Fan and light were not communicating with remote. Turn the wall switch off. Hold down the Learn button while you flip the switch back on. Works like a charm! Thanks so much!!

If my new Harbor Breeze remote control does not light up when any button it pushed, could it be a bad remote? The battery is good. The fan when hard wired works. Cannot get the remote and receiver to pair?!

Same remote but different fan. Thing just randomly does it’s own thing. Looks like common issue with these. Way too many buttons/options. Might try generic remote replacement with on/off, low/med/high(pull chain options)
I have to do that "learn" button thing Every Time I want to do anything, and the light still won't go on. :( Plus the fan turns itself on and off randomly. Maybe I have a ghost.
I think you broke a UA-cam record for longest end-tro. I can see why this video has so many dislikes. You can use the UA-cam Editor and trim off the last 20 minutes.
ThankQ... I installed a fan similar to this back in 2014 and because I travel for work, I haven't had the opportunity to address it. Ran across your video and it was fixed... freaking almost 4 years later.
He had no idea what was wrong or what to do. Anyone can flip switches until you find a sequence that gives a desired response given enough time. A blind pig will eventually find an acorn or two. Then to make it worse, that trashy music stretching the video.
I like to share the thought process involved as often in life the solutions to problems are yet unknown. So much more important than that I want to tell you that God loves you and has a better plan for your life. Sin has separated us from God and broken many of our friendships and relationships. Jesus came to restore us to God. He lived a sinless life we could not and fulfilled the righteous law of God. He took the wrath of God upon himself at the cross and suffered in our place so that any that belive on him can be covered by him. He rose from the grave and gives eternal life and forgiveness of sin to all who trust in what God has done through Him. Ask the Lord to save you and reveal His Love and truth to you. Be reconciled to God and watch little by little as He changes your life as He brings wisdom and relationship healing through His Word. Continue to read the bible. Especially the new testament. Jesus said in John 8:31b-32 "If you continue in my word, Than are you my desciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

So, you just pressed the “learn” button? Mine is still not working.
My fan was unresponsive tried this and changed the setting on my remote to 0 instead of 1. Seems to have worked for now! Thanks,

This video saved my life not even being dramatic my room was so hot until I️ saw this video and fixed my fan.
Well, his solution didn’t work for mine but what did work was to hold the learn button and the home button down at the same time.
