Can't believe that, in 2023, people are still stuck on, and chasing speed? Pretty much every compound bow brand have been hitting speeds high enough to get the job done for like a decade now. I think this insane speed war has caused people to lose sight on what's most important for a bow. It's accuracy dummies! Actually 1st Comfort 2nd Accuracy 3rd Consistency 4th Speed I put comfort first, because if your not comfortable with the bows feel and weight and grip and draw, then your never going to make it through the rest of the list.
I'm running the SS34, so I was pulling for that to take the #1 spot, but Hoyt is for sure a shooter. The speed is definitely an advantage over BT SS34, without the sacrifice on draw cyzle...Great review Keep up the solid work!

Nice review and comparison. Personally, the adjustability and tunability are extremely important to me and should have been given more merit. Keep up the good work!
Come on...I love Hoyt grips so much, wide and soft I feel Hoyt has the best grip, both on recurve and compound (I have both and I absolutely love them) Plus Hoyt products are very durable. I dry fired my recurve twice plus dumped well over 5000 shots, the limbs still perform like new. The 80lb VTM doesn't draw like 80lb at all. It's more like 50lb for me. Extremely smooth and I draw effortlessly.
As a veteran I want to thank you and is the chance to win a bow still going on? I’m really wanting to get back into bow hunting I’ve been a die hard bow hunter for 20 years but lost everything during my divorce after the war
When you have to grunt to get it into the valley like that Darton.. no bueno. Bow technology has come so far you shouldn't have to deal with that on new bows at 70 or even 80. Finer even if you play with letoff. Also, letoff adjustment. I feel something is up with the speed on it. Maybe letoff wasnt in the right spot for the DL? I don't know if it's measured DL or just off of the setting on it.
