Hello Ayivi. Nice to see that you re- purposed the cardboard boxes. It can be viewed as an environmentally responsible act. Also just noticing the laundry room. Altogether, superb finishing touches to a great project!
Hey @Richard Latse, thank you for stopping by. Glad you have watched this video. Environmentally responsible, I agreed...and thanks for pointing that out. As always, your compliment is much appreciated. Have a blessed day🙏🏾
Hi @Gloria Chinebuah, thank you! Thanks for dropping your comment. When ready for occupancy, family and I will stay here when visiting Lomé, Togo. The house will also be available for short-term rentals. You know I can not afford my dream house 😂. A bit more background, this is where I departed from for the States many moons ago, right after 6th-form. This area was virtual uninhabited back then. Sibling is building next door and the university is close by. @Gloria Chinebuah, hoping to see you back here soon. Stay blessed 🙏🏾 .
Watching from Dubai....I'm never disappointed. Tiles selection is Unique. Different area with different tiles, this brings beauty. Each room is uniquely different. You have preempted my thought into reality. Mr. Ayivi, your a gem. Regards Mr.Bright from Bright&Clara's channel
Hello Mr Bright, thanks for tuning in and thank you for the kind words. I am anticipating it's use for short-term rentals. As such, high human traffic. That is why it is pre-dominantly porcelain on the floor indoors. EC Slabs Marfil in the living, dining and kitchen break the monotony of porcelain with wood finish throughout the indoor spaces. Mr Bright, be safe in Dubai and please come again 🙏🏾
Hi Brother Ayivi! Thank you for the update. Everything is coming along well and the cleanliness of your site proves that an efficient and clean building site is achievable. Thank you for informing us about the costliness of materials etc and how it can impact the building project. I appreciate your honest and transparent approach to a common problem. Your willingness to be flexible and make adjustments as needed is commendable. YAH continue to bless you. Shalom
Hi @Yenko Africa, you are welcome. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch and comment. Write ups through comments often times make one think more about the project, leading to clarity of purpose and follow-up action items. Windows will be next. Waiting to see if the contractor will deliver on time. Meanwhile, there is a good amount of dust in the atmosphere settling on surfaces requiring regular sweeping and cleaning. I grew up in Ghana and Togo. Back then, I was not aware of the amount of dust there is in the atmosphere. Did you experience the same in Ghana? @Yenko Africa, I hope you are doing well in SC. Thanks for stopping by. God bless🙏🏾
@@AyiviTV Good Morning Brother. Well said. I also hope that the window guy is able to deliver as requested and on time. Even if there is a slight delay, you are still making great progress. Yes, I certainly did experience a lot of dust in Ghana. The dust is extremely heavy during the Harmattan season. It is wonderful that you grew up in both countries and were free to travel between the two without hindrance. It still bothers me greatly that the borders between the two countries still remain closed. Let me not go there. 🤦🏾♀️ Thank you for the hopes of wellness. I am doing well by YAH's grace. We have gotten through our rainy season in the coastal southern states and things have warmed up nicely. In a recent video, you mentioned being in the US. I hope that you are also experiencing great weather. Continued blessings and peace to you. 🙏🏾👍🏾
Hi @Yenko Africa, thank you for the info on harmattan and dust. Looked it up on google. You are spot on. Some relief is on the way. Hopefully beginning in mid-March. Yeah, very unfortunate that the border has been closed for quite some time. You know my people. For a fee there are soo many alternate crossing points along the porous border. Yes, I do not disclose my location on YT. However, yes! Spring is in the air. Thanks a bunch for your response. Have a blessed work week 🙏🏾
@@AyiviTV Good Evening Brother Ayivi. Yes, the alternate routes are there. Hmm. Even when the Togo Ghana border is opened, I never speak when crossing that border. You would think I were mute. 🤐🤐 Hmmm.. I saw something happen that border nearly 20 years ago and it has had a lasting impact on me. 😲😮😯🤐 Hmm. So, no hurries or worries in life. I am a pilgrim, stranger, and sojourner on the earth. Concerning being discreet online, I agree that it is the best policy for both on and offline. It has only been in recent years that I have even revealed my state and that has been with purpose and necessary intent. YAH bless you and enjoy your week Brother. 🙏🏾
Hi @marvelous sweet411, thank you for the compliment. This place will likely be for short-term rentals. You are always welcome to consider a stay when we are open for guests. Please, do come again 🙏🏾
@Pro You Services Ltd, good question. Some are published close to recording. Those that I record while I am on location are delayed. On location involves me travelling trans-continentally. So those vids are recorded by me, accumulated and edited when I get back to home-base with a delay. Thank you 🙏🏾
Hello @G D, thanks for tuning in. Great question. Tile spacers were not used. Most grout on the market here and elsewhere are cement based. The tiler used cement based grout for all the porecelain with wood finish. For the Ecoceramic Slabs, a product called "Carojoin" (beige) will be used. Carojoin contains hydraulic binders, fillers, resin and other additives. Note, most tile joints in the video had not yet been grouted. @G D, thanks for the question. Please come again🙏🏾

Wow! Another great video documenting the steady progress of the construction of your dream house back home from abroad on a shoestring budget!
