare but its a nice drive up with great scenery. Part of y wifes family are from up there. Question for you, how do you find the manual truck a d do you prefer autos?
HI mate just a one question to see if you can help me with if i start wort at 1600 hour and i finish at 3am and i start again sane day at 1600 hour because i tired and it just continue form the time i last shift

Best of luck and keep it safe 👍🇮🇪
4am then 10 hours, bloody lucky, drivers shift is a shift , time doesn't matter ,long as you had correct rest period, every day is game for an hgv driver, long as you follow the correct rest periods and all the bacon sandwiches, 🤔

Hi Jay, Saw you at the Devon show, although, as much as I admire your work, I would have been, perhaps just another fan. I used to be a class1 driver, mainly in the South West, but retired nearly 2pm years ago, I thought then there were to many regulations etc, but my bug bear was the traffic congestion. Great channel and content, well done. Derek

Great vlog Jay thanks. Love the drivers in Glasgow, second only to London imo 😂
Mainline used to drive for them neachells lane willenhall westmidlands
I’m a train driver,we treat overhead lines as live at all times, and don’t get closer than ten feet
The video description was superb! Could mistake it for a stobart documentary 😂
Hard work to understand the B-road Scottish lol you was like o ok lol
Defo it twists my tits when people don't indicate. There obviously an optional extra to them. Grrrrr!!! Lol
'Norn Iron' as its pronounced ...gods wee country

Think driver would be glad to get out of Manchester
Just another trucking day ehh.👍
Hi Jay. Does your truck have a manual gearbox? Really enjoying the videos!
good the drops are close togerher
thank god I didnt apply for Mainline haulage, I heard on the grapew vine the wheelbarrows are a nightmare and are hand ball
18:37 lane 3 overtake? is that a legal thing in Scotland!?
The Scotts have a phrase for this something like get tae fook numpty as a welcome to Scotland english person
first thing I do with satnavs is turn the voice off
and me
Not sure how they let you onto a running line with 25,000 AC volts running above.
There no rush There I've sat there for 2 hours 😂😂
Manchester, nope never heard of the place 😂😂
It's the banksman's responsibility to ensure that your vehicle doesn't collide with anything right? That would include your CB ariel.
@@DesStewart There should also be clear signage for overhead live powerlines.
Let's go donkey did you get your parking ticket sorted, was the railway depot Derby?
For most trains its 25 000 volts
I work here too. 😅
You should have been told and truck checked for height. 😮
told what ?
Drivers now days dont fill up there blinker fluid bottles so no blinkers
big helllo

you have rubber tyres and would be insulated.
@@DesStewartThe same still applies. I wouldn't fancy testing it, but theoretically you should be fine.
If you start before 4am thought you legally could only do a 10hr wtd day
wrong

Good morning Jay please I went to learn how to drive truck, please.
I`m in Scotland and wouldn't recognise your accent as being from Manchester.
15hrs should be paid at 8 hrs @£30. 4 hrs@£60 & 3hrs @ £100 making £780.
Did you know you can mute your Tom Tom 👍🏻. Don’t know how you do the vlogs with that constantly talking
fgood vid
Glasgow drivers are very ignorant they never say thanks or let you out, haha can you tell im from Edinburgh no love lost there then
Edinburgh is a nice city it would need to be better sign posted
Driving really has gone pants… pushed and under paid….. office staff have no respect.. so drivers don’t care….
Put your camera 🎥 out side you toy truck
Fuck all wrong with the Scottish accent it's great
Well said, 👍👍
