It's very true. I'm hoping more people around the world joining in to save and keep memories of Palestine alive, in any cost. When they want you to forget then the act of rebellion is to remember.

I guess when Israel limiting picking of za’atar as Palestinian identity and occupiers consistently demolishing olive trees and Palestinian food called as Mediterranean food is a part of culture erasure.. i pray Palestinian would able to cook and have a feast like everyone without wondering where to get or how much the cost of the ingredients..

I admit that until recently, I didn't know life in Gaza was so vibrant. I guess I just ignorantly assumed everything there was sad and bleak due to the blockade. Ms. El-Haddad is absolutely right that this is a reductionist and dehumanizing way to think about a place and a people. Thanks for helping educate me... I will check out the cookbook!
