I always find it funny how they think nerfing what good makes other weapons/ armor viable like how about you buff other stuff instead of constantly nerfing whats good.

@@gravytrain9530 This case it's not nerfing what's good, it's nerfing what is single-handedly the highest damage in the game by a large margin. It 100% needed the nerf, and it'll likely get nerfed more in the future since they need to make people use the newer Exotics they release by pushing back the old ones.
Exotic that combines all 3 axes into one for a big intial damage but also stays stuck in location creating a constant weakening for a set amount of time in a set radius. Made the exotic better for you Cross

Instead of a weakening effect, the exotic should create a constant volatile effect vortex around the axe. Perhaps, volatile explosions restore small amounts of class/grenade/melee energy?

I think the exotic pulse sniper ( I forget name) should work like the Still Hunt in it's build up to its charge.
It takes way too long for the lousy snipe. And you can't snipe once amd still save up the other shots.
I think that's crazy.
Would be good to have to take out Champions or Higher tier while regularly clearing mobs.

@dezman311 consecration spam isn't good when it's the only thing within the subclass that's viable. Prismatic on titan is abysmal.

When the exotic class mods dropped I was hoping for a Celestial Nighthawk type aspect that could apply to one super per class. Golden Gun for Hunter (works as normal but no super gain for a kill), Twilight Arsenal for Titan (one big axe), and then Chaos Reach for Warlock (one quick laser blast)

It's no different than having nothing to do for the rest of the 6 days and 23 hours between 1 hour weekly content drops now. But it is better in that now we get the full story, full emotional impact at once. It's no longer playing an hour, forgetting what happened near a week after, then the next part having a smaller impact on us because we aren't as connected to the story. Timegating STORY is like saying "here, watch this awesome movie, but you can only watch 10 minutes a week.", it makes the story have no impact, it makes it impossible to care about the characters because you aren't allowed to fully invest your immediate reactions and thoughts throughout the experience. Timegating weapons, exotic missions etc is fine, thats what gives us something to do. Timegating story just makes story pointless and thats why no one cares about seasons.

i mean thats exactly what i want, now i can play destiny 2 for a week get everything done that i want to get done and i have a month time to play other games
The weekly content is so insignificant. It's crazy to me that people actually think that's what keeps people busy. 1hr of content per week is not going to make or break the game.
@@RNTV For Real!! The story missions are basically nothing, just checklist bs. There’s always going to be so many things to grind and unlock, idk how people get to a point where they have nothing to do.
I like this change. I'm a casual player & I only get to play on the weekends (maybe one day during the week if I'm lucky) so for them to condense it down this way is helpful. I can put together one solid weekend & get the whole story without having to worry about what happened or avoiding spoilers all week. It probably sucks for the hardcore players though, but they're day one raiders anyway so you'll have your fun at some point😂
Similar situation, my cousin got me to start playing again a few months ago.
Was catching up to do activities with my hunter. But, thrn towards the end I had to pause on the characters because I couldn't do their campaigns to get the new classes because it would take up too much time as the season was ending.

The season story literally takes 20-30 minutes the day it comes out, it's not that hard to complete for casual players to the point you should have to set aside a weekend play sessions for it, lol.

While the Still hunt change hurts it’s not to bad. Ostiostriga got nerfed because of how well it paired with Necrotic Grips, so it’s only fair. Still going to hit super hard. And my Xeno is looking really good for the new crucible mode
i wish I could play with necrotic grip/osteo when it was good. seems like such a fun playstyle.
@@killval849 You could still pair necrotic with Thorn and it does pretty well too. And Thorn being a more typical PVP exotic means it kinda flies under the radar for PVE :)
I would much rather have multiple battlegrounds in each act than repeatable activities. It just makes more sense narratively and in terms of content. Each battleground acts like a mini story segment which would complement a single story mission perfectly.

The nerf to still hunt + celestial is a drop in the water. It's a measely -12.5% nerf to the 50% BUFF which means instead of getting 50% damage boost, it'l be 37.5% and only affects still hunt. This does not mean you're doing 25% less damage, not at all. People are not reading it correctly. Still hunt is still going to be top 1 or 2 after the nerf.
It's not even top dps RIGHT NOW. Euphony warlock is better and gives way more build flexibility.

So, as Timeworn Wayfarer is not a tex weapon, but is in the same archetype, this means it will not get the buff?
I think in the livestream they said aggressive frame 120s to include it rather than the tex weapon part.
They did say they would bump up reserves more. So people wouldn’t depend on the ammo mods

But I kinda Wish they would bring back the Shiny Luck Weapons and Pantheon, and let everyone gild the Godslayer Title and I’m gonna leave it at that 👍

Ngl I’ve been loving air trigger opening shot. Opening shot is just nice for starting engagements and with air trigger you can get outlaw level reloads on demand with just a small jump. When you get used to it it feels amazing

I was excited for an Eriana’s Vow buff, but just buffed damage against barrier shields is kinda lame imo. It’ll help in that situation, but the weapon needs an overall damage buff to be really viable I’d think
Right! I just finished the catalyst last night hoping it will fair doing damage. I noticed every time I hit a wizards with a precision shot, they exploded 😂. Kinda cool if it had a firefly effect, which it should as an exotic but hey.
It causes an ignition on barrier shield pops and solar shield pops. That's pretty significant
Still Hunt is getting an overall buff this season - the fact it’s always overcharged with anti-barrier mod offsets the nerf and also buffs its regular shot damage. Add to that the fact that it scorches, ignites, and gets the stacking damage bonus - Hunters are still going to be head and shoulders above everyone on DPS with that
25% to still hunt probably will still keep it in the top 3 dps it still may stay #1 unless warlocks with star eaters is that broken, but then Bungie may nerf that too
@@Night-yf4jzwarlocks and star eaters are pretty balanced in the grand scheme of things.
The solar rounds helps so little of the sandbox, wish they would have made it all solar Rifle type weapons to benefit from the mod. (Autos, scouts, pulse, and snipers)

Imo for Erianna's, they should of made its new effect proc when any shield breaks. The buffs to it are cool and all, but its still gonna sit on the sidelines till you know theres an abundance of solar or barrier champs. At least thats just how I see it.
However, if it was up to me, I would of reworked it. Make it kinetic, and based off the shield you broke, that would determine what the effect is ( arc = voltshot, void = destabilizing rounds, etc... but more powerful of course.) Now that would be really fun to use.

Just got a couple adepts yesterday and I'm a fan of this sniper. I don't usually snipe, but with discord + incandescent, I'll swap to a sniper and turn enemies to ashes without using ammo 😂
Just got 4th times the charm and percision instrument gonna give it a try when the new mods release for dps and anti barrier.

FYI: this weeks GM drops a solid solar Sniperrifle that rolls with some insane perks like incandescent, lead from gold & Precision instrument among others that will synergize well with the new upcoming Sniper seasonal mods.
The still hunt nerf feels pretty fair tbh. Hunters getting almost literally a supers worth of damage for what feels like free all the time is nuts. Getting the damage in line with other classes but still keeping the one-shot ease of use from celestial is a good change
I hard disagree, give other classes better damage options or buff enemies in the game as a whole. I’m tired of this shit man. Why should our damage be in line with other classes when single target dps is supposed to be one of our specialties?
@@K.I.P_06 Hunters can deal nearly 30m damage in like 10 seconds with a melee build. And with Still Hunt it can out damage HEAVY WEAPONS why should bungie essentially double the damage of everything else and give a 10x buff to abilities so Titans and Warlocks can compete? And if they buff enemies you just make Hunters required because to make it so enemies are balanced around Hunters every raid boss would likely need at least 5x the hp maybe more. This is a lot more effort than reducing a single weapon and also adding the same melee cap Titans have to Hunters (Currently Titan melee abilities get less powerful the more buffs you have maxing at around 300% more damage but if the cap wasn't around you could hit like 600%)

Also solstice armor is ugly as hell
25% to it's overall damage. That brings it from about 152% of base still hunt down to about 114% of base still hunt. That's a pretty sizeable nerf right there.
Honestly as a hunter im okay with the still hunt celest nerf, i was expecting them to remove that interaction all together. So while 25% is a decent chunk i can still work with that.
There's no point in using with celestial nighthawk now. The 25% nerf was the extra damage it gave with one shot. Now it does the same damage with one shot paired with celestial nighthawk as it does just shooting it with the normal 3 shot. That doesn't make sense whatsoever. Welp. It was fun. Time to break out whisper again

I feel like they should add very rare weapons like shinies in every new activity. Don’t know what would be wrong about that. People would have double perk cooler looking variations of specific guns would give the a purpose to farm those activities
If i’m being honest, i dont think an exotic should be doing as much damage as a super. Yes, i think that the SH GG shots should do a lot of damage, but that Hunter’s GG should do more damage than the sniper, considering that you dont get the super as often as the sniper shots

U do understand that this setup is only good for single target dps and u have to hit ur shots. U gotta sacrifice a lot to run it. It’s like the damage version of a divinity player. This is a whole build set around an exotic weapon and an exotic armor piece to make it work. Not just a weapon that doing the damage. It’s the whole build

The question is: does the one solar shot still do more damage than the three shots? Cuz that's the whole point of Celestial - is to make it stronger for the trade off of not getting to hit multiple targets.
Yes it will lmao. Before still hunt was doing 52% more with celestial. Celestial is going to remain better by alot
They still haven't said, butt since we are gettinf a whole nother row of perks are we getting more points to use for the artifact or are we going to be limited to 12 for the whole episode
Honestly was shocked that they did a 1:1 conversion from standard GG in the beginning, i think its still def gonna be the top choice for burst dmg on hunter but now alot of other options wont look like they are 1000x worse. This wasnt even a matter of bringing everything else in the game up, on the Aegis sheet the still hunt combo is so comedically above everything else in the game that straight up buffing every single weapon up to its level would cause more problems.
Hate to be this guy but you are hard coping. That sniper outside of the super mode is basically a legendary 90rpm adaptive piece of trash. The only reason you use the sniper is for the super. Golden gun is already fallen off as the best burst super by a lot with star eaters warlock doing way more now. Still hunt was the only reason hunters were meta now you lose 25% per super shot? Yea no the class is cooked bro hunters are useless compared to warlocks

The new Act progression sounds amazing. You mean I can pound out the whole act in a day without waiting? Perfect! I can get it all done and just move on to something else without having to juggle games. And I can just come back when the new act comes. I really really like this.
Solar fumination is why they nerfed sunshot
Negative, sunshot does not create ignitions. They are just a solar explosion.
@@espguitarist13 sunshot can actually create ignitions, it's just that it's very difficult to do so since it applies 10 scorch stacks on an explosion which means 10 enemies would have to be near eachother along with something tanky enough to survive that many explosions and gain enough scorch stacks to ignite
edit: you could also use ember of ashes for 15 scorch stacks instead of 10 but that's still 7 enemies that need to be close enough to eachother for the ignition

They aren’t necessarily vex guns. Based on their outline, i think it’s likely Failsafe made them by moulding Vex technology over human weapons.

Yeah I’m between that and streamers beating bosses solo, in turn getting things nerfed for the sake of I beat a raid boss solo. Smh it’s been stupid for awhile. Don’t get me wrong I like some streamers but others no, because they cry and get stuff nerfed because it’s competitive to their gameplay. A bunch of overshield/ability spamming, one shotting, weapon swapping during dps type of players. Overall, Destiny tanked when they gave more attention to pc players over console players. Just my pov.

Better yet instead of deprecating reserve mods deprecate the resist mods on the chest and give a small bump to resist overall to make the chest piece able to be build crafted around because currently the only option is minimum 2 resist mods if you want to play end game content without a huge detriment to your survivability.

The issue with prismatic hunter in PvP is really just heart of inmost light on the class exotic. I would rather they hit that than swarm/threaded specter.
Still hunt will still be incredible across all classes. Personally I was expecting around a 17%~ reduced damage with celestial.
Honestly though. As a Hunter main. The nerfs are very welcome. I wanna play something other than prismatic/solar hunter.

So how much more damage was celestial still hunt was doing compared to one without celestial?
(100+50)/1.25= 120 so a 20% damage increase and you only have to shoot one shot.

Post nerf it's still the best damage in the game, or if people are miscalculating, it's still casual top 5 options. They'd have to repeat this same nerf like three times for it to not be in the uppermost echelon of damage options.
A 25% damage nerf isn’t gonna kill the weapon. It shouldn’t have been getting the 20% buff from nighthawk anyway. And with the new artifact mod plus it being able to ignite targets it’ll probably be better then before tbh

Tbf warlocks already outclass every hunter super now with star eaters on nova. Add in the fact that your super mode is losing 25% per shot now and golden gun isn’t top dog. Yea hunters will be seeing lower dps by a mile now and I’m all for it. Warlocks basically do everything but way betyer
A mile? Where? Doing only 400 instead of 450 thousand damage every 3 secons? Still gonna top most damage rotations in the game with that tiny touch
@@MrMartinio25% is a heavy "adjustment". That's going from 152% of base still hunt down to 114%.
I am glad they are changing this I usually just AVOID the Story mission until they are all out so I can play the all together, because the plots are usually SO THIN it is usually just the same mission repareated with a couple new lines and a radio call at least when you do it all together it is easier to hold on to the thin plot and makes it feel like an actually paragraph instead of a couple sentences a week for 3 MONTHS

you can't scrub a turd and still expect a diamond. If titans were bad before, they still are now. There's still issues that needs to be fixed that nerfing hunters can't fix.

Is anyone else's Iron Banner rank not progressing? I reset last week and played 5 games this week and no rank up has occurred. Doesn't even count the seasonal challenge "Eyeing Iron" or towards the ritual exotic engram or Iron Lord wins triumph for the seal guilding. So frustrating.
This can be caused by a cache issue. Do a safe shut down of the game, the console/PC, unplug it for 2 minutes l, and start it up again.

Converts Twilight Arsenal's trio of axes into 1 powerful projectile that weakens the target and drops an axe when defeated.
Converts shield throw into a non bouncing throwing axe that weakens hit targets but provides no overshield.
The pyrogale, nighthawk, etc. style exotics are the best exotics imo.
I hope they will finally fix Precious Scars on solar.

Getting rid of stat penalties from adept mods is absolutely massive. There used to be absolutely no reason to run an adept ammo mod because of the 20 it would cut off of stability with just 1 more shot ussually than the regular ammo mod
My only issue is that I have a tier 3 enhanced recluse, but the perks aren’t enhanced and says I still need to upgrade it, anyone know a fix for this?
It might just be a UI glitch. When you hover your curser over the weapon and you get that drop-down window with its active perks, do the two ones in the middle have a gold border?
I have an edge transit I just enhanced and upgraded to T3 but when inspecting the gun, the two middle perks are greyed out completely but when moved the curser over the weapon in my main loadout menu, they show as enhanced.

Is the new whisper better than the original? I just started playing destiny again after 2 years so I havnt played any of the newly made exotic missions
New whisper is better but the difference is nowhere near as big as new and old outbreak
Main reason to get new whisper would be no distractions for better ease of use or field prep for more ammo
