Can someone explain a little further why letting the bar go past your head and shoulder on pull-downs is ineffective?
When I do this I feel a stretch on my lats. Is it ineffective because a stretch without engaging or locking down on lat isn’t creating proper tension? Or another reason?
You feel it in your lat above that angle bc you are tensing up your lats not because there is tension from the movement. If you go above head you are starting the movement by pushing it down with is chest not lat.
@@dustindarabaris48 so is it similar to how touching your hands behind you back would stretch your pecs, but you would not use that ROM for a chest fly?
