How To Repair Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus SD Card Not Reading. Might Fix Problems For Other 3D Printers

- This simple mod fixed the SD card related issues with my Ender 3 S1 Plus 3D Printer. I was experiencing a number of issues that all seemed to be present only when an SD card was inserted into the machine. This led me to believe it was either the card or an issue with the card slot. I thought it might be a connection issue, and since I was going to do it anyway I thought I'd record a quick video.

@@edt1138 I've been watching you for a long long time, I'm up in North East Ohio and we had a great conversation probably 12 years or so ago because you used to deliver I believe you said chips up in the area I was living with at the time haha

I wonder if this fix will work for Nintendo DS slots since I've encountered many that take a few tries to read a cart. It might scuff the cart label though.
Might be worth a try if all else has failed.

Agreed. They mounted the slot upside down, and it is surprisingly fragile.

I had an issue with my 3d printer that seems to be common, but there were no videos addressing this common cause. I thought sharing this might help someone else out.

Really, really tempted to get a 3D printer, mostly to make custom storage and shelves and things. Ironically a big issue would be having room for printer itself... 😄
That probably would have worked.
I bought one several years back for my son and I to learn the hobby together. He lost interest, but I found a creative outlet. I find myself designing, modeling, and printing all kinds of useful stuff.
My first design was a replacement switch for an NEC Turbo Express that had been sitting for years because I somehow misplaced the original and could not find a replacement. That one print paid for the machine.
It would probably cheaper to get free shelves from CL and then "mod" them with other free wood or furniture from CL. It would take a lot of plastic to print shelving which costs $$$.
