The thing I love about Guz is; he JUDGED the tasks. If he thought it was cool, he had a blast. If he thought it was dumb, he couldn't be arsed. I respect that. :D
Guz was fantastic on this series, but then again, they were all so good, it's hard for me to pick a favorite. Always have to give credit to the people who are just there to do what they do and have fun.
yes! as the newer seasons have come out, i’ve known fewer and fewer contestants, and i repeatedly think they’re going to be worse, because i don’t know them, but this was one of my favourites ever. in all honestly most of the contestants i knew originally, quite often i end up liking them less
16:31 just because I need a timestamp to "then brother, this is not sensible". Guz is a legend and underrated on the pantheon of Taskmaster contestants.
Guz is aggressively adorable. Endlessly quotable. It's ALL about the way he barks "Alex!" in the ball task, and all the revelations in the lab. 🤣🤣 Bonus point for the way that Desiree's "Fuck me in the face" *literally* floors Alex. 🤣🤣
He's in my top 5 for sure. If I could reinvite 5 previous contestants for a dream team season, it would be Guz, Mike Wozniak, Bob Mortimer, Sally Phillips, and Ed Gamble. I'd call it the "Chaos Series"
@@jacobhuggins7572 I really wanted to add James but I couldn't think of who to replace. I was thinking Sally Phillips but then there wouldn't be any women on for that season 🤷♂️
My favourite Alex reaction too! It's like he didn't expect that detail to be mentioned and trying to hide that they were actually being naughty kids together, which I genuinely believe they did. Alex seems to genuinely crack up the most when it involves guz.
It's kind of indescribable how much positive energy flows from this man. I wonder what it would've looked like if Mike Wozniack and Guz had been on the same series and been teamed up.
Guz is the kind of person everyone wants to be friends with cause he's got such a good-natured attitude and is playful. He was easily my favorite part of series 12, which is saying something since i loved all the contestants.
Slapping the space hopper. Chasing Alex around the house with murderous intent. That sexual groan in the final task. "Yeah, I'll spit on ya hand. BLUGH!!" Guz was an absolute gold mine of memeable moments this series. 😂
I generally get really frustrated with contestants who seem to be unfamiliar with the show before being on, or who half-ass the tasks (especially the prize tasks), but there's something about Guz that won me over from the start. A "best of" Taskmaster would have to include him.
@@egalomon That's exactly it. There's nothing worse than a contestant who is both uncaring and clearly in a bad mood. I don't want to name any names, but a lot of people they've had on clearly are only doing it because their agent told them to, and they look like they'd rather be anywhere else. Guz is clearly having a good time, so he works really well.
@@arielvanmoos7583 Oh goodness. There have been some contestants who have almost ruined the entire franchise for me, because they were clearly there for the check, and there are so many good comedians that would have killed to have had a chance at TM.

What I realised from watching the riddle task again is that if I'm not mistaken, only Morgana got the bonus points for the 'submarine' part, if Guz and Desiree got them too Guz would have won, so Morgana got 3 points for doing pretty much nothing outside the first 15 minutes while Guz and Des struggled with a riddle for an hour. Seriously this would be a top 5 season if it wasn't for Morgana being so blatantly favouritzed. Noel Fielding is also the same but at least he had his moments of brilliance, such as the camouflage, dominating the sandwich delivery task, snapping the cue etc.
@@iliketrains3495 Guz got 10 points in a live task, and he got 4 points on a team task where he did nothing but eat a chocolate button, while the others actually did a task.
@@OwlRTA I forgot about those at the time. While only Morgana could get the 2 bonus points in the riddle task and those were added on to her performance in the actual task where she didn't do much besides have some of the code (although credit where it's due, she did come up with the idea of having Desiree and Guz stand in their doorways so they could both see the map)

Guz’s jingle reminded me of most of the perfume and cologne ads you see here in America. Where Chris Evans rides in on a motorcycle and goes into a bar where a bimbo drapes herself over him. Or when they play a lady Gaga song with ladies dressed in gowns.
I can't think of a hoppity hop without thinking about the South Park episode Medicinal Fried Chicken. I had the music as a ringtone for a while, Randy Marsh is so happy bouncing on his balls.
"There's been another revelation in the lab." Those three are the gold standard of Taskmaster teams!
Inconceivable!
