Well almost a year after you posted this I found this vid. I just got my dragon today and had ABSOLUTELY no clue what all the cables were for to hook it up to my PC. I’m glad we were on the same page and thanks for figuring it out! Great vid and thanks.
I bought these and they arrived today, you were definitely right about the audio being blocked. I was playing a game using chainsaws and the chainsaw sounded incredibly muffled. I took the foam padding out and the audio was so much clearer. Thanks for the help on that. Overall this headset is very good, the audio is not much better than my old tecknet headphones, but the features and designs on this product are amazing. It feels very comfortable, the mic quality is amazing and it is definitely better than some other 50 dollar headphones. (For anyone struggling with putting the memory foam earpads back on after taking the foam pads out, use a thin, long object such as a butter knife to get the material into the grooves)
@@moslem8656 hey, for me it was a very good headset, it broke after a week but it’s only cuz my cat bit through the wire. If you keep the headphones away from your pets or anything sharp it should last you a long time. Id personally say that it’s worth it to buy
Awais Qureshi It’s honestly a little more of a sound difference from pc to console, with my ps however, it’s a little lower than I’d like, in terms of how clear it can sound, but it’s still not as bad as my previous mics that’s I’ve gotten
Got these after my Logitech G430's right side broke. For me they are a little tight but I feel like they will do the job just fine. Also I never would've thought that there could be a muffler behind the earcups, no other reviewer pointed this out, overall a great and honest review, you sir got yourself a new subscriber!
got them as backup.., in the begining i was pissed and wanted to write a rant here !! but after installing the software and tinkering it with eq !! iam blown away... its excellent beautiful full sound and very clear mic !! i got the v2 christmas edition and its on par on some much more expensive headsets that i have
To answer your question about the splitter- it is used for audio interfaces (for musicians). If you want to connect your headphones to it, you will just need headphones (green), and not mic (purple) because if you connect just a 3.5 mm cable without the splitter into the interface, it will divide the sound into 2 separate ways resulting that you don't properly hear the signal when recording through DAW (digital audio workstation).
Great review again dude! As for the headset. I give them win on everything basically and I trust your opinion in regards to sound quality and comfort, so I would say it is a win there as well. Also, the mic sounded amazing! Especially for that price? This is a no-brainer for sure! Redragon are offering really good quality budget products. I have a few friends that used their mechanical keyboards that are priced at around $40-$50 and I would say that they are really worth it as well. As for the foam pad, I hope they watch this review and take a note of the following: Either make the foam pad thinner or of a material that woudn't hold the sound. Otherwise, you can remove the foam pad and if you are into it, you can make yourself a custom one from a better material that won't supress the sound. Just use the headset's foam pad for a template/pattern and you are good to go.

Got mine and I can say that this headset is the best! Everything you need in headset is there. BASS, SURROUND SOUND, QUALITY MIC, QUALITY SOUNDS! Man, It was the best decision that I bought this one over HYPER X, RAZER KRAKEN X and ARTICS. Just an underrated headset but SUPERB! I enjoyed every surround sound that youtube can offer :D

I use the USB Control Box with the switch docked and it works and sounds great. Volume buttons works and sounds better then using the 3.5mm cable in handheld. I highly recommend these probably one of the best sounding gaming headset under $100 and for $50 it's a steal also sounds very good for music.

bought 1 today for only P1,950 pesos..from pc options gilmore philippines, and im very impress w/ the sound quality! especially the 7.1 surround sound on pc, the bass wow....fantastic.. bang for the buck! i love redragon they made quality products for a reasonable price😃
The Y splitter is probably for some older or newer laptops that dont have enough USB ports to accommodate the plug, but the 3.5 jack is free. Like my current laptop which is a Dell Inspiron 14, It still has the 2 3.5mm Jack for the headset and mic and only 4 USB ports. I usually plug in my Mouse, Keyboard, Laptop Cooler, and my RGB mousepad. so the only thing free for my audio is the 3.5s so I just tend to use those instead.
Thank you! I was having trouble with the mic. The stupid instructions didn't help. I aligned the notch on the mic with the headset and PRESTO! The other video I watched made no mention of that!

redragon products are great, they have mechanical keyboards and condenser microphone which im still using for years now with almost zero issues. I'm looking to buy this one for the sake to have an alternative headphones beside my steelseries.
No idea about the audio gear they're putting out but I've had a Redragon K550 keyboard that works and feels great and has lasted for almost 5 years now. Also have a M901 mouse and while the left button got wonky doing the double click on a single thing after about 4 and a half years I feel that's a fairly good life span for a button that sees very heavy use. I liked it enough that I replaced it earlier this year with the a new one of the same model. IMO Redragon makes very solid gear at a really good price.

I bought them today at Amazon, they are on sale (for today) at $ 40.00 I was encouraged to buy them due to this excellent review, I'm very happy now. Now it's time to wait for the package to arrive in my country. I have a Cloud II and I will see how it compares to the sound and the microphone with my old Cloud II. Maybe we can watch a video comparing some variant of HyperX Cloud (Alpha, Core, Cloud II) against these H510 Zeus in the future?
@@kylieanneking2606 Well, the headsets have surprised me a lot for the price they have, the only thing I do notice in comparison to the HyperX Cloud II is the quality of the materials. The headband and the leather that covers it are not seen to last long. As for sound while I've played ... it's almost on par with HyperX Cloud II (Cloud II will always have great gaming sound). But in the end they sound great and I can hear the footsteps of the enemy and know the direction of their footsteps, I must add that I do not use the 7.1 option, I always prefer stereo. I don't use them to listen to music, because I don't think they are headsets to listen to music since they prioritize explosions and shooting in video games.

Looks like the H510, just like the HyperX Cloud and even the Logitech G Pro X are coming from the same base headphones, which are the TakStar Pro 80. But I have to admit that the microphone sounds really incredible!

Go for this headset bro. Unless if you dont mind the other headset issues like the mic quality. But if you go for the hs35 go for the black one instead of the others cuz of the headjack splitter.

I just bought H510 zeus and its mic is picking up all the desktop sounds like ingame audio or even sounds of videos etc. Can someone help please? I tried all the fixes i could find already.
It is easy to remove and put back again, the side of the earpads are surprisingly elastic, you can remove it easily if you press your finger inside the earpads on the upper part and apply a bit of force.
hi! the spliter is for having the option to connect it via a dedicated sound card, like a soundblaster oni surround (wich is my case) excelent video! this is my next purchase, greetings from Argentina
@@TheTechne the main difference is that before the splitter, the jack 3.5mm is TRSS (Wich the cable and the plug includes mic+ both drivers of the headset, and after the splitter, is one cable for both drivers (TRS) and the mic separately
they gave the spliter because you cant use the mic with only the 3.5 jack,this option is if you want to use the 3.5 with mic you must connect it with the splitter and plug it to the mic and headphone slots accordingly
The splitter is because a normal PC doesn't have a 4 pin (audio + mic) 3.5mm jack just a 3 pin (audio or mic). The splitter splits the 4 pin so it can work audio and microphone at the same time. Laptops don't need this
The splitter is usefull if you have an usb external soundcard like "Soundblaster XG 1" and want a splitted output connection to your speaker amplifier. For this option you sadly can't take the usb cable.

If they're too tight leave them overnight in open position so that they stretch out much faster.

I bought them today at Amazon, they are on sale (for today) at $ 40.00 I was encouraged to buy them due to this excellent review, I'm very happy now.
Now it's time to wait for the package to arrive in my country. I have a Cloud II and I will see how it compares to the sound and the microphone with my old Cloud II.
Maybe we can watch a video comparing some variant of HyperX Cloud (Alpha, Core, Cloud II) against these H510 Zeus in the future?

@@kylieanneking2606 Well, the headsets have surprised me a lot for the price they have, the only thing I do notice in comparison to the HyperX Cloud II is the quality of the materials. The headband and the leather that covers it are not seen to last long.
As for sound while I've played ... it's almost on par with HyperX Cloud II (Cloud II will always have great gaming sound). But in the end they sound great and I can hear the footsteps of the enemy and know the direction of their footsteps, I must add that I do not use the 7.1 option, I always prefer stereo.
I don't use them to listen to music, because I don't think they are headsets to listen to music since they prioritize explosions and shooting in video games.
@@Pexuwais I´m between the Cloud II and these, even when there is a big difference in price in my country ($69 vs $125) this don´t bother me and I just want a good pair of headset. Which one would you recommend since you tried both?

Looks like the H510, just like the HyperX Cloud and even the Logitech G Pro X are coming from the same base headphones, which are the TakStar Pro 80. But I have to admit that the microphone sounds really incredible!

@@heisenberg2649 i didn't use h510 yet.. but i have fantech mh82 echo right now.. and the experience using this headset is superb ..the price also cheap..good noise cancellation, metal body, good mic, good bass for music listening... It also has stereo sound..if you want to use it on pc.. just buy cooler master soundcard and plug it in if you want the 7.1 surround sound..overall this fantech is good for me..
Just got my Zeus2. 5:46 these are sewed to the earpads now and can't be removed without tearing.

I was conflicted on which headset to get between the corsair hs35 and razer kraken X, but now i think ill be getting this headset`s and with its price to quality. and the microphone as well
yes very cozy. they only downfall is the non swivel earcups. but over all very cozy

Go for this headset bro. Unless if you dont mind the other headset issues like the mic quality. But if you go for the hs35 go for the black one instead of the others cuz of the headjack splitter.

I just bought H510 zeus and its mic is picking up all the desktop sounds like ingame audio or even sounds of videos etc. Can someone help please? I tried all the fixes i could find already.

It is easy to remove and put back again, the side of the earpads are surprisingly elastic, you can remove it easily if you press your finger inside the earpads on the upper part and apply a bit of force.

hi! the spliter is for having the option to connect it via a dedicated sound card, like a soundblaster oni surround (wich is my case)

@@TheTechne the main difference is that before the splitter, the jack 3.5mm is TRSS (Wich the cable and the plug includes mic+ both drivers of the headset, and after the splitter, is one cable for both drivers (TRS) and the mic separately
they gave the spliter because you cant use the mic with only the 3.5 jack,this option is if you want to use the 3.5 with mic you must connect it with the splitter and plug it to the mic and headphone slots accordingly
most USB headsets don't include a splitter
The splitter is because a normal PC doesn't have a 4 pin (audio + mic) 3.5mm jack just a 3 pin (audio or mic). The splitter splits the 4 pin so it can work audio and microphone at the same time. Laptops don't need this
The splitter is usefull if you have an usb external soundcard like "Soundblaster XG 1" and want a splitted output connection to your speaker amplifier. For this option you sadly can't take the usb cable.

oh no no mic trickery, straight recorded on abs then put in video. the mic was so great on this headset, and I was connected straight to the mobo via usb
