    Look, I’m sorry it happened and no one deserves that, but the moment she escaped the basement incident, she should have never gone near him again.
    I get it- he had compromising photos, but no guy worth while isn’t going to stand by you after you explain the whole story.

    Why nobody thought about resetting her phone btw?

    Okay first red flag, a person that has all the status and money and houses that he alleged to have would not need to be online dating. And second, the police should have been called and restraining orders put in place, his behaviour was very aggressive and he was stalking her. I don't understand why the police weren't notified! He locked her in a basement and raped her! Hello! It was very horrific what happened to her. Her brothers tried to protect her and dropped him off to the airport to keep him away from her! And then she goes to his hotel room??? That was not smart at all and it's very sad how her life ended, but it could have easily been prevented!

    She went though trauma - (got divorced at age of 21). She was brave enough to start a new relationship at age of 28. she was open minded. She did her best to try what she thought was right . She thought he was the right person for her. May her soul rest in peace, our society is scary and hard to trust people. Online dating is hard - God help our generation

    • @chris-in-oceania
      @chris-in-oceania 5 місяців тому +2

      You, your generation, don't have to date on-line, you can do it the way we did, on chance meetings and face to face... have the courage to ask someone out on some chance encounter... or someone you've met through work or a hobby... It takes a whole lot more courage (to face rejection) and you risk missing out entirely (never being able to connect). Those things - courage and missing out - are not something your generation are used to I suspect.

      You just said a whole bunch of nothing. Why was she meeting this man alone who was NOT her husband and had previously harmed her? A drinker and gambler, no less? Why was she flying to another country by herself to see him in the first place 🤦‍♂️? Where was her wali (guardian) in all of this? How did he get INTIMATE PICTURES of her?
      Her "open-mindedness" is why she's not here right now. She should have adhered to proper Islamic etiquette regarding interactions with the opposite sex.

    • @FLOSSYTREADWELL

      Exactly! Sounds like she liked a lot of the attention. After all her family knew what was going on with her phone, male member of her family even threatened to break it but she clearly didn't want that. Phone was full of selfies like any young girl not like that of a modest muslim girl. She clearly knew he had access to these images. Had she not wanted him seeing them she'd have allowed the phone to be destroyed. How hard is it to change your mobile. Any woman looking for a man with money & good prospects is not looking for the right qualities. He spun her stories she wanted to believe. Yes I think she was hanging on for what she thought he had. Those past images he's provided to her with were in that phone & were a constant reminder that he was the wealthy prospect she desired. Her family were stuck between a rock & a hard place wanting to protect her but having to allow her the freedom she wanted. She seemed intent on finding a wealthy mate to suit herself & help her family. So much so that common sense & true affection didn't even figure into her plans. She probably felt her first marriage was based on emotional love & didn't last so now look for financial stability.

      On 12 December 2021, members of Hindu right-wing groups allegedly set fire to Christian religious books in Karnataka’s Kolar district. According to a report by NDTV, this was the “38th attack on religious minorities in Karnataka in the last 12 months”. The report also said that the number of attacks on the community has increased ever since the government started considering a bill to ban forcible religious conversion.
