- MY MEDICAL ISSUES. I have POTS Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system (including my heart) and causes me to faint among other symptoms. It comes from EDS Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Among other medical issues. I do have PTSD as well from childhood sexual assault that lasted over 10 years. But my fainting is related to my POTS and I can faint anytime, anywhere that I have been standing or walking too long. Basically my heart doesn't pump my blood right and it pools in my legs and I pass out.

I want to thank you for posting all these on youtube. Us general public don't know the laws or rules when it comes to service dogs. I've always told my children that there is a "working dog" (as we call them) and we do not touch them or bother them b/c they are working to help someone.
But a appreciate learning all that you go through on a daily business, learning the laws and just seeing all you have to deal with just to do what do and have not a care in the world. Thankyou for teaching us.

I have a friend with engsity problems which it look hard to deal with but it seems you have gotten better with your engsity and bc of that u seem a lot happier also your kid seems to make you happy and I'm glad. also sry I can't spell to well

kavita deva I think the dog is wondwring the same thing. Poor dog
His shoes are to protect his pads/feet And his harness plays many roles telling people what he is and forms as a way to control him not that he needs it. And the fleece under neath is probably because it's cold. It's his PPI basicly. He needs to say safe and healthy to look after her.

I began binge watching your videos earlier this week after having a massive migraine triggered by a screaming child in my grocery store. My migraine caused a dizzy spell, and I nearly fell. Ironically, I was buying more ear plugs for when I'm out in public.
I've thought a lot over the last 6+ months about getting a service dog to help with my weekly migraines, as well as help me with my ptsd from an abusive childhood, and anxiety that makes finding a job impossible.
I was sure I'd never be able to afford the expensive training required for a service dog, but after watching your videos and how you trained Max, I feel confident in my own abilities to train the perfect dog.
Now I just need to do a lot more research (I'm also ocd do I can't get a service dog until I've done as much research as possible) and then I'll visit my local shelter.

Vivian Wellborn find a trainer who can come to you. Being on home turf will help with the new person. Also try and do a lot of the training yourself. With psychiatric dogs it makes it easier for them to detect your behaviors that show you have an attack coming on. Also it helps make a better bond wich is VERY needed in a psychiatric service dog. Figure out you physical queues and teach them to do alerts based on those. A trainer can help you. Also there are a lot of videos from handlers that can show you how the trained their dogs for specific tasks.

But if I have my SD which is a 10lbs chihuahua than all of a sudden I’m everyone’s best friend haha

Service Angel Lillie How would you get a service dog? I have been thinking about getting one for a while now because I suffer with bad anxiety. I have the rarest form of autism which is Aspergers Syndrome. I also suffer from sensory overload. When I go out I always have to go with someone. I never go out alone.
Lauren Kay Wiseman You could go through a organization, or owner train. But if you have no experience with training dogs, than I suggest an organization. If you owner train- it would take 1 1/2-2 years to train it

The only thing that I would say about having A PSD for anxiety is that sometimes have a SD for anxiety can actually make you more anxious.

How do you train for forward momentum pulling? When I stop Lillie does to and I can’t figure out how to train her to keep walking on command for forward momentum.

So, I have severe anxiety and depression. I see a therapist once a week and am on medication for them. Although, I’m not on disability for them. I have HORRIBLE panic attacks. I wake up out of my sleep having them.. my husband sometimes don’t wake up to help me calm down. (He is the only one that can calm me down. But we can’t be together all the time.) I have them when I’m in public alone, at home alone, at work, etc. at any given moment I could have one. Yes I still have to work. Although I recently quit my job because of having panic attacks there. Basically it’s a daily challenge to get up and do things. I also dont always wake up from my attacks. And it’s very scary. My question is, would I qualify for having a Service Animal? I don’t want to get one and it cause any problems for others who need one. I’ve asked several other people the same question and no one ever answers me. Please help me!
When I have my attacks I literally can’t do anything but lay there for a good 30-45 minutes. My husband doesn’t like to leave me at home alone.
Might be a good idea. Do you enjoy working with animals and does the presence of one calm you down? How much time/money can you devote to training or having a dog trained? Are you able to set a time for both your needs and taking care of the service dog?
Making sure that your answers to these questions align with your priorities and finding a dog of the right physical and mental makeup for work is essential.
Just remember that the animal has needs too, and that making the decision to get a service dog will bring more responsibilities for you, even if it does help emotionally/medically.

I would be able to train my own dog if I was to get one. And my moms boyfriend has a lot of experience in training dogs so he could help me learn how. And I love animals.i just didn’t want to not qualify for one and it cause problems for others who need one. But my husband and I both agree it would be a good idea.

The reasons she gave was that the marriage was toxic and that her husband Chase is an alcoholic. The person who is with her in the video is her new boyfriend Austin. She said she has known Austin since she was a teenager.

This is a perfect clip and really shows how a service dog does what they are supposed to do and despite the distraction, he's right on point. Thank you so much I'm thinking about getting a service dog because I can no longer safely go outside to anywhere without a wheelchair because my blood pressure is so unpredictable and walking is hard and passing out. I've lost a sense of Independence from my diseases and it would be nice to be able to go somewhere as simple as the local store without having to have someone push me in a wheelchair. I'm capable of walking but I become tired so easily and I don't want to be a burden to people so I dont complain. Also considering its an invisible illness as some people put it ( people are judgemental ) because some days I can walk and other days I can't .You having an animal and tune and they recognize before you do that you're crashing is a big deal , as you know. I have a German Shepherd at home they keeps an eye on me but he's not service dog material but he still my baby. I supported you and I will continue to watch and be educated. Much love.

Your dog is very well trained and behaved, he's doing his job and people should stop complaining about him being in public places (Referencing to the video of Max not wearing the service jacket, again it's coming to summer and dogs get very overheated and other service dogs don't always wear jackets but keep ignoring those uneducated people).

I also suffer from POTS and EDS, and it has been quite a struggle to get my school to recognise the severity of it. I was diagnosed quite recently after having a tilt-table test (even though I am under the recommended age). But due to lack of sleep and lack of focus when symptoms are occurring, my school have given me a smaller timetable focused just on my GCSE’s.

We can't always get what we want and we have to learn to live with it you're smart Dom you're a great Mom who knows exactly how to teach your child manners. I give a lot of credit to you and to your mama for teaching you manners too. Keep up the good parenting no matter what people say about ignoring or anything else they know nothing. Good brace Max!

Samtaplet I think that she said in a live video that she has full physical custody of their son Liam but they are both co-parenting. She also said in the live video that he was staying with his dad for the night.

When you are in a store how do you film without getting in trouble? I live in Utah and in Downtown Salt Lake City. I am legally blind and use a power chair. It is hard for me to look up lots of laws and wanted to know what you have to do when you are in public?
It is a constitutional protected activity . Anyone can legally film in public.
Why is max wearing snow dog booties
They are for the tile floor, it can hurt an animals paws walking on ground like that 24/7 and since Max IS walking 24/7 he needs to have his paws in shape
Also sometimes when the ground outside is really hot

His paws can get tired, scratched up, rubbed raw, or very hot. He is a service dog, meant to be on his pawd at all times unless he is sitting or lying down.
