Beautiful 🤩 I’d forgotten that you can use food colouring! Did you know that you can also use food colouring in ‘play sand’ I would mix the food colouring & sand and then dry it in a microwave for approximately 30 seconds. Then you can use the sand. It’s great for the kids to make sand pictures. Etc. if it gets wet be careful with the transfer to hands and clothing. Have fun with your children. I might be having my grandchildren to stay and may do some shaving foam pictures with them. Thanks Sasha ❤
Loved the rainbow and the idea of using left over foam over a stencil. I don't know if you filmed it, but you could always do a second video of the making of the cards. Love your videos and appreciate your time and inspiration.
These are so fun as well as beautiful. As for the power tools, always remember let the tool do the work if a circler saw only thing you need to do is push it forward as well as any other saw, sanders are really easy to use, drills down and up don’t stop after you have gone down or you will be stuck lol and clamps are your best friend. 😂😂 and enjoy learning. That’s the best part and leave fear very far away. Have fun. Tfs ❤😊
ha ha i have got a set of a few different clamps ready to go! it's all new to me, so im really hoping i properly have a go. Going to spend some time painting and decorating as well, hope that doesnt take up all my time though. Going to surprise my son by doing his room for him when my husband takes him to his moms for a weekend(he's 8)
Wow! This was a FUN one! I was sitting here and "wowing" when you made the green and copper one. And then the RAINBOW ones are so beautiful. LOVE this! thanks for sharing :)
I love the shaving foam technique. I have one small tip for you. To get a natural marble look you need to do the flip cup technique with acrylic paint. Shannon Gibson has a lot of them and one other one I can't quite remember. But I can find out if you want me to. I hope this idea helps you anyone else who reads this. 🤗❤️
Great way to make backgrounds. I tried this with marble paint but these came out so much better. I love the food color one’s the best. Thanks for sharing Sasha
I had to smile when I saw your video was shaving cream. Yesterday I used up my very last shaving cream BG - from years ago. As always yours looks great. I'm thinking I will head to my craft room (well garage) with some black card stock, copper acrylic paint - and some guy stencils. Thanks again for the inspiration
it honestly works a treat, and i had microfibre cloths on the side i was wiping extra off with, but when i had quite a bit to get rid of i was just washing it in the sink.
Oh gosh, love the music at the end! Who was that? Also, absolutely loved your cards as well . LOL Thank you so much for showing us your play with this technique.
when you use the Tim Holtz metallics and alloys, you need to also incorporate the Alcohol ink Solution which makes them to stay on the paper. Not sure the best way to do that with shaving cream, but maybe you can!
SUGGESTION: SASHA !! Maybe try putting your flat pan on a cheap turntable from your UK pound store, and TURN the shave foamed card stock while you squee-gee off the foam layer?? I’d LOVE to see the galaxy effect you’d get!!
They are lovely Sasha ❤ I thought the one you didn't like as much, looked like tie dye. The rainbow ones are my favourite, will have to give them a go, and photo paper. Enjoy the school holidays ❤
Absolutely beautiful Sasha! Thank you for sharing the different mediums to use with shaving cream. I always wanted to try this out but didn’t want to use my reinkers - too expensive for this process and I bought them to reink my stamp pads. ❤️🇨🇦
yep, that's how i feel! Honestly food colouring is so concentrated and you can get such a huge variety of colours and they are so cheap, they are the way forward for playing with
That looked like a lot of fun!! Great backgrounds - really loved the purple and silver one, and the rainbow ones were gorgeous. Enjoy your time away and your DIY projects 🤗
Next time your out shopping just grab the cheapest bottle you can find! ive had this one for nearly a year ha ha. That's how long it took me to get round to playing with it
FUN! I'm thinking if you got the metallics onto the photo paper first then set it with the hairspray then add the bright colors. Does that make sense? Enjoy your family time. 😊💗🇨🇦
Yes that's a thought, though i think the colour would resist the hairspray. ive found it sucks in that first layer and often doesnt want too take too much after, and the hair spray locks in the metallic so it might lock out the colour?
That was so much fun to watch Sasha - love your videos! The cards turned out beautifully, particularly liked the stencilling and especially that leaf one - gorgeous. Any chance you could put your DIYing pursuits on You Tube? I don't do Instagram or facebook I'm sorry. Would love to see how you go. Thanks Sasha and have a wonderful day x
Ha ha, well i did buy a little camera to set up to do time lapse videos. im hoping i can get my head around that to work out how to do it. If i have the time, energy, and knowledge then i hope to get some videos edited and voiced over of doing it. But that's so different to what i currently do i worry i might struggle
Thank you so much, I know it's been done before but i wanted to share all the different ways you can do it and a bunch of samples of what you could make
Omg omg thank you so much for this video I just loved it and I just can't thank you enough for all the ideas you have shared. Enjoy your break have fun with your family . Best wishes from me ❤️
SASHA!!!!!! OMG!!!! I can not believe the stuff you come up with girl! You rock!!!!! Can I climb in your head and pick your creative part of your brain? I want to be a fly on the wall of your brain. You are awesome girl................love, love, love watching you! Thank you for a great beautiful economical process. Dollar tree shave cream probably is great. Thank you again. Keep em comin! 😘💯👏💕 I have a baby suggestion. You know the gold you said that came off of the photo card and had to spray hairspray. What if before you put the gold on, you put a tiny bit in a little tiny cup...add a tad of gum arabic to it and then either with a dropper or spatter paint brush, you apply it. I have mini eye plastic eye drop bottles I would use but I don't have that gold you do. I will have to try to see if I have something else that will work. I might try some gold mica mixed with a tad of liquid and again gum arabic. This is gonna be fun!
ha ha i love comments like this! Absolutely made my day! The problem with my brain is that when i get going it doesnt shut off, then i end up spending hours creating and then ive got to sift through hours of content to compress it down to 20 minutes or less and share all the things i learned along the way. But then i dont know when to stop when i make up samples of what you can do with the backgrounds either! and great suggestion, i'll have to try that, ive got gum arabic in my office!
Yes you can do it with alcohol ink as well, i just find it uses quite a bit of colour so i wastn keen to use mine when food colouring did the same thing :)
@@SashaReade thanks . I’m not a baker so have no idea how much food colourings are but I’m out to find a rainbow variety today . Only get out with carer once a week and today’s the day . Sainsburys before pub today ! Absolutely love the rainbow ones you did . Know they’ll be cheaper than alcohol inks for sure !
@@SashaReade got the food colouring , can’t wait to try this . They didn’t have purple so had to get pink instead . Bigger bottles than I remember my mother having in her baking days . Will last a long time . Much more economical than alcohol inks .
Sasha did you have a preference from the satin or glossy photo paper for backgrounds? I didn’t know if you thought one worked any better or was more versatile. I’ll be finally ordering it my next order and food coloring too!!thank you!
You can use either, just depends if you like it shinny or a bit more dull. I quite like the glossy look, i feel like it looks fancy. But they both absorb colour really well and in the same way
@@SashaReade I also liked the look of the glossy in your hand, but didn’t know how well it would go with the very matte Neenah 110#cover weight card base. Thank you!
They are all gorgeous backgrounds and the cards are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much, and yes the rainbow ones are my fave!
Wow that looked liked a lot of fun to do and they all came out great.
Thank you for the ideas on using other mediums on the shaving foam. I have only ever used alcohol inks, so am keen to try some of the other ones. 😊

Hope you do, but be prepared to get sucked in and lose all track of time!!!!
Great way to make backgrounds. I tried this with marble paint but these came out so much better. I love the food color one’s the best. Thanks for sharing Sasha
Yes, and the food colouring is so cheap! You can make so many backgrounds and it costs pennies
This looks so fun! I have everything I need to make these! I’ve gotta try👍
Awesome results and cards from your shaving foam play! Thank you for showing us. xxx💖💖💖
I did this years ago but not with photo paper. I will have to do it again. Tfs
Absolutely stunning cards !!!

So fun! Take me back to my homeschooling art days! I need to do this with the grandkids!
Your first rainbow print litterally took my breathe away. Wow

Also, absolutely loved your cards as well . LOL Thank you so much for showing us your play with this technique.
They look beautiful.I have done shaving cream ones before and they smell really nice too. Thanks Sasha.
ha ha yes, i was loving the smell, though after a couple days of playing i was getting tired of the smell
Sasha, I have not used shaving cream in a long time!! I love the rainbows !! The photo paper is my favorite ones

I wont be gone for long and if i get the time i'll probably aim to squeeze one in. I love my job and i miss it when im not creating with paper
Wow Sasha we can certainly see you had fun. Beautiful carda.
ha ha thank you
Love this! I have tons of reinters and photo paper!
Yay! you're set! ive got a play list of other things you can do with photo paper, make sure you check that out :)
Thank you for the great ideas!
Thank you for watching
Beautiful backgrounds and amazing cards. I really love the ones that you stamped the flower background stamps!
Thank you, yes i love stamping over backgrounds like this. Its a great way to use up a large stamp and give it colour
That looked like a lot of fun!! Great backgrounds - really loved the purple and silver one, and the rainbow ones were gorgeous. Enjoy your time away and your DIY projects 🤗
Thank you so much :)
Love the stencilled backgrounds especially, but they were all really great. Have a good time with the DIY!
Thank you so much, and yes. Im really praying im productive, because my procrastination skills are top notch
Lovely results! I'm thinking that the acrylic paints may work better if they were watered down first. I could be wrong though.
oh that's a good thought! that would have definitely helped! Must try that next time
You can sprinkle embossing powder on the stenciled shaving cream before it dries and use your heat gun and that makes it a permanent texture
oh that's a fun idea! thank you for sharing! I will have to give that a go
Wow wow wow
Thank you
The photo paper is a game changer!! Love the rainbow!!
I am so utterly addicted to it. Any new technique with colour i try with photo paper as 9 times out of 10 it's insanely better than normal cardstock
I used to use this technique 20 years ago! Thanks for the memories and refresher course!
Oh im so pleased it might have got you re inspired :)
Love your backgrounds especially the photo paper. And I love the cards you made.
Thank you so much, i love working with photo paper
Beautiful!!!
Thank you Sue
Gorgeous!!
Thank you
Love love these! Makes me wish I had shaving cream!! Too rainy to get out today! Pollock Pines California
Next time your out shopping just grab the cheapest bottle you can find! ive had this one for nearly a year ha ha. That's how long it took me to get round to playing with it
Sasha. That first one that you were buffing off, there’s a butterfly in there if you look carefully.
ooooo great eyes! how fun

make sure it's foam not gel , also you can store in plastic container with lid , I love this idea great fun 😅
yes it's got to be shaving foam. You really wont get far with gel
That was so much fun to watch Sasha - love your videos! The cards turned out beautifully, particularly liked the stencilling and especially that leaf one - gorgeous. You are just one amazing crafter...with the photo paper backgrounds...do you recommend using a stazon ink ....😊
Wonderful! I would love to know the strokes you made to achieve the paisley look on the rainbow card.😊❤
ha ha i just swirled up and down. I wasnt even paying attention. The rainbow colours are just so pretty
Cool, thank you!😊

awe, yay, welcome to my channel :)
Can you use regular ink on photo paper or do you need Staz-on? Is the shaving foam sticky? Beautiful ideas!
I used onyx black versafine ink and it stayed on just fine. I leave it to dry about half an hour and ive never had a problem
genius
Thank you
Did you have to use hairspray on all the photo paper?
Can you do this with alcohol ink , not the mixatives ? Great video . Gonna get some food colourings for sure .
