@@gkelectrical1 well because of the lack of response on how the ball should vibrate and the poor instructions I am unsure if I have the correct size airphysio for myself and have since stopped using it as it had not helped and I believe it is due to either me not understanding how to use it because of the poor Instructures or incorrect sizing of the device which I had hoped commenting on the UA-cam video would have helped me to understand but as no one has replied I am unsure on either one so now it's just a fancy looking gadget in the medical cupboard.
@@wesleybroughton6147 Briefly, the goal is to take a fairly large breath then exhale normally through your mouth keeping your lips sealed around the device and not puffing your cheeks producing a slight oscillation with the ball which will produce vibrations in your chest. The updated video does say, "do not try to blow too hard and fast. The aim is to have the ball bearing lift just off the cone creating an oscillation. If you blow all of the air out of your lungs straight away" or .. force the ball bearing too high you risk straining your lung muscles and the device won't work properly.
sooo .. the trick is, NOT to try to exhale with an effort specifically meant get the ball bearing up out of the socket, like it's a game .... but rather, to exhale naturally, while forming a tight seal, and after exhaling gently for about 2-3 seconds, enough back pressure builds up, and ball bearing starts vibrating... ?
Hi Taunton, This is correct. If you can't lift the ball bearing then this is still fine as the back pressure will still open up your lungs and start the mucus expansion and clearing process, but if you use too much pressure, you may over exert your airway muscles and cause a tight feeling in your chest, similar to doing too hard a session with weights at the gym. @@airphysio yes, it makes sense. I've been watching the videos, and trying to understand what they're getting at. Hi Ehabitation, breathing exercises help you if you know what you are doing, as do sports, but the AirPhysio device helps people who need an easy way with a device to gain improvement quicker and easier.
I ordered this several weeks ago, and have yet to get a response from the company on when I can expect delivery of my order. Eleven inquiries have yet to be answered!!
Is it also efficient for bronchiectasis or more for people with asthma ? I am using a Pari-Pep device now and wonder if the AirPhysio would be better or not ? And can you explain how you cleanse the device ?
Hi Elisabeth, Thank you for your enquiry. Bronchiectasis is one of the conditions which AirPhysio is designed to help as mucus dysfunction is one of the medical conditions which you have due to a damaged mucociliary escalator, and AirPhysio is designed to help the body to alleviate this. I hope this helps.
You breathe in deeply and hold you breath for 2-3 seconds to help distribute the oxygen and then blow through the device for 3-5 seconds at a consistent rate and not too hard. This will help you to combine deep breathing with the device to help open up your lungs and improve clearance and lung capacity. I hope this helps.
I am wondering about cleaning the device. In the instructions it says use dishwashing detergent then later in the same instructions it says do not use dishwashing detergent. Which one is it?
How can this item clear your lungs? All you are doing is blowing into it, you don’t inhale anything, so nothing is getting into your lungs to clear it. With an asthma inhaler you are actually inhaling stuff into your lungs, unlike this product. I use the “Salitair” the original salt inhaler, where you inhale salt particles. And, I use the “Ultra breathe lung exerciser to strengthen your lungs. They both seem to work (I’m no medical expert) as I do cough up mucus since using it, though I don’t do it every day as they expected us to do it, I do it now and again. As for this Air physio, all you do is blow into it.
It creates a vibration in your lungs and Airways and in doing so loosens mucas that may be stuck in your Airways. Then you would be able to cough it up. I'm using it alot more these days. I'm a heavy smoker and get panic attacks now and again and I actually find it helps with that too. Bonus.

Curious 2 questions. You are a long term cannabis and cigarette smoker, how does this work if you decided to quit? also Say you did not quit but used this device regularly, Would that potentially give you a faster/better high due to somewhat cleaner lungs.
Hi Liam Peterson, we can’t condone smoking cigarettes of cannabis, as this is a medical device. The AirPhysio device will help to clear out the mucus and help get the mucociliary escalator functioning more effectively to improve lung hygiene and expand the lung for better breathing.
I watched like 10 of these damn videos today and not a damn one shows anyone actually coughing up any mucus and every single one tells you to go buy it. If you want my $70, you better show some actual results.
Hi Pacific Castaway, it isn't normally one of the videos which we put up as it can be embarrassing for the person. Please see this video, it is a raw video done on the spot and shows how quickly it can work - ua-cam.com/video/MuDsIKeV2pA/v-deo.html
The same can be achieved by breathing in. Then breathing out slowly, while gently patting your gap in your lips with your hand. Repeat this a number of times and you'll bring the mucus up.
Thank you for your comment. The best way to explain this is that it acts similar to your cough mechanism. When you breath into the device your diaphragm is expanding to push the air out of your lungs, whilst the AirPhysio device blocks the air from going out initially. This builds pressure in your lungs, expanding the airways and helping them to open up until it reaches a specific pressure. When the pressure is reached then the ball bearing lifts and the air rushes out of the lungs creating wind sheering in the lungs as it rushes over the mucus and the air in behind the mucus also pushes out of the lungs. Then the ball falls back into place and starts this process again. This happens between 15-35 times per second (sort of like if someone is trying to push a car out of the mud, rocking it back and forward helps it get free) helping to get the mucus flowing and improving the function of the mucociliary escalator. I hope this is helpful in explaining the process which the device uses and how it helps with mucus clearance.
Step 5 - does not say weather you do a deep inhale (not filling lungs fully) like the first step & then hold breath? Or you just take in a normal breath?
Should the ball start vibrating as soon as you exhale? Mine hardly vibrates until I’m at the end of my breath. I assumed this is because my breath is weaker towards the end of my breath and therefore I was blowing to hard initially. So I tried blowing very softly at the very beginning and I just can’t get it to rattle until I’m basically out of breath.
Hi Chad, You shouldn't try to blow too hard, it is more about a consistent breath over 3-5 seconds. If you blow too hard, you may strain your airway muscles and feel tight in the chest. Even if you don't lift the ball bearing, the Positive Expiratory Pressure from the device is working for you. Try watching this video as it may help further - ua-cam.com/video/DZuajfqMTco/v-deo.html
@@airphysio thanks but did you read my whole message? I already considered that u might be blowing too hard. @@chadhubert2529 Thank you for your reply. I did read the whole message and confirmed what you had already confirmed. I'm sorry about the miracle device comments. Although it is great that some people are experiencing these results, most people start experiencing changes by the end of the 1st week and then better results by the end of the month. These reviews give expectations which aren't normal and we have had people expect a result within 1 go which isn't realistic for everyone. The standard response is that you feel a loosening on the chest and easier breathing as a sign of improvement in 1 week and the best results are experienced in 3-4 weeks. Hi Ashley, Please find a link with the Spanish versions - www.airphysio-betterbreathing.com/ap-how-to-videos
Se costasse 200 euro varrebbe comunque ogni centesimo, grazie ❤️
I watched like 10 of these damn videos today and not a damn one shows anyone actually coughing up any mucus and every single one tells you to go buy it. If you want my $70, you better show some actual results.
Hi Pacific Castaway, it isn't normally one of the videos which we put up as it can be embarrassing for the person. Please see this video, it is a raw video done on the spot and shows how quickly it can work - ua-cam.com/video/MuDsIKeV2pA/v-deo.html
Check with your doctor before buying. There are loads of useless devices being sold due to bogus glowing reviews.
Who wants to see anybody coughing up mucus it would be horrible to watch but i understand what your saying
The same can be achieved by breathing in. Then breathing out slowly, while gently patting your gap in your lips with your hand. Repeat this a number of times and you'll bring the mucus up.
Is this the same as an Acapella device?
Hi Scott, it is similar to the Acapella, but according to testing, it is more efficient at improving mucus clearance.
@@airphysio Thanks for the information.
@@scottjohnson6343 You're most welcome and have a fantastic weekend.
I don't get how it takes mucus out, makes absolutely no sense. Someone explain this please.
Vibration reversed think mechanical
It lets you get mucus out of your lungs I personally find it a fabulous equipment It is helping me Thanks to my airphysio
Step 5 - does not say weather you do a deep inhale (not filling lungs fully) like the first step & then hold breath? Or you just take in a normal breath?
Hi Tom,
I would take a deep breath, this will help with the exhalation.
So I tried just barely blowing I’ve adjusted the force from almost nothing to very hard and the ball just doesn’t rattle. I finally got it to work right by adjusting the angle of the device. But I don’t really feel anything in my chest. But as long as the ball is rattling it’s working? So far I think it kinda work? Not the miracle everyone described it as but I’m gonna keep using it. Could just be that I haven’t done it enough
Sadly we aren't in control of these reviews and they are great to hear, but give an unrealistic expectation for most people.
@@airphysio no worries! I have been able to cough up some mucus but it’s been minor. I am getting over a cold and I always cough for about a month after getting a cold because it takes so long to get the mucus out. I’ll continue daily use and see how it goes. It it can even shorten the time frame down to a week or two it’s work it.
@@chadhubert2529 This should definitely help you with the cold. By getting the infected mucus out of your lungs, you should be able to clear it up sooner, I've been using it for mine as well.

Can this also help stop snoring?
Hi Aaron, I’m sorry to say no, it isn’t designed to help snoring.
@@airphysio thanks for the reply,I will still buy because I want to be able to breath better going up stairs at work and we do alot of walking
@@AZZINATOR4 we’re here to help if you need anything.
perche non posso avere versione italiana ??
man it been over a year I'm breathing better than ever orale
Do I remove the device from my mouth at every breathe? Can I just keep it in my mouth and do the breathing exercises? Thank you
Has this worked for you?
@@gkelectrical1 I’m only on my second day I don’t seem to have enough breathe to male a steady stream but they say it will get better so I am continuing. It does make you cough.
I have to take it out after a breath.
Hey how have you been feeling now? I’m planning on purchasing it
How does this device work on smokers/vapers? Is it ok to use if you are currently still smoking or vaping? Thanks
Hi S Hay, this should help your mucociliary escalator to function more effectively by removing the excess mucus foreign particles breathed in. It is still fine to use while smoking or vaping.
It likely won’t do you any damage to use it but it won’t undo the damage smoking does, giving up would be a better cheaper fix.
@@DR-nh6oo We have had numerous ex-smokers who have had their lung function improved through use of the device, even 1 person who told us that she was able to take her oxygen tube out for the first time because of using the device. I hope this helps.
AirPhysio Mucus Clearance and Removal OPEP Device but as I said above, the claim is it can be used while still smoking.
my father wants one of these and i gotta say i still have no idea what this does and as for your website the whole thing looks sketchy as fuck.
If you hum it works better
Has anyone used this during or after having Covid? If so what are the results
What is the purpose of holding your breath 2-3 seconds before blowing?
An SC why not expand lungs fully before blowing?
The device combines deep breathing with the device to help expand and open up your lungs. The purpose of holding your breath for 2-3 seconds is to allow the oxygen to go deep into your lungs and be absorbed and replaced by carbon dioxide before being released when you breathe out. I hope this helps.
Where can this be purchased?
You will have a hard time removing the clear cap to clean it..I bought one to help my husband after having Bronchitis. It works but can not get the top off to clean it properly. Wasted 70.00 for one time use of 3 days
Hi Fay S, Can you please contact us at info@airphysio.com and we will either help you to open the cap and get it working better for your husband, or replace the device. We are here to help and are happy to call you if we can.
Not to be awkward but couldn't I use the exact same steps just using say a balloon? 🎈
no response huh?
@@fdotbiz Maybe, how would you get the vibration though? and the 'backflow' would be 100% carbon dioxide filled with particulates that your body was attempting to get rid of. Wouldn't that be counterintuitive? Happy to be wrong, because thats a cheap as hell alternative.
So far the AirPhysio has not worked for me
AirPhysio device is something which may take time, although some people gain results in minutes, most people start feeling the effects in a week or so,
How long have you had the device and how often are you using it please? Would you like a call to go over your technique and see how we can improve it please?
Mary, any update on whether it’s worked for you?
This, or - just buy a metal straw and blow into a big glass of water.
I sit in my vibrating recliner and do the breathing technique, I’m better now ! I saved money 💰
Keep your cheeks tight 🤣🤣

damn, I wish I had lungs
You wouldn't be alive if you don't have lungs or the means to breathe oxygen into the body. Oxygen is used to create energy at a cellular level and remove the waste Carbon in the cells. Without oxygen we create 1/16th of the energy in the cells and the waste product is Lactate also known as lactic acid.
Hi Watchers Animations ... This is not to joke about, go on UA-cam in a humor section!!!
Surely this is a scam - you breathe into a bit of plastic like a puffer and somehow it's magic? I'm either missing something or your marketing team need to go back to uni.
Missing a brain…try looking into it
