He was out of line on more than one occasion, and deserved to be harshly admonished for it, which he seemed to have dodged. Very patient judge, it seems. But he has, for the most part, nothing to work with. It’s just a tough case. So looking at it from that light, or if you or I were his client- I’d say I’d want the same vim and vigor from my defense attorney.

He’s really well spoken and his closing argument sounded really good but it didn’t convince me she’s innocent. I want to see the Adelsons pay for this too. So glad to see they have Charlie adelson now.
Yeah, lots of bluster, little substance. But in his defense, no pun intended, he doesn’t have much in the way of a defendable position to work from, either. With that said, I think he did a fantastic job working with what he had.

Many mothers give up their kids for $0 and a guarantee they'll never see them again. It's called a closed adoption. So, that $0 is "no amount of money" but there are also many mothers who actually do sell their kids. I'm only bringing this up because I think it's stupid how much emotional nonsense gets thrown in to opening/closing arguments that would never be allowed during the trial itself. Another example is the obviously false story about the bullseye arrows on the side of a barn that this defense attorney told the jury in Part 1. That never happened. He may have believed his father when he was told that story as a child, but he's smart enough to know now that the story is allegorical and not factual.
There is no amount of money an active, engaged, caring, loving mother would take and sacrifice never seeing her children by means of going to prison for life.
This lawyer is incredible. Love the looks he gives the prosecutors. He made me believe she is clean. She was being used by Charlie so well. All of her calls and texts were all explained she just happened to be trying to get ahold of her husband for other things unfortunately it was during the murder timeline. The hubby needs to tell who he got the job from, Wendi, Charlie or the parents.

this closing argument is what lead to the jurors deadlock -prosecution desperation I agree 3 years in solitary confinement if ever acquitted must sue the state for millions of dollars -no mother will risk her freedom to be with her children it's really not possible for a mere 50k plus if it doesn't fit you must acquit that famous line by attorney Cochran

Prosecutor Georgia didn't grill Wendi as much as katherine as he says because Georgia is still building a case against Charlie, Wendi and her parents..Im sure she will get her time..Shes an excellent lawyer. Can't wait for Charlie's trial in October 2023.
He's very good. It's apparent there are holes in the prosecution's case. I, myself, question the level at which the defendant was actually responsible for any involvement she had. I think it was Charlie pulling the strings, and it went deeper into making the deal himself with the shooter. After all, the shooter had a love relationship with the defendant, which in my mind eliminates the defendant, and puts her into the same bargaining as the murder itself. I feel she shouldn't have received a life sentence.
Defense attorney is a very fine attorney. Some of the evidence does look like she might be involved. I’m not positive. For me the prosecution didn’t prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. My vote would be not guilty.
The prosecutor proved it to me, tons of evidence and she was correctly found Guilty, along with Rivera and Garcia, now it's Charlie's turn in October, then hopefully his mother, father & sister Wendi are all charged with this big conspiracy to murder. Only then will Mr Markels family have full justice.
Katie and Charlie had this talk already . If Katie gets arrested charlie will make sure her kids are taken care of . He probably put a million dollars a side for them and they will get it when they're old enough to know what to do with it. This is the reason why Katie hasn't talked yet . If she gets off you better believe Charlie will be giving her that money in cash.
I just had a good buddy of mine do 4 years hard for insider trading. He coulda testified against his boss for a reduced sentence but chose not to and was committed a pot of gold at the end of his rainbow. Of course his old boss turned his back on him and hasn’t spoke to him in 2 yrs post release. This Markel murder is a complete mess and everyone guilty is going down including papa bear.

There aren’t a team (from my understanding). Each defendant has his/her own defense team.
