It looks like you two already have almost 2,500 subscribers after being online for less than 10 hours. There several good photography yt channels that have been online for years and haven’t broke a thousand subscribers. I think it is great that you have started this channel and your popularity is a credit to the quality of product you produce.
Absolutely love the podcast, your personalities are gonna vibe so well together. If I have one piece of constructive critisim; Jason... speak into the mic!
I also have beef about selling the Pentax 67. Don’t do it Jason! Did think this was a great start to the podcast tho. Love getting some background details and deeper insight into the videos.
Theres some threads online of people changing the film advance sprocket on the fuji 690 to be that of a 670 and having good results. I had an early 690 before I knew this and couldn't fall in love with it and sold it and got the 670ii and it's by far my favorite lens, thank god cause it's fixed.
I sold my GW690iii because the rangefinder patch was too small and it was a hinderance to the whole experience. The camera is phenomenal otherwise, but it was a dealbreaker for me.
I actually just made a video talking about the Fuji GSW 690 so I definitely think its worth getting Jason so definitely pick it up for that LARGE negative
I feel like you guys hit the nail on the head when it comes to talking about how much time it takes to create good content. I feel like the world is full of vampires, they see good content, they consume it. They don't think about how much energy it takes to create it or how stressful that is for content creators. But at the same time as creators we are guilty of that also as no one is holding a gun to our head telling us to create more content... I think it's worse than that though, I think the people of the modern day internet have a really unhealthy obsessive relationship with new content.
Go for the gw690! I just tried one a buddy of mine has and fell in love. Its fun to use, Light, and Massive negitives. t mode is a little wierd for long exposure. (my only gripe) I have a hasselblad 2000fcm and I doubt I will pick it up as much because I just bought a gw690III.
Hey great show. Jason will need more cameras when an earthquake hits the LA area, Like Sylmar, Northridge, etc. with all those cameras sitting high on that shelf unit.
I would advise against Fuji gw690 when you already have Mamiya 7 and Makina. I have GW680III (mint) and while it's nice I'd drop it in a heartbeat for Mamiya or Makina. It's like going from Leica to Canon QL17 Hit me up if you wanna switch 😅 I'm shooting Kowa Super 66 for medium format now.
If you're looking for a 6x9 if you considered the older model, the G690? Same huge negative, but you get interchangeable lenses. And at least from what I've seen slightly better prices. Well until you talk about it on your channel
Thanks for sharing your fun! Love the new channel, and love the mamiyamigo name. May I suggest the solution to your large medium format struggle that would be compatible with your name - try the mamiya press or mamiya universal! A working press camera can take you up to 6x9, down to 6x4.5, thanks to the interchangeable backs. The body is surprisingly light (for medium format), and you can even use 6x9 sheet film backs. Yes, the biggest lens is crazy heavy, but who is going to use the 250mm (except me). Smaller very good lenses are available and reasonable to carry. Old lenses, yes, but good to great. Interchangeable backs with dark slides, take all the kinds of film you want! You can get a press card inserted your cap to justify climbing into those creepy old buildings for photos, really look the part. Buy 10 of the press cameras for the price of one mamiya 7! Give it a try! Sorry I can't loan you one, I'm using them (I have 2 types) all the time (and put away my mamiya 645 and mamiya C220).
Makina is my dream camera but sooooo expensive... :/ Great video and great conversation! As I follow both of you it is awesome to hear you discussing photo-world!:)
Wait Jason Kun is getting the GW690?! I am hyped.... Nikon F3 ....you can buy them in Tokyo saw it today at Camera Shop in Shinjuku its like Film Era F Good F2 Better F3 HOLY SHT thats fantastic! F4 (digital autofocus film) WTF happened F5 GOT MILK GOT BIG F6 DIET SUCCESS! I would probably buy the F6 since its the last camera but since it has autofocus capabilities can use the G glass
Very entertaining podcast. Regarding the Fuji GW690iii, I bought one about 12 years ago basically due to the large 6x9 image it produces. My example is super clean. I keep the GW690iii in my medium format bag along with a Mamiya C330S, Rolleiflex Automat but I almost never reach for the Fuji. My impressions: Although the glass is pristine, I never seem to get super sharp images out of it. I do shoot hand-held so maybe it's user error. I'll give it another chance. The build-in lens shade is flimsy and slides back every time its bumped. Fuji should have figured out how to lock the shade in place with a quick 1/8th turn on a bayonet configuration. The shutter is surprisingly loud for a leaf shutter. And thanks for the comments on the Pentax 67. I've been Jonesing for one but now I think I will pass. I have enough equipment anyway. Well, you can't always have enough, i.e. Kaleb's goal to acquire 13 new cameras this year! Good luck with your new podcast.
This is the most I have ever seen Jason smiling. I thought he was incapable of happiness.
we're all capable of.. some emotion i guess.. if we have a mamiya and an amigo.
Hanibal Lecter smiled
i'm waiting for jason to start asking caleb really offensive questions without showing any emotion
same lmao
The amount of sexual tension is why this has quickly become my favorite podcast
really exited for this new minecraft podcast
It actually turned out quite well, this mix of of subjects and your personalities works well. Carry on please
Baxter Appearance:
32:10
This is hilarious! And also funny how Caleb's face in Caleb's shirt is making funny expressions.
Keep it going! Fun listen.
Only nitpick would be that I feel like Caleb was quite a bit louder than Jason. Gotta account for Caleb's enthusiasm.
Great chemistry, you two should be friends. Here’s to the Mamma Migos!
It looks like you two already have almost 2,500 subscribers after being online for less than 10 hours. There several good photography yt channels that have been online for years and haven’t broke a thousand subscribers. I think it is great that you have started this channel and your popularity is a credit to the quality of product you produce.
Well, they have funnelled subscribets from their own channels so it not like it just happened magically.
I hope you guys get other film UA-camrs on the show. I think that would be dope.
You could look into the GM690 or GL670 if an interchangeable lens rangefinder, or a GF670w for a lightweight camera.
if there isnt an episode that consists of jason & caleb shotgunning a flaming hot mountain dew every 10 minutes, im not interested!
My expectations for this channel are :
- Awkwards silly questions.
- Longs and uncomfortable silences after awkwards questions.
- Apparitions of dog.
Absolutely love the podcast, your personalities are gonna vibe so well together. If I have one piece of constructive critisim; Jason... speak into the mic!
watched the entire thing with a big ol smile on my face
Just realized Caleb's shirt has his own face on it.
them some fighting words about my boy fuji gw690
FM2 FTW! glad to have a tank of a mechanical photon-capturing device for my first film camera🤙
My favorite dynamic duo in film photography
My only thought on 0:52 :
YAAASS QUEEEN get it!
seriously, I want this at every start of an episode
I also have beef about selling the Pentax 67. Don’t do it Jason! Did think this was a great start to the podcast tho. Love getting some background details and deeper insight into the videos.
I listen to podcasts everyday on my way to work and I already know that this will be one of my favorite podcast to listen to
Jason should wear his headphones for the first few minutes so he realizes how quiet he is talking.
I love your voices coming in my ears... i could listen to you both chatting all day.
Look at these two young men, surely they won't say anything morally reprehensible.
Theres some threads online of people changing the film advance sprocket on the fuji 690 to be that of a 670 and having good results. I had an early 690 before I knew this and couldn't fall in love with it and sold it and got the 670ii and it's by far my favorite lens, thank god cause it's fixed.
It’s annoying how good the name Mamiyamigos is. The content, totally not annoying.
I sold my GW690iii because the rangefinder patch was too small and it was a hinderance to the whole experience. The camera is phenomenal otherwise, but it was a dealbreaker for me.
plz make more of theses really enjoyed it
I actually just made a video talking about the Fuji GSW 690 so I definitely think its worth getting Jason so definitely pick it up for that LARGE negative
Oh hell yes.
16x20 camera is only £40? BUY IT.
£40 at a thrift shop.
40lb, 18.144 kilo
I don't know which channel I like more, but it's definitely this one.
BARBECUE MAN. OH MY GOD.
Loved the episode!
YES! I always wanted to listen to you guys talk casually, great chemistry like in ur videos! Congrats on a first (0?) episode 🎉
glad that you guys made this a series 😁
I love the GW690. It's my main camera. It has a really sharp lens and it's 1/4 the price.
Can't wait for the "Solo: A Star Wars Story" episode of your podcast.
Ah yes, my fave po d'cast mami y amigos!
Rodecaster !! I'm running to my ipod to subscribe!!!
Thanks Boys!!
If you’re in the market for a Fuji 690 you should check out the Fuji gl690. It’s fully mechanical rangefinder and the lens and viewfinder are great.
It's also about twice as heavy as the mamiya 7.
Still lighter than the Pentax though.
when i pushed my kentmere it looked basically like hp5 with a tad less latitude. i'll probably buy it a lot more than hp5.
The zeroth episode is a blast! (I just wanted to say "zeroth.")
Glorious. My eyes melted. I can't photography no more.
Closer to the mic, Jason! (But loved it!)
Now that y’all got a hit show. You need some t-shirt swag.
Thumbnail 🔥
oh my word, what is this gold?! 50 seconds in, I'm already lol'ing. Yes to this!
Im so glad this exists.
Best part of the whole setup is the Strange Trails vinyl 🔥🔥
YES! 📷

I did not need to laugh as hard as I did when Jason said "I just keep going to war with it" 😂😂😂😂
The podcast we've been waiting for. I very much enjoyed that. Please continue doing more podcasts whenever you can fit one in your busy schedules.
Yes. Love this. Especially the outro.
A podcast on photography! Yaass! Much needed
Hearing Jason's not UA-cam voice/mic combo brings me comfort for some reason.
Let’s get it on traditional podcast platform, watching the two of you for 30 minutes is numbing to say the least. Great first episode.
Never seen Jason so happy
Yes, 16 x 20 for 2023. After all, there are two of you. (Looking forward to Episode 1.)
loving it fellas
13:18 Just get a Universal press. YeeYee.
You all are fun!
I need the Caleb shirt!
The one on the right looks like the guy from the grainy film photography dog UA-cam channel
soo good. thanks for doing these. interesting to hear some behind the scenes stuff like your favorite vids or talking quality improvements.
Loved it! Looking forward to the next episode!

Good work lads
I hope you guys do another video! I enjoyed it!
Would love to see more, it's nice to see you guys out of the characters you've kinda evolved yourselves into on your respective channels
Hey great show. Jason will need more cameras when an earthquake hits the LA area, Like Sylmar, Northridge, etc. with all those cameras sitting high on that shelf unit.
Dangit i need a small handheld rangefinder dslr to add to the 12 cameras I already own
I love this
Would love to have this on stotify and stuff, as that's how many of us consume our podcasts.
Really awesome guys. Small bit of input: remember to normalize the volume between the two of you. Jason's mic was down on volume compared to Caleb's.
Loved this, you guys! Looking forward to the next one!
Hell yeah, now THIS is the quality content I have been searching for!
Please please add these to some podcast service as well..
working on it 😍

Hit me up if you wanna switch 😅
I'm shooting Kowa Super 66 for medium format now.
Loved it
I follow both of you and dig seeing you together!!!
Hope to see more episodes!
speaking on the quality of your channels, could you go through your set ups for filming and your editing processes ? great podcast btw
Let’s do thiiiis!
LOVE IT!
i loove my gw690, i use one of those doomo light meters. and i also have a mamiya 7 and p67. I like having both a 6x7 and 6x9. The lense is quite good
Loved it!
If you're looking for a 6x9 if you considered the older model, the G690? Same huge negative, but you get interchangeable lenses. And at least from what I've seen slightly better prices. Well until you talk about it on your channel
I really enjoyed your video podcast, Amigos! I loved the topics and casual atmosphere. Keep going! I subscribed 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing your fun! Love the new channel, and love the mamiyamigo name.

Totally
Pentax > Fuji GW. I have the GW670 which was NICE, but the lack of interchangeable lenses becomes a pain
Makina is my dream camera but sooooo expensive... :/
Great video and great conversation! As I follow both of you it is awesome to hear you discussing photo-world!:)
Just two guys casually “shooting together”
Yessss can’t wait to listen to this 🎉
Hey that was fun! Looking forward to E. 1
Mamiya Migos!
Wait Jason Kun is getting the GW690?!

F3 HOLY SHT thats fantastic!
F4 (digital autofocus film) WTF happened

I would probably buy the F6 since its the last camera but since it has autofocus capabilities can use the G glass
