    @TripSmith, great video and channel! Thank you for sharing your journey. I have just discovered your channel and to my surprise, I saw you were on a Bering! I have been the captain of the B92, covered 12.000 NM in 10 months, including an Atlantic crossing. The boat did great. Sadly though, I had to say goodbye to the boat only a couple weeks ago.
    After having seen and driven a couple at the shipyard recently, I can say that Berings are truly amazing yachts! One of a kind, even! It really saddens me to see one neglected so much. As impressive as they are built, every boat need attention and love. I am sure in the hands of the right permanent crew, this boat can be restored to its former seagoing glory! Glad you guys made it safe to the dock.

    Bering yachts are my favorite when it comes to exploration. I’m working towards owning one day as a retirement gift to myself. I see no issue with this yacht other than poor negligence in maintaining the yacht from the previous owner. It’s just like anything else, car, house, bike, aircraft, if not maintained properly things will eventually break or stop working. I’m not an expert on everything but I do fly planes for a living, but hey that’s just my two cents of this situation when reading the comments.

      sorry but a 2019 boat with this many issues is just bad build quality to me. Negligence doesn't stop all these electronics working after 5 years. I have boats from the 70s that are still in working order without too much hassle. They just build stuff like this nowadays and try to make us accept it as normal.

    • @Stagga345
      @Stagga345 2 місяці тому +1

      @pjoi6526 Your boats from the 70's that are still in working condition today, I assume, are being used on an almost frequent basis, however giving this boat history with the previous own last I check it was sitting for over two years not being run the way it supposed to be as a yacht. No way can it be the manufacturer problem. It's like your house, for example. If you don't maintain it, to donall the necessary things to uphold the living condition, the house becomes unlivable. It's just common sense.

      Boats are funny things. The builder builds the hull and then install various systems made by others. It sounds like this boat's issues are third party components. Installation can be done incorrectly, however and it's hard to be 100% sure. Maintenance is another huge factor. All of the systems mentioned need to be maintained properly to continue to function. If a boat sits too long, maintenance disappears and systems suffer. The chunk out of the propeller was probably from an object strike. All-in-all it sound like this boat has been mistreated badly. IMHO.

      I don't know..... From what I've heard, they make good boats. This was hull #1 for that model so a bit of a learning curve. Also, supposedly, the previous owner might have used it as a floating condo and neglected maintenance?
