They were probably placed in the caravan deliberately at the beginning of the filming cycle because this task was on the docket. If anyone pulled a James Acaster and actually paid attention to their surroundings, they could have potentially used them here.
@@jamiegdubois Desiree used videos on a phone, so I'm fairly sure they could have brought up the TV show on it and shown it to someone in the lab. EDIT: And I just heard Alex say this very thing.
This is one task I know I could win since, whether it's a wind chill or a particularly moving song, I am perpetually on the edge of getting goosebumps.
The producers realised (too late) that Ol' Goosebump Arms would be at a clear advantage on this task. No wonder they did not award her her due points, what a swizz.
I submit that Alex using Old Goosebump Arms, and everyone knowing who he is talking about stands as the verification that she should be awarded 5 points and first place for this task. Add to that, the fact that it is so tied to her, Lord Greg only knows her by that name now. "Victoria and Gus... Who? Old Goosebump Arms and Gus"
Exactly how retroactive would the awarding of points be for Ol' Goosebump Arm? Enough to warrant an edited post-script onto the existing episode perhaps? I think we could make this happen.
'Tonight's top story: The Taskmaster Points Reconcilliation negotiations have again broken down with both sides adamant that they have no further concessions they are willing to consider. The mood had seemed hopeful only a week ago, as the negotiations entered their 11th year.'
I am actually most surprised how little the contestants know their body. I have three sure ways of getting goose bumps on command. Getting chilled is the long winded one, scratching around my back, there are a few great spots. Or running a feather or something light to the touch on certain parts of my skin, but I know exactly how and what. Takes just seconds. Very interesting task!
Maybe they do know their body. I can only get goosebumps if I'm cold. I'm reading all these comments about various ways people get goosebumps and now I'm wondering if I'm the weird one or if yall are. Lol
Lots of music that I like give me massive goosebumps, is this weird? I paused the video after I heard the task, searched for Aniron and skipped ahead a little. I had goosebumps all over my arm (and down my back and leg) after like 20 seconds. I also tried with Gollum's Song (LotR), For the Love of a Princess (Braveheart), Across the Stars (Star Wars), The Wheat (Gladiator). Some of these I have massive goosebumps after less than 10 seconds, all of them in less than 30 seconds.
Am I the only one who can make myself get goosebumps just by thinking about it? It's like a wave from my neck that you sort of pulsate down towards your arms and lower body. I can only do it a few times before I need to recharge and wait a few minutes in order to do it again. And it can't be too hot outside either.
I read the title and figured out I can get goosebumps on command. Its not warm today though lol. I just think of how a good song makes me feel, instant chills.
All I have to do is very lightly brush my fingers along my arms or back and I get instant goosebumps. I do it to myself all the time cause the "tingles" feel good.
My initial thought was to jump in the shower, stand under water as hot as you can, make sure to get your hair really wet, then run outside. If you don't think the goosebumps will last for you to get back in the lab, take a picture while inside and show it in the lab.
Please do a Taskmaster fan favorite/redemption series where contestants that did not win but were well liked are voted upon by fans and can compete again. Maximum one person from a series. For example, my ideal lineup is: James Acaster Mel Giedroyc Nish Kumar Mike Wozniak Asim Chaudhry Please consider this!
My first instinct was "music will probably play a role in this task". I can now say that it took me two other choruses before, but the one in "Mother We Share" from Chvrches got me the intended goosebumps.
I think I could have given myself goosebumps by just listening to music. "In your words" by Lamb of God gets me every time :). Also "Dark Beach" by Pastel Ghost has been doing it for me lately too.
I can give myself goosebumps on command, I just have to think of "my heart will go on" playing over that scene in game of thrones when Jon snow and his crew are on the island in the frozen lake and the white walkers are coming then danaerys comes in with the dragons and saves the day
Those people never experienced someone scratching their fingernails on a board? Boy, my hairs would collectively try to flee the scene immediately, followed by my nails.
i would go get my phone and play a song or youtube videos that give me goosebumps. you need loud and good headphones but i could win that within a minute

I just would've listened to a sad song (probably hold on by chord overstreet) or breathed through my nose onto my arm while thinking about sending a shiver down my spine
I tweeted Old Goosebump Arm asking why she didn’t play “In Paradisum” or “Nessun Dorma” on her phone. She responded she thinks about that often and that she would have chosen Whitney Houston’s rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
This is the only challenge I've ever tried to do, just to see if I could win or not. It took me 35 seconds. Pulled out my phone and put on one of my favorite songs. lol
It would take me 1 second, just thinking about biting on a sliding aluminum foil or a fork gives me bad kind of goosebumps instantly, even as I write this comment.
I love it that they prepared a collection of Goosebumps books in case one of the contestants was a creative genius.
They were probably placed in the caravan deliberately at the beginning of the filming cycle because this task was on the docket. If anyone pulled a James Acaster and actually paid attention to their surroundings, they could have potentially used them here.
Literally my first thought was, “okay, where can I find a copy of Goosebumps?”

I’m sure those books are the reason we in 🇬🇧 now say ‘goosebumps’ instead of the classic ‘goose pimples’.
A creative genius WITH photographic memory

I know!
It’s a way better episode title than the one we got!
@taskmaster
You'd have to laugh if this name stuck

I did not get this task. I can get goosebumps at will, and it takes me one second. Until I saw this task, I honestly thought everyone could do that.
If I just rub my hands over my upper arms or back or shoulders I get them.
For me, it's even just _thinking_ about snakes.
Good to see ol' goosebump arms on the show tonight.
I appreciate Alan still having the dignity image on both his jumper AND his T-shirt
Best jumper I’ve ever seen!!!
You can tell he went to Gudger College!
I think OGA made a valid point there when she suggested that you can garner a reputation retroactively.
Am I the only one who can give myself goosebumps on command by making a shiver run down my spine? Gives me goosebumps all over my legs
Well, being able to make a shiver go down your spine is impressive, so....
I can as well!
I give myself goosebumps super easily as well by doing the same thing
Me too! This was so easy. I can get it in seconds
I was trying along with them and all it took was imagining nails running down a chalkboard
“As you know, we have cameras all over the place. Here’s how Morgana achieved her goosebumps.”
Where?
The mere thought of the sound of nails on chalkboard and I'm all set on goosebumps
for me it's the mere thought of someone biting an ice lolly. easy 2 seconds tops
We're lucky that "Ol' Goosebump Arm" has stuck as a nickname for Victoria, but we're even more lucky "Ol' Drippy Crack" has not for Guz
Best comment!
I have always been a huge fan of old goosebump arm

Unlikely.

At the elderly age of 96....
"Grandma, why were you called 'Ol' Goosebump Arm in the early days?"

Goosebumps in Dutch is called kippenvel - or chicken skin. So I think it counts.
