- The last hike of my 3-day Eastern Sierras hiking adventure. I'm back in the Rock Creek area this time doing the Ruby Lake Trail! The hike is labeled as moderate at a 4.2-mile round trip and 908 ft of elevation gain! The hike starts off going above the Little Lakes Valley Trail, where you get some incredible views. Along this portion of the hike, you get killer scenery of the lakes and mountains surrounding you! After that, you follow a nicely flowing creek till you reach Ruby Lake! Ruby Lake is definitely a very peaceful and beautiful place to end your hike!

Thank you for showing me this lake I haven't been up there and considered it as a backpacking trip. Seeing the little lake valley was beautiful too. Definitely a place without the crowds. ❤️ Beautiful and a great workout

Wow, those views are spectacular. The mountains and the lakes make the perfect combination. These are the types of trails that I like. Looks like you had a wonderful trip! Can't wait to see what comes next!
Oh yeah this was a good hike for me to end my trip with. It wasn't an easy hike but thankfully it wasn't a hard one either. Beautiful weather on top of that makes for a perfect day. Thank you so much Josh and I am really look forward to our hiking adventures as well!

when you said some incredible views, you were right, halfway through when you could see the valley and 3 lakes in one direction and another in the opposite, amazing and then to get to Ruby Lake with its blue green water, another good hike and filming, take care brother

Nice steady hike and the weather looks awesome, completely different to what we got here, I have not been out for two weeks😡. Yep that weather would suit me too, so would that Lake and those views, not that keen on a lot of people there but I could put up with it for those views. Shame you had to drive back home but I bet that hike had left a smile on your face, cheers Alan
Yes sorry the weather has been a little weird up there in the UK. I feel like right now all over the Southwestern United States it's been unseasonably warm everywhere. Yeah this was a pretty magnificent hike and a good one to end my trip with. I did drive back tired but definitely with a big smile on my face. So there is no scrambling involved on this hike. It's just trail hiking. I filmed this in late August and I didn't have any problems with bugs at all on this trip. I don't think I saw any trees growing on rocks honestly. Yeah this would be a really difficult hike to bring a kayak. This is a wonderful part of California I hope you get to visit one day. The last time I was up at Mammoth to go hiking in the fall was five years ago. And that was when I finally hiked up to Ruby Lake (over 11,500 ft in elevation). Breathtaking! ⛰🏃🏽
