In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.

"Your time starts when you're correctly wearing your helmet." So the massive loophole here which nobody realized is that they could have just picked up the second part of the helmet, gone and found the soldier normally, then put on the second part and immediately thrown the paint on him. Their time would be like 2 seconds and it wouldn't have broken any rules of the task as it was stated.
It also never said you failed the task if you ever failed to wear your helmet properly (i.e., immediately took it back off once time started.)
Soldier doesn't start saying your name until the helmet is properly on?
@@chewyguru But once it is on properly, the soldier does start... would he stop if, after Alex started the timer, you were to remove the camera/blindfold? I think, the way the task is worded, he ought not.
@@inoroth2001 it said in the task “you may not remove or tamper with your helmet” which would include the second part of the helmet
That may be why the soldier was wearing camo. If somebody tried to find the soldier before putting the rest of their helmet on, then the soldier can go hide.
Victoria often forgets half the instructions..."why is he saying my name?" She just read that he would repeat her name every 5 seconds.
Victoria on this show is like the perfect combination of intelligence and befuddlement.

Morgana has definitely watched the show. I bet Alex had a VT set up to accuse her of looking, probably a face cam inside the viewer tracking her eye movements or something else.
Her confession clearly caught him off guard, and her "dont blame the horse" comment definitely turned the script around on him.

They could've put the helmet on infront of him
But for all we know Alex could have instructed him to hide in a bush before they put on the helmet, so finding him may have proved to be very tricky. Even the radio may have been turned off before the visor was put on.
Alan should have ended up finding a Marmot yelling "ALAN! ALAN! ALAN!"

Morgana’s honesty (Morgonesty if you will) is truly admirable, even if it means Alex gets the Traditional Way.

I think Desiree should have also got 5 points for being the quickest to do it legit. I don't think Morgana should have been penalised as she probably didn't know she had an advantage, but Desiree deserved a bonus point.

Didn’t Morgana put the front of the helmet on? That part was cut, but we saw the other 4 putting it on without Alex’s assistance

@@FT029 Yes its would be very disorienting. When you normally walk backwards you turn your head to look behind. but in this case you're looking forward but seeing backwards. For people who've walked backwards, or skate backwards, than its quite difficult to adjust quickly to keeping your head forward but telling your body to move backwards.
Like most of us could jog slightly backwards no issue. but its training your head to keep looking forward. I still think the best way to do this challenge would've been to just not put on the helmet until you found the soldier XD

the rule does say "when you're correctly wearing your helmet"... I suppose it didn't say "getting the intended experience from the helmet"

Seeing behind you via a camera would be so much more confusing than just a mirror. The sides would be reversed so that seeing something forward and on the right would not be behind and right like a mirror, but to your left. 🥴
How to trigger motionsickness
That was my EXACT first thought. I'd've just had to do the task fully blind. I don't think Alex wants to get puked on!

Definitely still think it was a little unfair that everyone didn’t get equal points, especially since Morgana could see thanks to Alex lol. I did love this task though. Must have been tough, would have given me a migraine.

What is this building? It feels like a former convent.
Did morgana cheat? Yes. Does it matter? No. If it mattered, they would be getting actors/average joes to compete, not comedians. Half the appeal of the show is watching comedians figure out how to sham out of the task. Al Murry paid Alex to do a task for him. Rhod Gilbert painted a sign on an EXISTING building and called it an extension. Sarah Pascoe bought a camera-man's sweat. Some of the most entertaining bits of the show have been comedians cheating out of the work.
The only reason Rhod Gilbert's sign was entertaining was because of the friction it caused with James Acaster, especially when Phil Wang defected to his team.
You're absolutely right. Especially with Rhod, just goes to show how being on the ADHD spectrum can be helpful for left field thinking
it took me longer than I care to admit to learn this point
once I did, the show became 10x more enjoyable
Are all of the tasks somehow filmed on the same day or do the guests have a set task uniform
in previous seasons they had more outlandish clothes that made it clearer they were wearing uniforms but yeah its not all filmed in one day
They do a few tasks per day but I don't think it's on consecutive days
From Wikipedia, for what it's worth: "Filming tasks takes roughly one day per contestant per episode, filming around eight tasks a day, with the days of filming spread out across several months."
When a fan asked on social media about her pretty dress, Victoria explained that they have to bring 2 identical copies of their task days outfit in case one gets messed up during a shooting day and offered to send that fan the spare dress which was a very sweet gesture.

What is the traditional way?
Time should've never started if Morgana wasn't wearing it properly. And I would have not put it on in order to not start the time.

It never said anything about keeping the helmet on
"You may not remove or tamper with the helmet in any way". However, as a few other people have pointed out, their time only started once they were wearing the helmet properly, so there wasn't really anything stopping them from looking around for the soldier before putting it on.
I don't remember this task
Query, what they put over their eyes was a screen mask, which is separate from the helmet as there is no direct connection. Coms between camera and mask was signal via air. Not a direct connection so putting the mask on was not part of the Helmet.
That is how I saw that.
It was padding to protect their face from the rudimentary 'VR' headset

When you put on a head set you do not put on a helmet first.
A visor is a part of some helmets. I think the wording is perfectly fine

Just for fun I did google VR headsets. They all have a strap that runs over the head and around the back. No helmet.
You're taking it too seriously... the vr headset is not an actual part of any sort of "helmet" but for the sake of this task they're making it part of the whole helmet.

Morgana earned the win regardless. Being able to see behind themselves and getting distracted by the walkie-talkies was what confused everyone else, Morgana just had the confidence to rush through quickly without thinking too much, so she would've won anyway like Alex said. I myself had the same idea, I would've closed my eyes and just started walking towards the sound, ignoring the things there meant to throw me off.
These tasks are becoming so complicated

Not one person walked backwards, what a waste
these bits were so much better than the most recent season. what happened? the most recent season was imo the worst and least creative. also i'm not interested to see art and performance projects. these sort of ones are much more enjoyable. its also fun when the tasks go offsite.
Morgana cheated in this, she was the one who put the goggles on wrong and should have been disqualified for that. Greg was way too kind lol.
But that should have been checked by Alex, but now he is being rightly punished in the traditional way.

Desiree is so awkward and clunky, her voice is so sharp and loud. She’s hard to watch
Victoria is one of them annoying people that believes nothing is her fault. She bickers with others when she makes mistakes as a distraction technique to divert the attention away the fact she's struggling.
Victoria did stand up for Morgana at 10:30 (approx) to voice her concern her that she would be disqualified from the task.
She's a fucking professional poker player, of course she's going to try and bluff
