I must say that you never fail to inspire me with your background ideas. This one is the best one yet. I love the Mother's Day card very simple but look at that color. You have given me many ideas I finally broke down and purchased my very first heat tool and embossing powders I am off to the races and you were the one that finally convienced me to go for it! Thank you and see you on Wednesday.
These backgrounds are awesome. I love all the different colors. And the saran wrap on the top is so cool and makes such different designs. Thanks Sasha have a great day
Stunning results and cards. I love your card examples of how you use your backgrounds. I have tons of backgrounds that I need and really have stopped making backgrounds until I use up what I have. TFS❤
that's a great plan. I found i was getting really down when i had so many sat there. I felt like i should make cards, and i started feeling overwhelmed. I get such joy out of creating them and often get carried away and make more than i can use. So now, i keep a box and fill it with all my extras, backgrounds, die cuts, scraps and then i give them all away to kids i know that love to create, and they get used up by them, and then i feel good they got used ha ha
These cards are awesome! I havenot tried cling film with explosion powders, only with flat inks, I have ro do this - its soooooo cool! Thankyou so much. xxx💖💖💖
Another option for shimmer water/spray if you don't have paste is Perfect Pearls. Just mix a bit into water & you can spray or brush that onto your paper. I don't know if the shimmer would be as intense as with a paste like you used, but the water "sets" the Perfect Pearls, so there should be no need for hair spray or fixative. If you want just a "clear" shimmer, the Perfect Pearl color of Perfect Pearls will work, but it also comes in colors. Just an alternate idea I thought I'd share. I actually got it from Jennifer McGuire, so not my original idea. Another advantage is the powder doesn't dry out like paste can if you don't use it quickly enough. And you don't need much powder, so even though it's a little pot, it will last a long time. Anyway, thank you very much for sharing these projects & this technique. I have seen the technique before with watercolors, but never with the powders like you used. And recyclable cling wrap??? I wish we had that here in the States! Sometimes I feel like we're so far behind the times, at least with good products like that. Well, thanks again for sharing. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
oh yes! I always forget about perfect pearls! I really need to dig mine out and play with them more. I think i have 3 jars i bought about 10 years ago- so yes they do last a super long time and no drying out is amazing. Thank you so much for the reminder!
SO enjoyed this tutorial! I love watching vids and tutorials with lots going on! Yours are great! Adore this background tech… the metallic shine is the perfect addition! Really a standout background. Love it!!! Do you hv a news letter? Be Well, from Terry in Texas
Hi Terry :) No sadly i dont do a newsletter. Im not very good with writing, and i did try to do a blog once but it felt too much like homework and really stressed me out. So i only do videos sadly
im not sure, i guess it depends if it will hold the scrunched up shape? Usually bags are a bit thicker and might just go back to being more flat rather than scrunched?
Lovely cards Sasha many thanks for sharing.
Seeing you make these cards would not bore me, that’s why I’m here!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words Sara

The whole paper backgrounds were a bit much, but when cut down and made into cards. Stunning!
The minimal scrunching is my favorite. But once you make them into cards, they're all beautiful!

Great!
Is it possible to use plastic bags instead of plastic film?
im not sure, i guess it depends if it will hold the scrunched up shape? Usually bags are a bit thicker and might just go back to being more flat rather than scrunched?
What paper do you use with those explosion powders?
❤️❤️❤️
