Funny how the heaviest bench is also the cleanest one with an actual pause at the bottom from a 6'8 guy with super long arms .
word for word what I was gonna type!
Hes incredible
yea man i mean, longer arms CAN make it harder, but it really does goes to show that BODYWEIGHT is most relevant when it comes to bench over everything else! It is the one powerlift also that is most correlated to bodyweight, more so than squat and deadlift. Of course, not saying that Kirill did that weight just because he's big, i mean there's bigger guys than him, but yeah man it REALLY helps just being big af
If you havent Seen it already, but watch his 330kg bench, even More impressive imo. Looked like a warmup.
@@DaLooseGoose11 why do you say bodyweight helps bench over squat and dead more so?
Can I be on the list? I benched 750lb and weigh 170lb. I lost the footage tho.
Jitters Geyser lol
I did 800 so I have that title sorry
I bench almost 2000 so there’s no way y’all can compete
Guys, y'all weak af, I weigh 140lb and I bench 3500lb. Sorry for destroying your dreams.
I bench infinity +1 ha i win.
The little guy benches more than I can deadlift. Respect!
Ur weak
@@thelastkings1837 Yes I am but not for long. Being weak is normal. Staying weak is not. I will train harder. :D What are your lifts?
His range of motion is like 3 cm
@@thelastkings1837 its not average strength what that guy did also with short range no need to attack
Didn’t really count though
0:35 sorry i laughed the spotters were waiting for him to fully extend
Lmao
Lol
123 lb guy benching 598 lb...no footage because it didn't happen. 177.5 KG is 391 lbs.
It’s possible. Unlikely yeah, but there’s always freaks even when compared to other freaks.
PhotoGeorge insecure
I've searched and searched for legitimate (even written) record of this by from ANY of the major Powerlifting organizations of this; there is NONE.
It was probably with a bench suit
@@Timmeh59 whats that?
Me- I can push 300 at 210. That's not bad right?
Midget- hold my pre workout
But like his range of motion is like 3 inches
Pretty sure if I tried to bench even twice my weight my range of motion would result in a closed casket funeral.
Steve Huk LMFAO, but benching over your body weight is always good, keep the prs coming
Thanks. Focussed more on squat, deads, and push presses these days. I have delusions of entering a local amateur strong man contest spring. I figure I'll come in last but it will still be a bucket list item checked off.
Hold my legs*
That 503lb at 148lb without an excessive arch was the most mind boggling and impressive aside from kirill
and that SAME DUDE got the bench press world record at a weight class above, too...my god.
Also, i did some calculations, his 148lb bw bench record sits at like 3.40 TIMES his bodyweight, the one at 165lbs bw is still above 3x bw at 3.17x. Holy shit, it's already considered elite level to hit 3x bw on SQUATS AND DEADLIFTS, lmao.
Loose Goose it’s insane. 99.9% of us will never reach a 2x bw bench never mind 3x plus. Obviously he’s competing untested, but he can’t just up the dose being that lean and competing at such a low body weight. Truly the genetics of the gods
Patrick Bateman .. I cant even bench my body weight 🥺
Rome O ... thx buddy, I won’t stop till I do 💪🏽🤙🏽
Rome O ... will do, this is my first week back in the gym after being away for 20 years 👍🏽
Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.
The last one was amazing
Looked like he could sqeeuze out some reps
Kiril will hit the 350kg mark within a 2 years
chris fricker he’s not training for it so no he will not.
@Tyler Vincent kiril told my mate he can deadlift 501kg unconfirmed
@Tyler Vincent true story bro!!!!
That 110kg lift might be one of the worst bro lifting meet "records" I've seen. Even the dodgiest federations would red light that
agree mate , great bencher but his form in competition is dogshit
no lock out before going down, no pause, no lockout at the top, seems good!
Average_Aussie yeah the pause was suspect but I watched a video about him and his elbows are actually locked out there. That’s as far as they go
There were several lifts that should have been red lighted. You have to red light a bad lift irrespective of how close it is, especially if you're gonna call it a world record. Several touch and go, and no lock outs; a couple had both.
Ryan Strohman you can literally see his arms extending more and actually locking out when the spotters grab the bar...
Hoonstra never gets his arms locked out.
Dude I know what's that about? Can't believe they counted
Build 13 kg of body weight to lift 1,1 kg more ;p
Jeremy Hoornstra
To be fair his form was much better the 305 bench was so bounced he just could've had trampolines on both sides
And not lock out either time
It was way cleaner tho
That's how strength works, a billion kg man would lift only a bunch of kg more than a million one
Davide T. You realise how much bigger a billion is than a million? I know your making a comparison but don’t do it by such a big difference.
The michael Booker one seems off, 177.5kg is about 390 lbs, not 598.
Hundo plates maybe
Maybe it was meant to be 277.5?
You are correct its suppose to be 391 you can even check on openpowerlifting
Oh thank God I was seriously about to quit powerlifting lmao
Okay, cause i was going to say, a 131 pounder benching almost 600?? Holy fuckin shit, how do they not have that on film? Lol
Imagine how much crazier it would look if they used bumper plates lol. Ps i know it wont fit
That would be an amazing problem to have 💪
Unbelievable... Out of the 3 lifts , bench is the one that impresses me the most .
Has to be deadlift for me
Out of powerlifts, deadlift. Out of all lifts, I find big overhead press most impressive
Deadlifts all the way for me
@@None-zv2qk what blows my mind is to see guys lighter than me bench my deadlift lol I just can't imagine how they can pause these weights on their chest and press it back up
Deadlifts never did anything for me. Any relatively athletic person can deadlift a fuckton of weight, it just depends on how much your willing to fuck up your back lol i feel like when people cant bench a lot they resort to deadlifts/leg press because anyone and their grandma can slap on a bunch of weight and rep it out and that way they feel better about themselves lol
who"s here after julius maddox broke the record ??
man, even when talking about scot's WRs people can't resist using that legendary photo from the time his pec exploded. on a side note, why am i suddenly craving beetroot salad?
With better powerlifting standards now, almost all of those lifts would have been 3 red lights.
C M you’re coping bro the arch isn’t a loophole
Kirill’s was the only one of these even remotely legal. The rest all had either no start command, were touch and go, or no lock out smh
Sarychev with the legit pause. That's a bad man.
Damn right
Easy to forget that Kirill has a crazy total as well which isn’t the case for a lot of these bench guys.
👌
4th highest raw total of all time.
Kirill currently holds the highest push + pull total (bench + deadlift), that previously belonged to Bill Kazmaier.
Kirill's 335kg is the bestest of all. He is just the god of bench. I made a collection of his videos(more than 50's i guess) all from different angles. His technique looks simple but hard to achieve. Honestly, my bench increased bcoz of his videos
I moved from 60kgs to 100kg*4 in 3-4 months. Gained 2kgs of Bodyweight though (64kg-66kg)
Can you upload them and link it here for us to see?
@@SGC998 why not. I will link it here
@@isushantsingh7 where is it
Vid I’ve been waiting for
love ur vids man! can you do junior world records next?
According to my body weight, I’ll need to bench 602 to break the world record..🤔
618 for me I'm 220.lol
Good luck 👍
Benching 1.5x bodyweight is hard and impressive enough

the people in this video: 🥈
me, who told the barber i didn't like the hair cut: 🥇
Just looking at the thumbnail I thought that this was gonna be the craziest transformation ever.
4:06 my man gained 33 pounds and only benched 2 more pounds
Crazy how slow progress is at that level
Sean Evan he is going to attempt a 700 lbs bench at 110kg sometime soon.
Gary Flores actually I was wrong I think it went from 672 to 675 also gave 2 different body weights for some reason but still, also I guesse I can see your point but apparently the other guy who responded to my comment said he’s going for 700 pound bench at lower weight, so maybe he lost weight and lost 3 pounds on his bench since it’s not showing chronological order but weight class and then did the 672 bench and is now maintaining body weight and working towards that 700 bench like the other guy said cause that would make the most sense to me losing that weight and only losing 3 pounds on bench only then working up vs going up and back to same exact weight and gaining 25 pounds on bench
He actually lost 33 lbs and lost 2 lbs of bench, he benched 675 at 275 years Before the 672 at 242
lol
Where is Bradley Castleberry in this ranking!? 😂
Probably saying he can’t because he already did it before supposedly (I am aware of the whol fake plate controversy)
Its in the "IMAGINARY/FANTASY" Federation...or Brads" i.M.o.FU.m"..."in my own fukked upp mind"... it's an imaginary Federation Brad made up in his own mind to go with his own imaginary records that he sets
The under 100kg lift at 3:16 is honestly beautifully done
yes, indeed. considering the guy is over 40 years old, and not even a powerlifter by background (he was a world class weightlifter).
I thought the thumbnail was a before and after picture 😂😂😂
First guy did a touch and go...
New to powerlifting, is touch and go not allowed??
@@joshuaf7296 touch n go isnt allowed. Have to wait for a press command
@@grizzlymanverneteil4443 Ohhh thanks dude. Gonna have to start training pause now
@@joshuaf7296 no problem. You'll probably wanna cut the weight back initially, especially if you arent used to it. Seen plenty of people lose 20 or 30 pounds to a pause.
@@joshuaf7296 you also can't bounce the bar on your chest after the pause. Any downward motion of the bar after the press command is reason to invalidate the lift.
I'm amazed by Sarichev's bench.
Could you make a video for tested competitions?, I'd like to see the differences
+1 only ipf benches
carlitosa0 nah it’s not fair cus you can use gear and cheat on the drug test. Might as well have them all able to take same shit. Would be cool if people where honest but they not :(
Great video! Some timestamps would be greatly appreciated to maybe skip to the weight classes one is interested.
Kirill form is so so much superior to all others... he waits for the calls, he goes down slowly, goes up fast and clean.
While many other don't wait for the call or struggle a lot.
All incredible feat of strength, but Kirill is in another league
I mean... I'll give you the waiting for a call. But struggling is probably gonna happen 9 times out of 10 when it comes to a world record bench attempt...
The heaviest one was also the cleanest. Crazy stuff.
The little guy is very strong. I'm impressed..
Almost as much as tall as alpha destiny
He lifted more than three times his weight. A little beast
I wonder where coach Marc's double bounced crooked 395 world record is on this list..🤔
I was expecting a tiny range of motion but honestly pretty solid form
Half-man destiny
0:15 how can you bench press three times your own bodyweight?! Respect
because when your arms are short and your chest is wide you have less distance to push and more muscle to push with.
THANX for the Head's up..
Hoornstra's head left the bench and he didn't even lock out...
Now you know why Kirill hosts slaping contest
Thumbnail is a before and after photo
Kerry Porter lol
Probs to Kirill for actually locking out and doing an actual pause rep
I thought the thumbnail was a before and after photo. Interested peaked
how did you not add a *doink* sound on that first lift.
The first one would have been 3 red lights at any federation worth competing in. Smh
Just because he’s a midget?
The dwarf lifting much more than me on the bench kinda made me reconsider my life
The guy 50 weight class Is LITTERALLY just a chest
The height of the lifters would also be interesting to know since the height often also determines the weight class
We all know Julius will take the record.
We also know Kirill probably would have hit 748 that day if he loaded that instead of 738 lol. But agreed, Julius is incredible too
DarcnessTrophies Well he didnt so we dont, wish he’d go for it tho
Some of these looked really easy, are there any videos of powerlifters who go for more than one rep and don't get red lighted?
I’m sorry but the boxes for the little dudes feet killed me😂
where was the pause for the first one
Barry Boppins I actually like this. A light but definitive touch where you don’t get any bounce is more legit than some guys who pause while supporting the weight then letting it dip into their chest for a delayed bounce - especially some of the bigger guys with large pecs/good amount of upper body fat. I’ve always thought that having to wait for an up call in the bench was a bit silly but it definitely beats a massive chest bounce.
Barry Boppins yes I agree - what I’m saying is that I think it would make a good standard for competition across some of the more we’ll known federations. There’s quite a few things I would definitely change about the modern state of powerlifting rules and regulations, but that’s just me.
Hoornstra’s first bench should’ve been 3 reds, the second had an iffy lockout but it was borderline. I’m guessing the first guy competed in a fed that didn’t have a press command but it looked easy AF for him so I doubt it would’ve made a difference
The thumbnail seems like a before and after hittin the gym
The first guy didn’t even pause. 😂
Fix your video
Rick Weil holds the 181 raw bench at 556lbs.
Jonathan Harder my goal used to be to bench 300. I never made it.
Who else can't benchpress his body weight? xD
@Austin Furstenberg It's not like I could do that either. 😂😂
came up on my recommended out of the blue. I'm sure some people would have clicked for the First clip due to the mans stature, yet his ROM is much more than I've seen countless times in other clips
The greatest bench presser ever was Mike MacDonald, who recently passed away. He held world records in 4 weight classes (181-242)
Why don’t the records go exponentially up weight to lift ratio?
Jeremy Hoornstra's bench should not have gotten white lighted. His head was so far off the bench and he didn't lock out
For a second i thought it was a before and after picture
By the way...
First record you show displays 177.5 kg and 391 lbs.
The second one (Michael Booker at 0:47) says 177.5 kg and 598 lbs.
I think some had copy/paste errors.
Наши жимовики, конечно, дают
Bruh u shouldn't have a dwarf participating cause they have such a small distance to move the weight its unfair
Alec Rider Somebody is jealous that a dwarf benches 3 times his weight 🙄
Bruh they shouldn't have 7 foot tall players in the NBA they only have to throw the ball 3 feet to hit the net
So, the 200 lb guy can’t quite beat the women’s world record
Who else thought it was a transformation video at first
Wait first bench was at 177.5 kg / 391 lb
But second one was at 177.5 kg / 598 lb?
idk what im more amazed by, someone whos 123lbs benching almost 600lbs or 598lbs and 391lbs being the same weight.
The small dude has a shorter arms which means he doesn’t have to push as far
Footage or it didn't happen.
Jason Anderson lmfao
If it ain't no footage it didn't happen 😂😤
Where is our Powerhouse ... Wheeeels here!!!
Been working out for years and I find out a midget beats me in bench pressing
Yep I think I'm done here
almost no lockouts in these records...
Sean Dudgen(? Spelling) broke the record for 185 lbs. He benched 608
Told myself I'd hit legs today. Think I might do chest instead now
Julius is gonna get that all time bench record, fo real
Tyler Vincent itl be a good back and forth battle to watch, I mean Julius just hit 630 for 5, itl be fun to watch.
598 at 123 is insane
Its a typo. 177.5kg is 390.5
Still insane!
@@TheBacanator I knew it was too crazy
Some of these guys didn’t even have full extension before racking. Does that still count? If so, my max just went up by at least 10%.
Guess we also need a "Body weight to range of motion" world records and not just "Body weight to weight lifted " ratio world records
Not trying to be critical as I am extremely bad at benching and these guys are very strong, but does Jeremy Hoornstra have dodgy elbows or something, coz those didn't look like lockouts to me?
My dad in highschool is a world record holder at that school for weight and size, he was 150 bodyweight and benched 500 lbs
Michael Booker, 123 lb lifting 598 lb which is about 4.8x his body weight.
Gorilas can lift 5x their body weight, and the strongest human based on body weight can lift 3.5x.
*Conclusion: Michael Booker is either a teenage Gorilla, or a Human-Gorilla Hybrid*
Where does the outro audio clip about the TUNES BABY come from?
I'm 99% sure it's Eric Bugenhagen. He's a NXT wrestler and is huge into lifting. Check out his youtube channel and his videos with Jujimufu if you can.
@@bigchrisV69 I always thought it sounded like Omar Isuf for some dumb reason
I would need to nearly triple my current bench press in order to get the WR at my weight class
A few actually looked legitimate, others were good gym lifts but not competition World Record setting. The 275 lb lifter just benched what I typically was capable for a 3rd attempt in the squat as well as the DL!
Which program do you train with. Just a kind request.
I benched 800 lbs at 8 years old. Would've gone for 1000 but I didn't want to bother with a spotter. Too bad I injured my knee playing Golf so I can never do it again
It amazes me how these guys can bench so much over their own body weight. And then I look at them and they look like they weigh a lot more than what they do. I don’t understand lol. Very impressive.
I feel like some of these would be scratches in the meets I compete in. We have pause at the bottom and you can't let the weight sink in and sling shot up after the press command. It goes from stationary to up, or it's a no lift.
I completed regionally and nationally 30 years ago and more than half of these lifts would have never been good back then. All impressive lifts but wow how the rules have changed.
can someone say to me the federation affiliate to thoose record? the only one i find is the IPF and the weight category aren't the same, thanks
For a second I thought the tumblr was before and after, I was like wow
I thought this was a transformation video at first
Not gonna lie, I came to see how much the dwarf could lift. I was not disappointed. The dude's a tank.
That 700 range is something special
How much did that pocket guy bench?
That first dude becnhes my deadlift.. jeez
Are these tested? bench only comps or full comp?
These are all untested and most of them are bench only meets.
Actually, my powerlifting coach holds the bench world record for the 110kg weight class he benched 323.5 kg while weighing 105kg
that first guy! Wow.
Damn over a 3x bodyweight for a bench :o
