Time is slow when you wait, fast when you are late, short when you are happy, long when you are bored, endless when you are in pain, and deadly when you are sad, Every Time, time is determined by our feelings and our psychological conditions, not by clocks, so Always remember to have a nice Time...

Uhm, Pink Floyd... Absolutely! Zep, nah. Average (except for JPJ, who was the brains behind them). And there's no comparing the two. PF was far, far ahead of Zep in every way. Song writing, live performances, musical talent.

Chris T I love them both but LZ has far better musicianship at all instruments and vocals than Pink Floyd.
Pink Floyd’s major strengths are imagination and original songwriting. All the singing is weak, and the drumming could be replaced by a drum machine.

    • @DonHaka
      @DonHaka 5 років тому +23

@@peacefulruler1 Floyd is beautiful, thoughtful, introspective and timeless whilst LZ is pretty much dogshit rocknroll for braindead people. The only actually talented musician in LZ was JPJ. Jimmy Page is sloppy and not a good guitar player at all. Bonham was an incredible drummer but thats it. Robert Plant is just not the awesome singer that people make him out to be. He has no class and he is pretty much just loud. JPJ was a better bassist than Roger Waters, but Waters never aimed to be a bassist, but a lyricist and songwriter. Floyd often had Gilmour or Snowy White play bass on the records and live.
As for the difference in drumming, Nick Mason plays for the song. He isnt some incredible drummer, but he always does what fits perfectly for the song in question.
Everyone in Pink Floyd played for the songs. In LZ they just played for the sake of showing off and not really serving the song. The only song that i do not get tired of listening to by them is Fool In The Rain, but thats just because of the Piano and Drum parts.
Led Zeppelin is JUST a rocknroll band.
Pink Floyd is on a completly different level. I can't find the right words for what they are, but they are far better musicians than the entirety of LZ.

      DIDUKNOWDAT .URANIDIOT?
Dark Side of the Moon is pure genius. However, all the rest of their albums are mediocre. If they never had Dark Side they wouldn’t even be famous.
Please list Pink Floyd’s 3 best songs.
Floyd beat to death the thing about Syd Barrett; they’re the ones who kicked him out of the band and basically discarded him. To try and make like they loved and cared about him was the hugest hypocrisy.
None of the Floyd musicians are above average. The drumming and bass playing and singing are all club musician level. The main thing they brought is originality and imagination. The talent and skill were often borrowed from sax players, vocalists, and friends talking in thick accents.
I can tell by your rudeness that you’re just a kid. You’re not old enough to realize that Led Zeppelin created THE pattern for heavy rock that nearly everyone else copied. I can also tell that you don’t know the depth of the songs on their albums.
Page and Jones were studio musicians on many 60s hits before Floyd ever formed. Bonham invented heavy rock drumming, and Plant invented the long haired open shifted lead singer persona.

This song has a great great message. If you are teen or below 25 years of age. Don't waste your time thinking you are young and life is long. Because one day you will find years went by just like that and you couldn't do anything you wanted.

My 64th Birthday and I am listening to this song once again. It had an entirely different effect on me at 15 than it does now." The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death" Time becomes precious, and you find " ten years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun." Great song, and PROFOUNDLY TRUE. Time slips away and you can never get it back. I would give 5 years off my life to have my babies back in my arms for 5 minutes again. Take time to enjoy every breath as it is fleeting my friends.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
    Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
    Far away, across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spell

I just have to thank God !!! After 12 years in the queue for an organ can be blessed. I am at home super happy recovering from the organ transplant (which was successful) and listening to my favorite bands, which was fundamental for the construction of my character and my principles and ideals. Pink Floyd, led zeppelin, metallica, Iron maiden among others that I enjoy a lot were my great therapists in these difficult times of my life, I just have reasons to thank. Rock still lives!

I never got to see Led Zeppelin, I was a little too young to see them when they were still together and touring but being able to see Pink Floyd in my early 20’s in B.C. was definitely one of my all-time favorite concerts and a close 2nd to being able to see The GREAT Led Zeppelin.

I am 30 now and listen to pink floyd since i am 10. I remember the times every Sunday my dad put in the vinyl of the wall and we kids are listened to it. We loved it. Even if we couldnt understand what the songs are about. On one day my dad asked me if i wanna see the wall the film. And i was shocked and fascinated of it. That was the first time of 50 i guess that is saw this masterpiece. At the age of 16 i found other pieces of pink floyd like "time" and "alans psychedelic breakfast". I am so happy that my father showed me pink floyd and shared his youth with me true this music and the stories about it. Like his wild times with women and the shit he had to deal with these days in germany. But this all makes me sad too because in one day he will be a memory too. like his youth.
BUT.. i got that shit on vinyl. And Dark Side of the moon too. White.

    Lyrics
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.
So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.
    Home
    Home again
    I like to be here
    When I can
    When I come home
    Cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones
    Beside the fire
    Far away
    Across the field
    Tolling on the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spell
