It’s a 1979 not 1978! You can tell by the dash! The 1978 dash goes back to 70’s. I have a ‘78 that I bought new, and still have it!
Yep that is at least a 79 dash. Granted the back of the dash is the same as the earlier dashboard.
70-78 version was much much nicer. What were they thinking when they changed it?

It is a 78, the 77 was the last year of big bumpers. I owned a 77, 79,80 Z28...all really good cars for the period.
@@randsonic Wrong, it's a 1979-1981...Look at the dashboard! I HAVE an actual 1978...1970-1978 had the same dashboard...1979-1981 changed their dashboard...I also have a 2015 ZL1...😎

It actually is a 78. Dash was swapped out and seats replaced
Man love the color before the stripes. Oh well. Still a beautiful car.

Hey everyone needs to leave those late 70's early 80's Camaro's alone,as far as trash talk,they're great cars and quick too,that's why i don't understand why car enthusiasts talk them down,no it's not a 69 COPO,but they still move those high emission Camaro's!!
They aren’t the quickest cars but they are a blast to drive

I bought a 78 back in June it has a 396 it’s really clean but the motor took a shit it’s got 2 flat cam lobes
@@yamahaguy1732 damn man...after i drove it away from the seller...it lowkey overheated on me bcus of low coolant which caused a knocking but then again the lady said its been sitting for some years, so i probably fucked up tryna wake up the beast too soon lol
Jwhitecloud it’s nothing but work I bought my 86 k10 a few years ago and it was The same way but after a few years all the kinks are worked out and it’s been problem free for this whole year so far but I feel you on overheating they have the wrong rad shroud in the car so it doesn’t cool well and that coupled with a big block is a little rough I gotta keep an eye on the temp
@@MrJwhitecloud well update on it the 396 went to hell started burning oil and flattened 4 lobes on new cam so I have a 400 stroker for it that makes 500hp so it should be fun when it all goes back together
