I'm so so sorry for your lost. She left peacefully, that's the best. Thank you for this episode and thank you for sharing your acquisitions. I leave near Paris, never went to any of the shops yet (I'm a beginner) but I defenitely will go to "les tricoteurs volants" 😍Thank you for the tip !
So sad to hear of your Grandmothers passing. You mentioned her in your podcasts from time to time. You have acquired some lovely yarn in Paris and it is always better to go buy then have enough time to perhaps return and choose other yarn. Stay sweet Inga so natural when you do a podcast ❤😊❤
The unicorn colorway and white will be beautiful and a lovely feel. My condolences to and your family. Itbis such a treasure she wore your knitting...a constant hug from you to her. Now, it comes back as a hug to you from her. Glad you had such wonderful trips and live your yarn choices. It isbfun to live vicariously through you. Be well and happy knitting.
Thank you💕
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending best wishes to you and your family.
I really enjoy your regular podcasts, acquisitions and stash tour videos ❤
Liquorice is loved in Germany and Nederlands too, I'm not much for the salty ones, but my husband loves it. Your acquisitions are lovely, it will be fun to see what you make with the. Condolences for the loss of your grandmother, though it is difficult to lose someone we love, it sounds she passed peacefully. I'm glad you were able to spend time with your mom, I'm sure you being there was a comfort to her.
My sincere condolences to you and your family. I am certain your grandmother was very proud of you, especially continuing her Knitting Traditions. I just finished the Field Shawl by Maxim Cyr in the Lore yarn from The Fibre Company [colorways 'Earthy' (brown) and 'Courage' (pine green)]. I think you will enjoy working with this yarn too!
Thank you💕
Thanks for taking us shopping with you…. I love your yarn choices. Please accept my sympathy due to the loss of your grandmother.🙏🏻
Thank you💕
Yarns from Paris amazing! Sorry to hear about your Grandma! My condolences! I love all your yarns! Xx 😘
Thank you💕
Condolences on your Grandmother’s passing, how lovely that your knit shawl gave her a warm hug everyday 👼 beautiful acquisitions ❤
Thank you💕
I do love your acquisition videos. Such a great way to see what is available outside my home country. I was sad to hear about your grandmother and it was nice that you were able to spend time with your mother after her death and lovely that the shawl you knit for her ended up in the cabin so everyone can enjoy the warmth it gave her. Your videos are by far my favourite ones to watch and I always give a happy dance when you post one. ❤❤
Thank you💕 that means alot to me😘
Sorry about your grandmother passing it is not easy ; my mum in the uK has pancreatic cancer so I know it makes you really treasure family and the special times. Thank you for all that you share and your giving spirit ❤🧶
My thoughts go to you and your mom💕💕
My sincere condolences for your loss. Your hat is lovely, like a little soft hug and the mug you have is beautiful. Thank you for posting. Lots of inspiration as always.
I love every color you bought. I will be looking forward to what you create with them all. I'm sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. I send you hugs and hope you can remember all the happy good times with her. Yes, La bien Amee' is kind of pricey, but the colors they create are so beautiful. I've knit with her yellow brick road colorway, and I have a list of different colors I want to try. Thank you for sharing all of your new stash. I love stash videos. It gives me ideas for other projects. Take care.
thank you💕

Thank you💕
I am still in France getting ready to fly home to USA tomorrow and I was in lil weasel just yesterday! Maybe a day after you ! It was in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris and turned out to be a really up and coming area of Paris . The shop with yarn 😮cones may have Been because it turns out that that area was the fabric district … there were still a few hole in the wall shops selling trims , ribbons , fabrics etc. a lot of the shops have been slowly replaced by trendy cafes.
The gallery the lil weasel was in was something created in the lates 1700s after the Revolution so that people would be able to shop And not be tracking mud and worse ( during the era of open sewers and horse carriage ) into the shops . They arched glass across an alley way and tiled the floors .
There were quite a few in that neighborhood that were worth visiting .
We can get so much on line now that I specifically asked what they carried that was made IN FRANCE right down to the sheep. I ended up buying some Fonty to make a Ukrainian color pair of fingerless mitts and some other colors of Fonty for mitts as well. And two skeins of a hand dyed sock yarn ( French yarn hand dyed by the shop ) .. one for myself and one for a friend. So now we have the same bag ! Lol
When I was in Provence a few years ago I found a yarn shop I think in Aix “ le chat trichot “ that was a darling shop to check out !
Husband and I were getting tired of being in all the touristy areas in Paris and hunting down the yarn shop forced us to try to use the subway and venture into a part of Paris we would not have seen ! It was a great experience!
Inga, so sorry to hear of the loss of your grandmother. You have beautiful memories of her that you have shared with us and I’m sure you will continue to share your memories in years to come.
Your trips and new yarn stashes are beautiful and I can’t wait to see the wips you start and finish. Take care and happy knitting!
So sorry about your grandmother passing. My sister was visiting and she is a none knitter and I chose your podcast to indoctrinate her and help her with a crochet project. I later heard her exclaiming to my husband, I can see why she watches Inga, she is very likeable 🥰
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Nice to have the shawl that she wore each day. Lovely yarn acquisitions from your travels. Thank you for sharing and have fun knitting it all up. Take Care.
Thank you💕
Thank you, Inga, for sharing your adventures with us. I always love to see your yarn acquisitions! My sympathy in the loss of your Grandmother. I can imagine how she treasured the sweater and shawl you handmade for her❤
Thank you💕
Love seeing your beautiful souvenirs from your travels, and I’m very sorry to hear of your grandmother’s passing. ❤
Thank you💕
Good morning Inga, greetings from Montréal, Québec !
Thank you again for making my day. The conversations you have with us are always a highlight and a pleasure.
Please accept my condoleances for the passing of your grandmother and I am grateful to you for sharing this news with us, your knitting family.
The yarn you have brought home with you is, as always, gorgeous. You have made me discover so many things, mainly non-superwash yarn and now I am a fan.
I bought a sweater quantity of Hillesvåg Sølje and Vilje from a shop in Toronto and I plan to knit the Birkin by Caitlin Hunter. I should have enough yarn left for accessories like mittens and hats.
The Alaska sweater by Camille Descoteaux is a great project! I made the hat myself (it was her first pattern) and it's a favorite of mine. Her "Vex" sweater is also a good pattern for stripes. I am presently making it and I will bring it with me to Martinique as a travel project when I leave on Saturday. That and the Cumulus Tee that has been languishing on my needles since last summer ! Thank you for the inspiration and the motivation....because knitting Tynn Line on 3mm has not been my idea of fun!
French people are usually friendly with visitors....unless you're in Paris. I think it's something in their water. My first language is French and I've had store clerks answer me in English when I spoke French...go figure!
Well, I was remarkably chatty this morning, hope you don't mind.
I wish you a good week, with lots of love, laughter, and mostly, lots of knitting.
See you soon!
Thank you💕 i dont mind at all😘 i will have to check out the vex pattern😁 the birkin sounds like a lovely pattern for the hilesvåg🥰
I am catching up on watching videos so apologies for my late condolences. May your fond memories of your grandmother far outweigh any sadness ❤
As always, all of your knitting is amazing and beautiful!
Lovely vacation! Thank you for sharing. It was a joy to travel along. ❤
Hi Inga! I love to knit alongside your podcasts - feels like we’re knitting together in a way! Got me thinking about starting my own podcast so I can more fully participate in this amazing community ❤ and that Fjord Fibers yarn is sooo gorgeous!
Do it !
I love your comment about starting the new project with “because I need some happiness in my life!”… I finished a project this last week and have felt a bit lost. Will be starting a new WIP today because *I* need some happiness in my life 😊
Accessories 🤣 . . . . I could not think of it either for the longest time. Just as you were signing off my brain threw out "accessories". Another great episode. Can't wait to see all the colors knitted.
Thats it!!! Haha🤪
Totally love all your acquisitions especially two alpaca cones ❤. I would combine them together and knit a sweater😊
Hi Inga, thank you for sharing and sorry to hear about your Grandma. Interesting selections for you. Love the Fjord Fibers.
Loved this episode Inga, sorry to hear about your grandmother 🧡.
I really enjoy your many uploads this year, I'm going through some difficult times and your videos and my knitting always relax me 🥰
Thank you💕 hope your times ease up soon😘
Accessories! It is nice living vicariously through you as you venture to Paris and Budapest with your yarn acquisitions. I would love to go back and visit the both Paris and Budapest.
I'm new to knitting and your videos are always such an inspiration to me! Thank you for always providing such beautiful content! ❤
I always enjoy your podcasts. I am sorry about the loss of your Grandmother, I hope that you, your Mom and family find comfort in your memories of her. Take good care Inga.
Thank you💕
I am very happy about every new video from you! Condolences on your Grandmother, I hope you can have happy knitting with new yarn and remembering her.
Thank you💕
Inga, sending you all the well, happy wishes to you and yours. I'm sorry about your grandmother. So many hearts to you and your family. Thanks for taking the time to share everything with us. It's beautiful and I love hearing what your considering making. All the best, Kimberly
Thank you💕
I binge watched all of your episodes and I am in love with your knitting journey. As a new knitter you motivate me so much.
Thanks for making these beautiful videos.
Wow, am I ever surprised at the blue and lavender yarn choice! So very sorry about your grandmother.
Thank you💕
Great purchases, I am totally with you on the natural colors.
Very sorry to hear about your grandmother's death, may she rest in peace
Thank you💕
Those fiber colors are amazing. I really enjoy spinning on my ashford kiwi 3 wheel I find it very relaxing. I am not so sure that I would find the same enjoyment in an electric spinner. There is something relaxing for me to have the motion of the double tredal and the drafting at the same time.
I just purchased a Specialty yarn called Best Friend, made from the owners Dog fur, they spun. Can you imagine , knitting a sweater with your own dog’s fur, and wearing it like a hug , from your companion, for years to follow. The store is in PEI , called Belfast Mini Mills. Beautiful hand dyed yarn 🧶. Also wondered if you have heard of Stephen West’s channel ? You should check it out . . Blessings to you , while you are. Missing your dear grandmother ..she always in your ❤🕊 🦋💫
Thank you💕
If it can help you, we French people do not understand very well how La Droguerie works either 😂, it’s always weird. Your acquisitions are gorgeous and you really don’t have to apologize or justify yourself for buying yarn. As knitters, that’s what we do and love. And that’s it 😊. I an sorry for your grandma, it’s hard. She will live forever in your knitting. Love from France. Val
Thank you Val💕💕💕
You have bought beautifull yarny gifts to yourself. I loved this podcast specially the moments that you couldn't find the word "accessories" for some of your acquisitions. Here in the Netherlands where I live we have very nice very very salted liquorice too. I will try to find it for you and then send a message somehow to you, so I'm able to send it to you. We call it ; SALTED DROP. Hihihi would love to here you try to say that. 😅😉 My sencere sympathy for Your grandmother's passing, I hope you are not affended when I say; That this is the most peacefull way to go over the Rainbow Bridge. I wish you and youre loved ones lots (especially your mother) strenght, beautifull memories and time to grieve. Till next time, kind regards Pia
Thank you Pia💕
Hello Inga. I'm not surprised of the saleswoman dry answer "non" in the shop in Paris - Passage du Grand Cerf. People are not very kind in these yarns shops. I'm living near Paris. Loving your videos, always a pleasure to discover what you're knitting. I'm planning to visiting Norway soon :)
Thank you for the shops suggestions in Paris ! I will be traveling there soon, from Canada. Happy knitting with all you new acquisitions 🙂
I really enjoyed your episode and living and shopping vicariously through your travels. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother.
Thank you💕
My goodness Inga you're glowing in this video! Your mood made me so happy 🍓🤎
Thank you💕😘 its what the love of yarn does to me hehe😜
Inga, sending you and your family condolences on your grandmother's passing. Grandmother's really are often so knit-worthy. I think it is lovely that you made her a shawl. It's amazing how the items we create for our loved ones soak up all of that love between the giver and receiver - and now you can have a reminder of your grandmother's love for you when you wear it again. I really love acquisition videos - I can't wait to see how your Farnham sweater turns out. I am not normally a fan of striped sweaters, but you've converted me to the idea of making a striped sweater with a tonal yarn alongside a hand dyed more variegated yarn. I definitely want to try knitting something like that for myself someday :)
Thank you💕
Once a time, I really want to visit Bergen. And then, I will also visit one (ore more😊)Yarnshops. It's nice to, how a have to search. "Strikkebutik" sounds funny to me😉
Condolences to you and your family on the passing of your grandmother. May her soul rest in eternal peace
Thank you💕
Inga- So sorry to hear about your grandmother. I am a nurse and have taken care of many patients with dementia. What a blessing she passed in her sleep.
Truly💕 thank you
WOW!!! All of your purchases are gorgeous. I am glad you had such a great vacation but sorry you had the bad news of your grandma passing. I hope she had a good life!
thank you💕
Les Tricoteurs Volants is my favorite. But I'm not entirely unbiased - they're my neighborhood shop and they often let me design their window displays :) So happy you had a good time there, Enrico is the best.
That is so cool😍 someome in the comments did mention it was your LYS😁 unbioased or not its a great store😎
Sorry for the loss of your grandmother. ❤
So sorry to here the sad news of your Grandmother passing. A lovely podcast as usual , I love looking at your acquisitions. I have also had language problems trying to buy yarn in Europe 😂 . Happy knitting.
Thank you💕
LOL I also enjoyed Li‘l Weasel - I bought (Vi)Laines - and had similar trouble in La Droguerie, it certainly isn‘t self-service and even though I speak French I didn‘t buy anything. You need to go there with a plan, really. Les tricoteurs volant is the legend that is Franklin Habit‘s LYS 😉
My „souvenir“ La bien aimée was from Bath!
Inga, so sorry to hear of your grandma’s passing. I’m sure she’s happy you were able do buy yarn in her honor ! 😊
thank you💕
Condolences to your family on your grandmother's passing.
So glad you had a good time in both Paris and Budapest. You bought some beautiful yarn and I can’t wait to see what you create. I totally understand the feeling of feeling rushed and then buying more than you might otherwise. I think many people are the opposite and might not buy anything when they are short on time but not me. 😂 So sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother. It can be so emotional closing the generational chapters in our lives so it’s good that you bought yourself some very special and unique yarn to comfort yourself. 😊 Years ago when my grandmother died when I was on a trip to Toronto Canada and I bought myself some British mohair in a crazy aurora borealis color way of greens, blues and teals. I wore the sweater and always thought of my grandmother. Years later I frogged the sweater and made another one. I know I’ll keep the yarn forever. I’m sorry for the loss of your grandmother. ❤
Thank you💕 that is a very nice way of looking at it, i think il always think of her too when using the yarn and weating it💕
I am so sorry for your loss, dear Inga. My thoughts are with you and your family. I hope your yummy yarn stash will bring you joy during these challenging moments. Big hug.
Thank you💕
It's always a delight to start a day with a new video from you.❤
Loved seeing all that yarn! I believe the word you were searching for was accessories.😊
My condolences to you and your family on the passing of your grandmother.
Thank you💕
I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother. Never easy, always inevitable. May her memory be a blessing.
Your beautiful yarns will be fond memories of a wonderful trip with your cousin.
Thank you💕
So sorry for your loss, Inga. Your souvenirs are beautiful!
Loved seeing your acquisition thanks for sharing. So sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. She meant so much to you.
Thank you💕
You’re the best! Love seeing all your purchases from your trips!
I had the same experience in France. I asked Do you speak English in French and he said NO YOU SPEAK FRENCH!!! HaHa.
Lovely acquisitions. Thanks for sharing
🤪
I see a super simple summer sweater with the greens and greys xx
So sorry to hear of your Grandmother. The skills she taught you will always be there.
I love the black licorice in little wheels. Yum😊
I love The Fibre Co. It is my absolute favorite yarn company. All of their bases are wonderful. Lore is lovely. I can’t wait to see what you make with it. I am learning to spin on a wheel. I have been having good luck with natural undyed BFL- where you can see the twist. I am curious to see your wool with the Manos. On a sad` note, I am sorry for your loss of your grandmother. May her memory be a blessing.
Thank you💕
I would love to see you spin those yarns. Both colorways are sooooo beautiful.
Thank you for sharing about your grandmother. Yesterday was the anniversary of my maternal grandmothers passing. She taught me to knit and sew and made me a shawl that I lost or decluttered ages ago and I deeply regret not holding on to it and having more of her makes. Mostly she knit washcloths and I got back into knitting doing the same! Thanks for sharing all your beautiful finds
Thank you for sharing aswell💕
I’m so very sorry to hear about your family’s loss. I hope you can find some solace that your grandmother had a peaceful passing in her sleep - that was a comfort to me when I experienced the deaths of my grandparents. Thank you as always for sharing your beautiful acquisitions - I think the Unicorn Dreams one might be my favourite, although I also really like the lilac LBA yarn you picked up! Happy and peaceful knitting!
thank you💕
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please get my condolences. ❤
Thank you💕
The unicorn dreams yarn is absolutely beautiful. I want to send my heartfelt condolences to you for the loss of your grandmother, Inga. 💜🙏

For some reason I thought your boyfriend was an attorney? LOL 🤷♀️
Came up to a year with my cancer diagnosis (removal was June 15th) and just had a PET CT scan yesterday and it was clean!!!!! So doing really well here! 😁
Happy knitting and crocheting! 🌹
Thank you💕 congratulations😍 thats amazing news🥹💕
We also like licorice in Namibia Think in is the Duch and German influence - enjoyed your sweeties
Loving the Bergen yarn 🧶
Hello Inga, this is Mary from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and I was so sorry to hear about your grandmother. May you, your mother and family find peace with loving memories of her and all your times together. Cherish the shawl that you knitted for her that kept her warm and comforted and I am sure she absolutely loved it! I am sure that she will be with you in your cabin when you wear her shawl. I loved seeing all your purchases of wool from Paris, Bergen and Budapest. To me the best item was 'Born to Knit, forced to Work'! Absolutely brilliant! There must be millions of us in the world who can relate to this! Inga, thank you for all your time and effort you put into your podcasts and I love to watch the scenery shots at the end as they are always magnificent to see the different scenery across your beautiful Norway through the changing seasons and showing the areas around the family cabin. A million thanks, Mary.
Thank you Mary💕
My sympathies for your grandma's passing. Lovely acquisitions for much knitting, sweaters, accessories and more ...
Loved your podcast thank you. Shopping spree was awsome.
thank you💕
Hey at least you learned a few words of French before you came here! I constantly hear tourists that just start speaking English without even saying bonjour or asking if the person speaks English lol Love that LBA lilac color 🤩 and sorry to hear about your grandmother ❤
Thank you💕 i did try hehe, wish i knew more though, its a stunning language
Love seeing your acquisitions specially the traveling ones. I am always looking for the yarn stores wherever I go and never pack without making sure I leave room for yarn. I have often overbought and had to sneak yarn into my husbands suitcase. 😉
Some great acquisition stash additions.
O Inga so sorry for your loss, beautiful podcast, lots of love and hugs to you and your family
Thank you💕
What a lovely addition to your collection. Love the new colours for you. Can't wait to see them knit up. Very inspiring as always. Thank you for bring joy and your wonderful smile to us all.
Google translate is always handy Inga! I love that wall of cones too. I only have one in my stash xx
