  • I used part henna, part cassia to dye my hair a copper red!
The one I've been using is from The Henna Guys! If you place an order use the promo code SARIM10 to get a discount! :) www.thehennaguys.com/?p=B19lQ...
Next time I may use straight henna, but the addition of cassia just lightened it a bit.
Comment below if you use henna and what you add to the mix to get your favorite results.

I tried this tonight and I’m so happy! I used clarifying shampoo and then only left it on for 2 hours (I could’ve waited much longer) and my hair came out an awesome copper red color. I only used conditioner after (without essential oils) and I used Argan oil before I blew dry it. Thanks for this video for giving me the guts to try this! It’s so much healthier for my hair!

Jennifer Florio I saw the pics you posted and it looks great! Did you mix with water or tea? I’ve used green tea and chamomile. Added both Orange juice and lemon juice for acidity! The first couple times it’s good to experiment with what works best. Next time I plan on using henna only.

How long does the color last in your hair only one use ?

I do it every 6-8 weeks, until my roots come in. Then color needs a refresh.

I have a question. I used Lush rouge on my hair that had faded from strawberry blonde to sandy blonde with super light blonde highlights on top. All natural. Lush pretty much looked great underneath, but on top my hair was a bright almost neon orange. It was still in this "orange panic mode" after 2 weeks. I knew every application it would get darker, so I tried Light Mountain Natural red. It's way better than neon orange, but again, underneath looks better, on top is more orangey. It's a darker orange than the first time I did henna, which is better. I'm thinking that although I'm a natural redhead, maybe going red with henna is not for me. Maybe I should've dyed my hair medium brown first. Maybe I should've mixed brown and red. I don't know. Honestly, I got a beautiful vibrant color that matches the pictures I saw online, and even the fox on the box. What do you think will happen if I use LMN medium brown. Will it cover it totally? I guess I should just go for it. It took me over 2 years of researching to finally take the henna plunge. It's nice to have vibrant color. Perhaps if I use medium brown, then later I can go over it with red if I really, really want it to be tinted red.
