    I don't know how you can remain so calm after fainting in public. I'd be flipping out in dramatic fashion (as any self-respecting Leo rising would). Seriously though, your strength and grace always amaze me. Praying for you to feel better friend.
    PS- Simon has the most comforting eyes. Every POTSie needs a Simon.

      Thank you so much!! 🥹🐕‍🦺❤️ and I’m so used to it now after 5 years of syncope in college, in public, etc from my pots & so far so that helps but I still get pretty on edge when I wake up especially if someone is close to us or trying to distract Simon while I’m ptfo, and haha I totally agree every potsie need a Simon or version of him he’s so good I’m so proud of him & thankful to have him! ❤️ sending love and spoons to you as well!

    Excellent work guys! I also have a POTS dog, he’s made it possible for me to live alone and go shopping without as much fear. What would we do without them? 😊 Question: Often when Baron alerts and does DPT across my thighs it causes me to pass out for moment, but then I quickly recover. It seems the pressure makes it worse for just a second, but then it helps me recover much faster? 🤔

    I’m also curious, do you wear compression garments daily? I have pots and I don’t get out of bed without first donning my heavy duty compression socks. I wondered if you usually wear them?

    • @ChronicallyLindsay
      @ChronicallyLindsay  Рік тому +2

      I will occasionally wear compression socks, a lot of times when I wear tight leggings it helps a little bit but yeah I do use them but not really on a daily basis atleast right now

      I have several pairs of thigh high lace up boots that help. I also have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, so certain fabrics can’t touch my skin. Lacing the boots tightly on top of socks I can wear can really help though! I also have piles of corsets, though they’re a pain to wear with pants for bathroom breaks. They’re excellent with skirts and dresses though, maybe they can help you?😊

    I just came across your channel, did you train Simon yourself and is he a black lab?

    • @ChronicallyLindsay
      @ChronicallyLindsay  Рік тому +1

      Yeah! I can do a video on all of his tasks, I’m gonna wait till we finish training a few more, service dogs are constantly training to keep up with their skills and to take on new ones! This video shows a lot of his most common tasks like retrieval, dpt, hr alert, forward momentum, counter balance, etc we’re working on orbit, block, and heavy breathing response in this video 😊❤️

    Does he just lay on you for the deep pressure or is there other movement our untrained eyes don't see? It was amazing to see!

    • @ChronicallyLindsay
      @ChronicallyLindsay  Рік тому +2

      He lays on me a certain way so that his body weight is as much on me as possible, he will also lick my hand/neck to help keep me awake (we’re still shaping that) but hope that answers your questions! DPT may not look like a lot but it’s SO helpful with my syncope episode prevention and recovery :)

    Aww simons the sweetest. i was kind of desperately wondering, what do i do for my first cardio appt? im so scared. already been basically diagnosed by another doctor but need the official diagnosis. im only fifteen and its been such a relief to know whats going on but ive been feeling so alone... nobody really understands what im going through. any advice for the appt? thanks :)

    • @ChronicallyLindsay
      @ChronicallyLindsay  Рік тому +2

      Thank you! :) My biggest piece of advice is to advocate for yourself! Make sure you speak your mind and don’t let any doctor be little, or gaslight you into thinking nothings wrong especially when/if you feel it in your gut and have already had a verbal diagnosis from another doctor which I also recommend mentioning to the cardiologist, as well as just being as detailed as possible when talking about any symptoms/daily struggles you’ve been experiencing. All of that should help give the doc the big picture, I hope that helps some!

      @@ChronicallyLindsay thank you! I’ve been having a hard time with doctors trying to diagnose me but I have all the symptoms luckily I don’t faint too often but I get dizzy very often and I have to closely watch my heart rate
