Thanks Rachit bhai. This my take. When I compare Ecosport petrol automatic Vs Creta petrol AT (SX). I would choose ecosport. Becuase I dont think Creta can accommodate 5 persons "comfortably" during long highway trips where you need to drive more than 6 to 8 hours. May be 1 or 2 hours should be ok, but anything beyond that people would definitely feel not that comfortable. The other points to consider, mainly the price difference. For a 16 lakhs on road price (ecosport titanium+ is at 13.50 on-road hyderabad), Creta doesn't offer many feature like 6 airbags, leather upholstery, tilt and telescopic steering, break assist, hill hold assist, ESP...and many minor features. And as far as the mileage goes both offer more or less same at city and on highways.
At the end both are comfortable cars for highway and city drives. But 2.5L lesser than Creta along with more safety and other features...at this time I would choose Ecosport 🤚👍
Hi i read many eco AT users said milage is low..i mean 7 in city 12 in highway..very less
New engine and gearbox gives a more suv feel. I have ecosport at and I dominate the road due to power and punch. This is proper compact SUV. Why talk about average?

@@anirbanghosh5066 the model which I own is trend + automatic which is not in market now. The model available is titanium ➕ which has cruise Control and sports model. Basically a big polo gt tsi. Gear is toque converter which is more reliable compared to dry dct which heats up. For highways lets say uptill 140 km per hour you will not feel unsafe. Reached 160 easily. Never tried more

Rachit now Ecosport Titanium + Petrol AT is offered with 16 inch wheel and not 17 inch, also dropped TPMS facility from this model.
Also the parcel tray under co passenger seat has been removed.

The older ecosport automatic had 1500cc 4 cylinders motor mated to powershift DCT transmission which was more advanced swift and and fuel efficient. These transmissions are found only in high end cars like audi VW and BMW. It was definitely cost cutting measures due to too much competion from its new rivals.

My Ecosport does not have the underneath the seat storage which you have shown. Has the dealer cheated me? I have checked underneath the front passenger seat but there is nothing. Pls reply. Thanks
The underseat parcel tray has been removed by ford since april 2018 onwards, secondly previously it was available only in titanium + trim.
Which variant u have?
Boshy Vl Titanium plus but with 16 inch alloys
Now., Titanium + AT is sold without the underseat parcel tray

Two things are not covered (a) How narrow the back seat is w.r.t competition i.e is it adequate to accommodate upto three persons for a comfortable long ride ? (b) Does the length of the vehicle include the width of the spare wheel on the rear ? Fuel consumption of 12/13 Km/L in City drive seems to be very low compared to there similar compact SUVs...comment please. Is Automatic Torque Converter superior to CVT systems ?
I personally liked Torque Converters more than CVTs. But CVT will give you better fuel economy.
No, the rear spear wheel isn't included in its claimed length.
For my family the back is wide enough but then Noone is my fam is taller than 5'11 and health wise, we on the leaner side. We never had a problem with 5 people.
You should go to your nearby showroom and check the car in person and might be even better to take test drive.

I drive this car in hyd the city mileage is around 11 to 12 kms ... I took it on a long drive for around 1600 kms n drove the car mostly in the cruise control at a speed of 85 n kept the rpm at around 2 n the mileage I got was 15.4 kms

Well, EcoSport S is available only in a 6 speed manual variant. Mileage could be more or less the same as this 1.5 automatic, although performance should be better. However, the S gets 17" alloys which could be a pain to maintain if you drive on poor roads regularly. This 1.5 automatic gets 16" wheels

There is still a lack of good options for people to buy automatic cars in india at the sub 10 lac rs bracket. Hatchback or Compact SUV.
Honda Amaze CVT is best in this price range.CVT has a smoother transmission however Automatic gears have jerks while transmission and also lagging issue But not such issue with CVT.

8-9 in city with ac and 12-13 on Highway ope it will increase after 3rd or 4th service.Mine is just a month old Titanium petrol.

But in petrol honda city far far better in mileage, pickup and performance that's why every car experts know what to choose in city and verna in petrol. But in diesel verna is best in segment and in petrol city is best.

I have this car. The only downside is the mileage. 9.2 kmpl in Jaipur city. Will post about highway later. First service is due. Will also post improvement in mileage later.
