I think it’s so wonderful that you can get your fibre locally. Looking forward to more lovely podcast episodes. Thank you for sharing your makes and maker plans. Greetings from Germany. ~ Kat
@@TheMindfulMaker Thank you. That’s a good idea. I am currently carding up some semi local alpaca but after that I will look at your suggested options.
I would love to see you sew the dresses! I am so anxious about making mistakes when im sewing so mainly stick to clothes repairs or scrunchies 😂 I love those fabrics!
Old sheets! You can get them so cheap at the op shops and they’re great to practice on. If you mess up you haven’t spend a heap of $$ on good fabrics. But just keep practicing.
Hi Sharnti, I've just found your channel today and love seeing your knits. I loved the BWM Rustic yarn and got some of their Mosaic yarn. I'm knitting the chocolate colour mosaic into a sweater for my son as I watch your episode. Wish I'd purchased more yarn as there isn't any left :( Look forward to your next episode, Amy x
Hey Amy. I’ve been following you for a while on IG. So glad to see you here. What sweater are you knitting? I’ve been wanting to find one that my 12 yo boy likes but haven’t been successful just yet 😂 where else do you purchase your yarn from? I’d love to know a few more to be able to choose from. ❤️
@@TheMindfulMaker oh lovely! I’ll find you over on IG. It’s nice to find another Australian knitting channel - finding it hard to find some and was part the reason I started a yt channel myself. I’m knitting the Alec XL (knitting the second size and without the collar). Samuel doesn’t like his jumpers to go too high up the neck so this one has buttons down the top of the front so it can open up. It’s knitting up so nicely. I also get yarn from my friend Rita’s alpaca farm (I mentioned her in my recent video a few times) and from ZigoZago in Castlemaine. I also get yarns from The Purl Box and when I go to the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show.
It is so wonderful to see you Sharnti!! I loved your vlogs. I have just been pottering around tidying up while watching/listening to Ep 1 + 2, and it was like having a good friend at home just chatting! Great to see what you are up to!
Great to see a local podcast and your spinning and knits are really inspiring. Checked out BWM yarns but they seem to have almost all superwash yarn these days, pity they discontinued the Rustic, seems like they’re bucking the natural rustic yarn trend most of our knitting community is going towards, myself included
Hi, nice to find an Australian UA-camr. I have a channel too. I shop at Spotlight and Bendigo for a lot of my wool and fibre. I spin and dye my own yarn.
Most of the patterns that I’ve made have actually been called ‘sweaters’ or ‘cardigans’ or ‘pullovers’ so I’ll always respect the makers plus it makes it easier for people to find the pattern if they know the actual name. ☺️
I enjoyed your podcast so much! Looking forward to more. Your spinning is lovely. Isn't it just the most relaxing activity? I love it.💕
Thank you so much. It really is, it’s like therapy. ❤️
Hi there
Nice to come across another Aussie knitter. Will look forward to seeing your journey.
Kind wishes Lynn Albany WA

Do you have local spinners and weavers? Or even a local Facebook marketplace? You could try asking there for fibre local to you! ☺️

I’m really hoping that they bring some new lines out this year. 🤞🏻

Hello! Yes, I’m hoping Bendigo bring out some more ranges before winter, their rustic was so lovely.
Love your Blog Sharnti 🥰 Have subscribed 💖💫
Yay! Thank you!
You have a lovely podcast, Shanti (sorry not sure how to spell your name). Looking forward to more. Thank you. 🌼
Thank you ❤️ it’s spelled Sharnti, you were very close 😂
We call them jumpers in Australia.
