      yea man i mean, longer arms CAN make it harder, but it really does goes to show that BODYWEIGHT is most relevant when it comes to bench over everything else! It is the one powerlift also that is most correlated to bodyweight, more so than squat and deadlift. Of course, not saying that Kirill did that weight just because he's big, i mean there's bigger guys than him, but yeah man it REALLY helps just being big af

    Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.

    • @leftphilange69
      @leftphilange69 4 роки тому

      Barry Boppins I actually like this. A light but definitive touch where you don’t get any bounce is more legit than some guys who pause while supporting the weight then letting it dip into their chest for a delayed bounce - especially some of the bigger guys with large pecs/good amount of upper body fat. I’ve always thought that having to wait for an up call in the bench was a bit silly but it definitely beats a massive chest bounce.

    • @leftphilange69
      @leftphilange69 4 роки тому

      Barry Boppins yes I agree - what I’m saying is that I think it would make a good standard for competition across some of the more we’ll known federations. There’s quite a few things I would definitely change about the modern state of powerlifting rules and regulations, but that’s just me.

  • @stephenst0312
    @stephenst0312 4 роки тому +5

    Hoornstra’s first bench should’ve been 3 reds, the second had an iffy lockout but it was borderline. I’m guessing the first guy competed in a fed that didn’t have a press command but it looked easy AF for him so I doubt it would’ve made a difference
