I remember the Mario DS bosses as a kid but Eyerok really spooked me
I tried to remember what it looked like before it appeared on the screen to give myself a good excuse for being scared of it
When I finally saw it, it was just a pyramid-textured pair of gloves with eyes 👀

Mario Kart Wii had a Tournament system back when the game was still online.
You would enter these tournaments using the Mario Kart Channel, and they were pretty much time trial meet mission mode, where you would have mission mode objectives like completing a lap, entering rings or defeating a boss, and your time could be registered to the leaderboards (where I'm pretty sure the best players actually won prices!)
