  • Here's my TLR 22x-4 1/10th scale 4wd electric off road buggy kit, 100% box stock with my meager driving skills ate OCRC. The buggy is pretty tough, even when you directly hit walls! Big thanks to Tony Phelan from ‪@Competitionx‬ for filming this!

    Love mine!! Super buggy! I run on carpet but no matter the surface this is a great buggy! Nice video. Good to see someone else crash lol. That track is great too, looks like they mist it for moisture?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  4 роки тому +1

      Nice! yeah, OCRC installed misters probably 7-8 years ago to keep the clay moist and traction consistent. It's nice because there's minimal time where you can't use the track - they just blow it off a couple times a day with leaf blowers. Some track water hose the track down and you have about 20-30 minutes of non-use....and then the first few out get to plow through the debris

    Looking good Rich! Those track misters are pretty awesome! We've started doing something like that manually at electrosport. There is now a water sprayer or blower at every marshal spot.. after a race you mist that section of track towards next marshal spot.. then drop the tool. Repeat after every race. Keeps the clay nice and consistent now.

    I'm looking forward to getting back to RC racing. The TLR is looking good! I think the box stock setup looks pretty sticky.
    From the looks of the running there, I might try a bit lighter or smaller battery with the right gearing or less motor to accommodate the run time.
    The car looks soft on the damping overall, but I think a smaller batt could do the trick.
    Having the big mah is good but if your not hitting the percent rule, why lug around the weight?

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  3 роки тому

      Great info - yes, this was 100% stock built to manual spec. I was running a light weight (lo profile) pack in this running video - the ProTek 3600mah LiHV 120c pack

      It's fun, especially when you see how fast and capable these newer rigs are. And if you run at a place like OCRC, that's well groomed and maintained, there's little to no cleaning/breakages
