This is a high value comment
That forward view of the flared elbow he showed is exactly what I've been doing, and I never realized it. I do lock into my lat, but I see exactly how suboptimal my movements have been.
Thank you for the correction, Mike.
These tweaks make such a difference. Probably basic to many, but I struggle connecting to my tris and what a difference. Many thanks!
Get in and get out💪🏽Great video Mike!
Always giving those little tips that make the connection and targeting specific muscles so much easier.
I did arms yesterday and can’t wait for them to recover to use these new cadences for the workout now.
The flaring lat and where to pin shoulders for a proper tricep push down has always been a struggle.
Thank you for these videos and your advice Mike.
Thank you, Mike, for sharing your experience with us. Since I found your channel 1.5 years ago, my training has improved by at least 100%, and I am connecting and growing. Greetings from Germany!
Man if I'm ever in Canada I'd love to train with this guy. Good instructor of weight lifting.
I can watch Mike talk forever, there's always do much to learn
yeah just be careful what you say speech is violence to this big boy. He might want to physically hurt you just because you made a sound he didn't like.
sounds like a problem you should talk to him about
@@GODCONVOYPRIMEshow us on the doll where Mike touched you....
The idea that helped me was remembing the function of the tricep is pulling not pushing
Interesting point, thanks. Are you referring to the negative (eccentric) portion of the lift where you are effectively slowly pulling the bar back up?
I think he means that the function of the triceps is to pull the forearm to the straight position.
I would give my life savings to see mike as a male wellness competitor....i assure you if he competed in just one they would ax the whole division shortly after LMAO never to be revisted
😂
Let’s also keep in mind you can do overhead, single hand, and also reverse grip triceps pull downs/push downs. There’s so many variations and most of the people you see performing the motion poorly are most likely just doing too much weight. Good info and tips though!
Thanks coach
Since the rock appeared with glasses, everyone wants to put on glasses….even if it’s on the head
I can thank you Mike for my triceps going up in the rear delt , that exercise and stretching/braking the weight with triceps , (standing head crashes) wery good exercise 💪👍 you help me a lot with your technique and build my dream body of the age of 50 years 💪👍🇳🇴
I've always done the rounded back thing, but didnt realise just how much i was trying to keep the bar close to me all the way through the press. Rather than pressing away/down i was basically pulling into my hip and it felt like sh-t, much like what Mike was doing at 12:45. Modifying it feels way better after just 2 sessions.
Great fuckin tip about creating better torque on the rope attachment. Much appreciated Mike
😂😂 you in men’s wellness is going to be lit 🔥
Hit it and forget it💪
Can you kindly make a workout video for stubborn forearms and calves. I have used your methods for other body parts and I felt like never before.
Despite ruined (stiff; dangerously insecure lower back) and cramp-worthy hamstrings as a result, that position is what instinctively I’ve used for years. Otherwise I get pain in my shoulder? If the bar gets too far from my body.
Rope or handle, Pushdowns are probably the most sickeningly painful exercise I’ve learned to have to fight through, the contraction is so intense. As a result(?) my triceps grew faster than anything, even biceps.
I also get a great feeling from the short bar version that looks more like a close grip press - the way Levrone & Wheeler used to do even though some ‘influencers’ say it doesn’t work, particularly as a finisher. Really gets the horseshoe area in fire.
9:58 😂 loved it
That shirt is sick as fuck. WYCKED😎
It’s difficult to like myself, I try…. but I dislike how skinny I am sometimes. It’s weird how we humans are. Apparently Mike Tyson said he hated how short his arms are. Everyone has insecurities, I guess it’s normal. The pattern is always wanting to be what you aren’t. I guess it’s the “grass is always greener on the other side” mentality. A person can never be happy with that kind of mentality. The double edge sword is that one needs this kind of mentality of disliking oneself (a little bit), otherwise there is no reason to push oneself beyond limitations. That being said, I need better triceps haha.
Like and respect the process you stick to. Not the outcome.
Stop listening to the mind.
Are you a bott account? Wft hahahaah
I Think this is a need to have, but at the same time you have to appreciate that you are growing and you look better then when you started, so basically just appreciate progress and having that mentality will make you push further to make yourself look better
Just jump on the sauce bro, but don't overdo it
The forward motion is also commonly termed as the hinge.
Good stuff I always wonder if I was doing them right I hate using the rope always use the bar .glasses make you look like a professor 😂😂😂
catch me outside!
Welcome to the need to ‘wear glasses’ club
Anybody know the manufacturer for the v-bar attachment?
van wellness
Any advice for a guy that work a hard labor job when it comes to recovery. I often wonder how to balance that. My step count at work is at 15k a day with a lot of lifting and moving heavy stuff. Hard to feel like I recover at all working 6 10-14 hour days per week.
How’d you not include over head presses
My inner elbow clicks when squeeze them to my side, is flaring them to the point where they dont click just as good for pushdowns?
Yes
This has now officially become a Men's Wellness Channel 👙
Up and down, you know what I mean 😜😜
You're physically strong but emotionally weak.
I like how words and noises that come out of a hole in our heads hurts you to the point where you can't keep your hands to yourself. It gives us the power to manipulate you and play with you because you're so, well, it's going to be fun making jokes about you because you're just like the pronoun brigade I guess speech is violence to you guys too.
Mike was clearly abused by prepositional phrases as a child. Scarred for life
Omg hurry up a do the fkn exercise
Man this is the guy who almost cried when asked about his height and weight. What a 🤡
disagree on the last bit, if you are done with your workout GTFO, Gym is not a hangout, by crowding it you are being disrespectful to other members who are just coming in, you just had your workout, so dont crowd the place and prevent others from working out. i see this shit all time, just groups of ppl hanging around machines talking for hours.
Why are you in the gym for hours...
