    I had a teacher this inspiring in high school in a different way, on day one he said something i will never forget:
    "Here, in this room moving forward, we discuss to understand, not argue to win."
    He speaks with the same memorable nature on this.

      Perfect. Then outside of the class, people talk over each other to argue to be "right"
      I always say this. "I dont care WHO is right, but I care WHAT is right"

    I remember when I was a child 2000 seemed so far. I've come to life in the 80ies. 90ies was about progress and all that (basically trying hard not to be the 80ies anymore). Then from 2000 onwards it's as if nobody knew what to do anymore. It's like it was never supposed to happen and time should've stopped in 1999.

      For all intents and purposes- cheating is not inherently “wrong” if it can get you success.
      Even with morality being a law of vibing with the universe, and what goes around comes around- it isn’t obvious that it’s the better decision when you look at politicians.
      In order for me to believe that humans have inherent value and certain rights- I must believe that we were made in the image of our creator as his ultimate expression in the system we are living,
      and if I don’t then it becomes a lot easier for me to disregard virtues and laws when it suits me.

    I feel very bad for poor Jacque. He must have been so frustrated during his lifetime with this dumb system of lies, SO alone in his dedication to verisimilitude, & now he is still robbed of his last few breaths of life telling people about these very obvious facts. We owe this man EVERYTHING. One day, so many people will know his name & he won't be around to get the recognition he deserves.
    All his life, he has tried to tell people about our stupidity, & the danger of distraction, & enrolment with society. I only wish I had heard about him years ago. I wish he was young again, & ready & willing to lead us to this new world. I love you Jacque. You are the last person on earth that I would forget. You are the definition of humanitarian. And my mind is SO much clearer & less full of crap down to your teachings.

      We need just more time so we can understand this kind of mentality.I have some friends,good friends,but i just can't show to all of them this kind of thinking,and they have been at school and few of them have upper studies,and i live in Europa.I think 80-90 % of people from this world is not capable to understand what this man talk from 70' till he die.Young people,a lott of them,is brainwashed,and almost all of old people live in the past,believe in the religion and you cannot tell them they believe in lies to 50-60 years,they listen to you and just cannot and don't want to understand this.We need like a society maybe 100-200 years maybe to understand and larger scale what this man told us,and maybe even then we gonna be even more idiots then now,or we gonna extinct till then.
      And you have so damn right,this man deserve so many appreciation from us,and i look now he had 100k views on internet,and i do not hear about him anywhere and nobody knew by me tell his name,until i find a picture of one of his quotes,and even now i believe this is so true,unbelieve true."how we can live together on mars when we can't know live on earth".We invest in nuclear bombs,in army,in space ships but we cannot accept anything from this kind of stuffs we gonna same us.We have this perfect world here,with anything we want,but we wanna live on mars.We cannot live in apartments more then 10 days,and we go to beach and on the mountains,and we gonna live on mars,in some cage of stells and we gonna look at a planet perfectly for use,but now in flames and destroy.Us humans,like species,we just now learn how to halk,we are so at beggining of our life,we think we are 35 years old and be our master,but we are like a litlle baby,with no idea what we gonna do in 5 10 50 years.We eat and shit ourself,and wait to somebody to help us every time when we doing something wrong."god" help us

      @@Hineni71 I am going to take an estimate, based on the views I've seen on many Jacque Fresco videos, also his Venus Project videos, and Peter Joseph's Zeitgeist related content, as well as channels like Moneyless Society, Second Thought, Our Changing Climate and a few others - there are millions of people around the world who understand and can understand what Jacque is saying about humanity and our systems and what we can do to make a sustainable, healthy society.
      I think the problem is we are intentionally not taught about the absolutely proven toxicity and inefficiency of our current monetary-market system and then the beauty of a resource-based economy as young people. Young people if they started their schooling learning about the inefficiency of the monetary-system, learning about how environment shapes behaviour, how most crime is due to people deprived of basic needs, most war is petty behavoiur intended for control of resources for profit and that the most sustainable and healthy economy we could build would be something like a resource-based economy. Kids could get this. Why? Because most kids, if they are lucky to be supported growing up, live in a resource-based home economy. They get their needs taken care of, for free. They can truly understand this kind of thinking if we taught it to them early on and throughout their life.
      So that's what the challenge is now: Re-teaching not just kids, but many, many adults who have absolutely no exposure to the kind of thinking that Jacque has been talking about.
      It's possible, and we might as well try because the future with an RBE is far brighter than one with a monetary-market economy.

      I think evolutional intelligence is real. We dont have intelligence you only about 2000 people tops were given the evolutional intelligence to invent the things we have today. It was not the whole population of people on the earth which woke up one day and had hightened brain waves producing higher cognitive thinking skills lol no. If that was what happened then there would have been more inventions and technological advances now. Just because now we can read about how those who just miraculously started to think on a higher plain doesnt mean or make us as equal as they were. I think and i know without a doubt that it is this lie, which has cause the population to not care about their surroundings. But why. Would only a few people be given or receive such higher sense of perceiving and thinking and the rest of the population left. 🌴🌱🌰🌰🌼🌱🌷🌵🌿🍁🍂🌾🐣

      @Zeitgeist0 2 роки тому +10

      Nice. For me the moment to learn English was 2Pac deeper music like until the end of time. I totally wanted to learn English to better feel his music. And then many years later around 2011 I learned about Jacque, and I was so glad that I could halfway understand him. I always have some understanding problems in belongings of the pronunciations. And still have them. But to be fair, I have the same problem in my native language German. For some reasons I always understand not clearly enough spoken words some ryhmes. Let's say if you'd say any word I understand a very similar word. Which makes it really hard when it comes to languages that I learned really late in life like with 21 years.
      Anyway, I am totally happy for you that you can understand him. I am glad myself to be able to understand him. Although still having problems with pronunciation sometimes. Maybe also beacuse of his age and broken speaking in some way.
      Man, I love and miss this awesome human being. He showed me foremost that I am not alone with my deepest wishes for a better world. He showed me that there is still enough hope to go on. He made me understand that the solution for our terrible messed up world van only be, a radical change in thinking and seeing our world.
      And he made me understand that people hate to change when they are especially in fear for their future. Which btw. money and politics produces en masse. Because there is absolutely no safety when it comes to life and future.
      The problem with cultures is, people are afraid of so much. We tell our kids it's not good to have fears so the kids try to stay away from fears instead of telling kids fear is absolutely normal and needed and can only be passed with bravery. So instead of teaching bravery we give ourselves even more fears. The fear for fears to be exact. It's all so messed up really. And yet it's not all lost. On the contrary, there is still time. But it keeps running out as we speak or write comments. So even that there is still time to change the world and therefor get changed by the world afterwards (instead of trying to change yourself, which does not even the slightest bit change the world afterwards) there is no more time to waste.
      And Jacque Fresco made the really clear even that he didn't say it. It's what you can come up to think by yourself when you listen to him.
      He was such a great thinker and speaker. If there ever was a too big loss of a human being, than it's him. Like Nicola Tesla, Da Vinci and those peoples. And for me it's clear. Fresco belongs to that kind of people with his genius. Before him all I could see watching this world was we need to change it. Because changing ourselves is leading to nowhere. And yet ai didn't know how. I ONLY knew we must get rid of money all my life. Well, since the age of 9 I knew it. ^^
      But with 21 or so I learned to understand why I thought that all these years. And today I come to think almost the same things as Jacque, although different ways and reasons, we came to the exact same solutions for the problems the world's got to solve.
      Thank you for reading and thinking. Stay awake and keep up the hope for a better world. Because IT'S ABSOLUTELY NOT UTOPIA if you still think a better and best possible world is... POSSIBLE!
      Love ya'll even those who hate me for what I am saying here. OK, writing. ^^

    There is a book called "Wisdom of the Elders," by David Suzuki, that expresses ideas very similar to Fresco's. I recommend this book highly.
    It says that we live in mental models of reality/the Universe, in our minds.
    These mental models are called Paradigms.
    The book uses the simpler model of human behavior that can be found by studying the Indigenous peoples and their paradigms.
    It's obvious from the comments that not everybody is going to get this.

    • @Picklemedia
      @Picklemedia 9 років тому +1

      bimmjim Dude, there is something smelly about the way you communicate. I had a look at your other UA-cam comments, and there's a common theme. You clearly haven't accomplished a fucking thing, you _transparent,_ sad, old man.

    • @donttalkcrap
      @donttalkcrap 8 років тому +3

      What they both have said is similar because it makes sense (though Fresco came 25 years before Suzuki)
      If you would care to look back many more centuries to the ancient Greeks, you will find that they invented the term Paradigm and mental models, so none of this is new.

    I return to watch this video to remind myself that what Jacque speaks of is not an easy conversation to have. I'm currently talking to people about how the Environment shapes behavior, but just about EVERYONE I've spoken too about these ideas, they just don't understand the language that I try to use; It can take a long time.
    Some say things like, "You don't understand the boss has to pay for these things!" and a few days later they might say something like, "These people, (Management, CEO's, Shareholders, etc.) are working us 7 days a week, 10-12-hour days, and no real raises or benefits!" They can't seem to put the pieces together to create the Puzzle that is the Environment that creates the Situations; They only focus on the Person.
    It's going to be a bit of a long road, however; I've dropped a lot of my expectations (Material Possessions, Approval of Communications, Etc.
    "This Sh*t has to go!" - Jaque Fresco
    I totally agree.

    Solid talk. Doing a PhD just now in VR and have to say my exposure to travel, numerous software systems and r and d structured buisnesses has allowed me to conceptualise then write my findings with realitive ease. Ideas arnt hard. Good ideas I'll spend months just thinking them through until I find the limitation of the idea and it stays with me.
    Then the idea of, "what if me sharing this idea fills a hole in someone else's thought process, what if my failed idea is the key for whatever reason (lack of exposure to a specific point in my theory) to someone else's ground breaking research" it's why I started a blog and a UA-cam channel. If I can help influence someone's great work that's a life well spent.
    So for me, thinking ideas into creation beyond paper is hard even when you can see the flaws, but you don't know what ideas spawn from your failed idea.
    My life is full of failures. I'm 26 and haven't succeeded once, everything seems like a failure and I'm being dead serious. I don't know what success would look like. My PhD is a ticket but still a failure. Although my ideas on natural interface interaction for VR and computer systems is novel it's not right because it would take generations of evolution before it realllly ticks that box in my head.
    I need more exposure, more exposure to the new ideas of VR which has only been conceptualised in the past two years id say.. so the birth of a new technology requires exactly what this talk is about. You need exposure to other fields to start developing something for a new field, what you basing the foundation of your ideas on otherwise?

      Keep working on your ideas. Use your imagination. It's a really powerful tool, which I think people underestimate. Stay on top of the latest available resources, ofc, and whenever more appear, the whole field of VR will reach a new handhold allowing them to struggle onwards and upwards, but you will be giving yourself a huge advantage over your peers by contemplating now what they don't think they can because they didn't learn to push themselves outside the box violently or persistently enough.. not understanding, not succeeding.. good reasons to Keep Thinking, KEEP TRYING. Bad reasons to stop. I'm a musician.. most people quit because they're not good. I know you have to be bad and continue being bad for a long time before you are even meh. The same is true of brainstorming within systems that don't quite exist yet.. even moreso, surely.. And if you understand baasically how a system CAN work, you can take your mind to some very strange places without losing touch of what is and isn't possible or at all likely.
      I've been scrolling through hundreds of comments trying to find just one person who finds the whole 'many, many years later..' thing as absurd as I do.. so you're working with animal skins and you accidentally create a bow.. you pluck it, *twanngg!* .... and YEARS pass before you realize what it's capable of? Even if experience is required, which doesn't make sense because humans do have an innate understanding of physics, how long does it take for someone who dries animal skins to remember what happens when you pull on either side of a pelt with a stone in the center? How many times did he say that in the first bit.. 'after many many years [very simple thing easily uncovered by basic logic] was finally discovered.... but it wasn't enough! (because of course no one before the invention of tweed and chalk was capable of thinking even one step ahead of an idea)
      One thing humans are really good at is identifying the object in the room with the highest potential for fun... And if there's nothing particularly fun, then daydreaming.. pre globalization eskimos had seen rocks, pebbles, very very small bits of rock.. dirt.. crushed shells.. the only plants they ever encountered on land were small.. but they saw animals of all sizes.. little sardines, big whales, all sorts in between. They knew of larger plants that grew from deep in the sea.. they must have imagined larger plants.. warmer areas.. they must have imagined ALL the snow melting, or even places that were never cold enough to have snow.. and they understood the physics of the sea and the basic logic of biology.. rocks and shells found near water have softer edges.. warmth = life.. so a warmer place would be absolutely full of shells, and those shells would break and break and break and soften to create light sand.. or just knowing how water carries the smallest bits away first, they would have at least imagined black sand and pebble beaches with plants that are huge compared to grass or a shrub in the same way a whale is huge compared to a little baby sardine.. insane to think there weren't a few people on the cliff side at every single of episode of this bird suit fiasco he describes just.. shaking their heads.. "you're not listening! You need to approximate the same weight to wing size relationship, tail shape, skeletal structure, etc! Stop! You will die!" Sigh I need breakfast
