I love your approach that it’s OK to do what you like (and to make mistakes, LOL), but at the same time, you explain a rationale so that clayers can understand what and why you do something. I’ve been a PC hobbyist for almost 20 years, and am mostly self-taught.
BTW, am very curious as to the origin of the name, “Turtle Soup Beads.” I have pet box turtles and I honestly think that the first time I watched one of your videos, it was because the name “turtle” caught my attention.

Susan this looks like a fun project to do. I have a question. What type of clay do you prefer when making canes? Let’s say in the Sculpey line. (That’s the only brand I use).
Thanks for this video! I’m excited to make some cutter canes, I really want to make monogram canes... I wonder how difficult that’d be?

    • @turtlesoupbeads751

I recently got a used pasta machine and for some reason it doesn't have numbers on the dial. Is 1 the thickest setting or the thinnest? I assumed it was the thinnest but you said you did the black on 1 and it looks thick. The one I got is heavy and well made so I'm assuming it's older from a time when the quality of things was more important. It has 8 settings.
