DIY Tokens - A Quick and Fun way to Remember Abilities, Buffs and Spells in Warhammer Age of Sigmar

- Tired of forgetting those all-important buffs and abilities in your wargaming? Especially when new editions launch like Warhammer Age of Sigmar 4.0?
Why not make your own tokens that will both look great on the tabletop and help remind you of which unit got which buff or debuff or which wizard cast which Endless Spell!
It's a fun and easy project that can hopefully improve your gaming life as well.
In this video, I'm looking at tokens specifically for my Seraphon army for Age of Sigmar but this can be applied to all sorts of other armies within AoS and other games like Warhammer 40k.

I done the same with my Nurgle for the last edition, a blightkings shield (rising through nurgle's rot) for defensive buffs, a giant bell for debuffs etc. Awesome paint style btw!

I did something similar for my Gloomspite with having a token for the Bad Moon so it's clear where it is on the board, not felt that I ever needed the reminders but they're cool to have.
That's a great idea and also makes it much easier for the opponent to know where it is.

Tokens are great! Always! I use the toad and the little demon from Cursed City as familiars. I put them next to the caster, enemy unit or friendly unit depending on what spell was used; buff, debuff, etc. (I don't play Warhammer; so this is based on Dragon Rampant's magic system.)

I love this idea! I should really make some tokens for my 40k Adeptus Mechanicus, I definitely need all the help I can get remembering which rules are in effect

GW games are quite rules dense so having reminders is a great idea (just look at the activation tokens that come in Warcry and Kill Team).
I do think that if they are thematic to what they represent and fit in with the look of an Army, no one should have an issue with them.
